Reliably Great Accomodation
Reliably Great Accomodation
We stayed here nearly a week with a 1.5 and 4.5 year old. Even with the temps near 90 during the day, everything cooled off quickly with ample fans around the condo. Outside noises mentioned by other reviewers didn't disturb us or the kids one bit. It was nice not needing AC for a whole week. The 3rd bedroom was quite useful for us as a gear room to store strollers, backpacks, etc. We asked if there was a pack and play available, there wasn't. But just days after we booked the property the owner told us they bought one at a yard sale, which saved us from lugging a pack and play through airports. What an excellent accomodation that was, certainly this was over and beyond what we expected! Moreover, the owner was very informative about the plethora of kids activities the town offers, pointing us in the direction of a truely memorable family vacation. We're now trying to find a way back!

excellent location, great owners
excellent location, great owners
I stayed here with my family (3 kids) about a year ago, for three days over spring break. The location is outstanding - it overlooks Howelsen Hill and the ski jumps. We walked to restaurants, FM Light & Sons, ice skating, & tubing. The other reviewer was spot-on regarding lighting and downtown noise, but we'll definitely stay here again next time we go back—it's very clean and well-furnished. The owners are great - we left my son's jacket behind, and it was in the mail shortly thereafter.

This property was immaculately clean when we arrived and everything was in perfect working order. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were updated and spacious. The location is great! We were seconds from the Yampa River Trail and rode our bikes or walked there every day. Bookstores, coffee shops, shopping, and restaurants are all within a block or two of the condo. In the summer, when the windows are open, the back 2 bedrooms could get noisy because you are just a block from downtown. However, we were not bothered during our September stay. Our only recommendation to the owner would be to add better lighting for reading.

Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: We moved to Steamboat soon after graduating college for the skiing, and came to love the valley so much that after about 20 years here, we stopped looking for a reason to leave! We could not be happier living, working & raising a family in a town that we love so much. As long time locals we have eaten, skied, hiked, biked, explored and experienced almost everything the Yampa Valley has to offer, and we'd love to share our recommendations with our guest. Please feel free to contact us with any questions!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We purchased this place because it is absolutely the best location in downtown Steamboat! Within walking distance to the majority of restaurants, shopping, hiking, fishing, tubing nightlife and spas and just a short (free) bus ride away from the Steamboat Ski Resort.
