A Fascinating Medioeval Tower on the Borders of Lake Garda

Our Home: Tower: Entrance and small sitting room. A charming winding staircase leads to the pretty double bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. The windows of the tower give a lovely view on the Lake and on the garden below. Continue up the winding staircase to the second twin bedroom and up again to the top of the Tower: enjoy the stunning view from this terrace: the Lake, Monte Baldo.
Connected to the Tower by a perfumed and lovely lemon garden is a dependence: here you will find a large and comfortable sitting room, with a living area and two (one double, one single) sofa beds. Next to the living room there is a large and fully equipped kitchen, plus a bathroom with a shower and a washing machine. Kitchen, living room and bathroom are all located on the ground floor.
The Garden: Our lovely romantic garden has a terrace with tables and chairs looking out to the Lake: from this position you can enjoy spectacular sunsets.
OUR HISTORY: The name Lazise has its origins in “Lacus”, which means “village by the Lake”.
This is a very ancient town: the area has been lived in since the iron era. Many remains of stilts have been found, and what has been found of the Roman times shows how Lazise, also blessed by its fortunate geographical position, had in fact become very important.
In Medieval Times it became so important, that a castle, walls, and moat were built.
During the XIII and XIV Lazise belonged to the Scaligeri – who completed the walls of the castle.
The Tower, opposite the Lake, has always had a great strategic importance.
Thanks to its privileged position, in recent times it was used as a watch tower, and also as a shooting lodge.

Villa dei Cedri, located in a 17th century Villa in the near village of Colà has Thermal waters, and swimming pools.
Giardino Sigurtà : is a beautiful Italian Garden 15 Km away (in Valeggio sul Mincio).

Theme Parks: Gardaland, Caneva World, and Movie Land (all 5 Km away).

This was our first visit to Lake Garda and it was just as beautiful as we thought it would be. But staying in such a fabulous home really put the cherry on the cake. The Tower was a totally unique and beautiful place to sta and the location of it could not be better. It is literally on the waterfront and just a few yards from the centre of Lazise. We really enjoyed our stay in the Tower of Lazise - it was fantastic to stay there! Lazise is a nice little city. The tower is lokated in the city, one minute to the pedestrian precinct at the lake. You really have a wonderful view to the sea. The tower and the house are very clean and you will find everything in the house, you need. The garden is grand and really wonderful. In the night it was very quiet. Round the property is a fence, perfect for children. The owner is very friendly! Dear Anna, thanks a lot for the possibility to stay in your tower. Your property is impressive and wonderful! We will come again:)Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Wir sind gerade zurück von unserem Urlaub im Turm. Es war wirklich fantastisch ! Man wohnt hier in einem malerischen mittelalterlichen Turm, alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Terrasse am Dach mit Aussicht über den Gardasee und die Umgebung rundherum ist wunderschön. Im mediterran angelegten Garten mit Blick auf den See und die vorbeiziehenden Passanten sind Liegestühle und ein Tisch mit Stühlen. Man gelangt über eine schmale Treppe in die Schlafzimmer im Turm, das Wohnzimmer ist ebenerdig zu erreichen, die Küche mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet. Das schöne Zentrum von Lazise ist in ein paar Schritten zu erreichen, ein paar kleine Strände, der kleine Hafen und die Strandpromenade auf der anderen Seite. Wir verbrachten im Oktober 12 Tage in diesem wunderschönen Anwesen und waren absolut begeistert . Es ist