Me, my wife and two other couples decided to travel to Pto Rico to have fun, enjoying the city, the people, food, beaches, etc...however since the first day we arrived to the airport, the problems started, nobody was there at the airport to guide us,we had to meet in a near place (basically on the street ) with a lady who guide us to the apartment ,the apartment was not ready at all, they not even had the keys for the apartment, apartment was completely dirty,no toilette tissue in the bathrooms, all the linen were stained, does includes towels and bed sheets,no WIFI at all, cellular signal is very bad,one of the fans not working, owner had to fix it while we wait, one thing that got us very mad and disappointed was the fact that all the air conditioner units had a TIMER,, terrible thing,because it limited us to use the air conditioner only for the time it was set up,once is done, we had to start over turning on again, TV on master bed room and Living room are set up to watch the same tv channels people is watching at the time,we found the neighbors downstairs had the same type of apartment in better condition that ours for $800 per week. the only thing we like was the beach access,beach was very quiet ( good for us ), we did not like the town, the other thing it was ok it was the proximity to the airport ( just 20-30 minutes ).other than that was fine, we rented a car and drove all over the city to meet new places, like el morro, el yunke, ponce, fajardo, luquillo, sanjuan, old sanjuan, Coamo, Culebras,Flamengo beach, Tamarindo beach ( snorkeling )...we want to recomend a very nice affordable restaurant called MI CASITA, in Isla Verde, San juan , excellent food , exquisite, delicious, good service, plenty of menu to choose from. another final thing to highlight it was the people around, our feeling was that people in the north of the city was not too friendly,was not easygoing,customer service was not good at all, but people that lives in the south of the city was nice, friendly, charming,easygoing. in general, we had a lot of fun while meeting new places but unfortunatelly we regret to say that we don't recommend to stay in the apartment we stayed at, at least until the owner can make some changes to improve the experience and comfort....GOOD LUCK FELLAS. Owner response: Dear Alvaro, When you arrived to Malibu Beach my property manager got confused and showed you another property you assured this was the one you reserved, my property manager claimed you to please check the contract that you personally signed. The contract specifies the reserved property, and it wasn't the correct property. Alvaro I am very disappointed on you and your friends at the false comment and claim,,, it says a lot about your personality!! In the past all of my elite customers had no complains they had a great on the beach at property and the surroundings. As we agreed when you arrived to the car rental you were supposed to give a call to my property manager and you never did and that was the reason she wasn't ready. The property it is always inspected before customer arrival, the property was neatly clean. Things break as they do in hotels and you own house and the problem was fixed. Yes you could find cheaper properties on the area, but with not with all the luxury and amenities and extras that I include on the price. This luxurious villa is designed for complete privacy; it has unique furniture, lighting, and decor for every room and living room. My best wishes, Carlos Camino

Fun on the Private Beach!

We had a great time at the condo, it was outfitted with everything we needed and more. There were chairs, a cooler and boogie boards for the gated (and very private) beach, and plenty of towels. The beach is literally steps away from the apartment, and we had it to ourselves most of the time. The kitchen was also stocked with all the pots and pans and dishes we needed. We were met at the rental car location by Carlos' assistant, and she was very helpful in getting us to the apartment and pointing out places to shop. We definitely felt cared for, which is comforting when you're in a new place! She also met us at the end of our stay to do a walk-through of the apartment and we got all of our deposit back. It's nice when you get exactly what you expect, and when everything is spelled out ahead of time. Carlos communicated everything (prices, what would happen when we arrived and checked out, etc), so there were no bad surprises! We will definitely stay here again the next time we're in Puerto Rico! There were five adults and we had plenty of room and were very satisfied. We enjoyed seeing the Iguanas around lunchtime, and sitting on the balcony and barbecuing at night. Loiza is also in a very central location, so it's easy to head to the rainforest or to go see the historical sites in San Juan.

Would highly recommend this property for families and older adults. It is quiet and secure. It is centrally located to many beautiful beach areas, points of interest like El Yunque, and shopping centers. The photos accurately reflect the rental's appreance. The property grounds are very well kept and clean. The pools are not crowded. The owner, Carlos was very helpful and gracious. I would recommend the Kioskos near Luquillo for eating. The Parrilla was excellent for seafood and steaks. I would recommend the trips out of Puerto Del Rey in Fajardo for snorkeling and island hopping. Would definitely come again. Must have a rental car.

We are two couples that had the pleasure of staying at Carlos' Condo in early October, 2010. Property is secure and quiet, away from the rat race of San Juan, but close enough to be easy to do day trips there. Listing accurately portrays the property and Carlos is very helpful and easy to work with. We made very pleasant day trips to San Juan, El Yunque Park, and the Fajardo area easily. A rental car is a must, and a GPS is almost a necessity. The pools on the property are very comfortable and the beach has fine sand. For anyone planning to spend time in the northeast section of Puerto Rico, the choice of this condo is highly recommended.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We were in Loiza the week of August 16 - 24 ! Then grounds are beautiful, private and very well kept. The condo is lovely and with a great view to the pools. Our grandchildren enjoyed the beach and most times we had the swimming pools to ourselves. It was as if we had our own private resort! Carlos is very accomodating and hospitable. We had an incident with our car rental, and he contacted his own travel agent and we had a vehicle within an hour! He saved the day, Thank you Carlos!

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

"We traveled 7/8-7/13 and had 8 girls with us that stayed at Carlo's condo. He called prior to our arrival to make us feel comfortable as well as answer any questions. As he had to travel,he made the arrangements with a friend of his meet us at the car rental place and escorted us to the condo which was definitely helpful as we probably wouldn't have been able to find it otherwise, as he always gives that service to his customers. The location was excellent and comforting ( 5 STAR RESORT) the resort was a security gated. The condo was everything that was described and very nicely decorated!!! The book with local information with pictures and location that Carlo's provided was great !! Loiza is located about 15 miles from the airport so you will definitely need a car. If you are looking or a quiet area to stay in, without the hustle and bustle of this is a great location!!! All the attractions weren't that far from the condo ... we went to Fajardo for a tour to Vieques and the drive was about 35 minutes. ...

The book that Carlo's provided was great but we all thought that it needed to be updated a little bit. Loiza is located about 35 minutes from the airport so you will definitely need a car. If you are looking for a quiet area to stay in without the hustle and bustle of San Juan, this is a great location. All the attractions weren't that far from the condo ... we went to Fajardo for a tour to Vieques and the drive was about 35-45 minutes. Overall the location was good for us. The pools were never crowded but we mainly did the beaches and a great beach which is about 15-20 minutes from the condo was called Luquillo Beach ... Must see and is ABSOLUTELY beautiful!

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Malibu Beach experience

My family of 7 stayed at Carlos's apt in Malibu Beach complex, in Loiza. He was very gracious about our late arrival and met us at the car rental facility and escorted us to his place. The apt was clean and nicely furnished and matched the photos exactly. The pool area was very nice and well maintained and never crowded. We swam every day and some nights until after 11 pm. The beach was right there - we did swim in the pool rather than the ocean - just our own preference. The Loiza area outside of the complex did not have any activities or places to eat locally - you definately need a car. We traveled to El Yunque (ziplined in rainforest - amazing!), drove the scenic coastal road, toured Old San Juan and snorkeled at the public beach near the Salty Dog rentals. The snorkeling equipment Carlos provided was great! The restaurant he recommended (Bebos) had tasty local foods at a good price -def worth the trip into San Juan. We would highly recommend this rental if you are willing to drive (most places we went were 30-45 minute drives) and want to explore more of this beautiful island than just San Juan.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

We had a wonderful time in your apartment. It is very beautifully decorated. It was great to have you meet us at the car rental and escort us to the apartment complex. All the recommendations for food were great. The book you had put together for the attractions was most helpful. I will highly recommend your home to anyone visting Puerto Rico.

This was our first trip to San Juan and we were pleased with how everything worked out with Carlos. He kindly picked us all up (6 adults) with our luggage from the port and brought us to the car rental place and the escorted us to his place. It absolutely met our needs and more. You know when you do the organizing that you hope everyone will be okay with your bookings well I'm pleased to say everyone was pleased with the condo and the price!!! Whew! Carlos's recommendations and directions to sightsee and shop (lady's) were great. Thankyou Carlos John & Sheila, Ron & Celia, Jim & Susan

Carlos was very welcoming and helpful!!!! The Villa was clean and in excellent conditions!!!; Beautiful gardens and luxurious decoration ; the beach had great sand 4 snorkeling equipment and body board we had a lots fun on the pool, during the day and night!!! This place is a perfect getaway for 2 couples or families. The owner is honest and extremely helpful and eager to please his guests. The pool and beach provide a perfect place to relax. There are large shopping centers and grocery stores within a 15 min drive. The condo was clean and updated with modern appliances and furnishings as well as flat panel TV, stereo, DVD and WiFi. A nice place to hang and relax!

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
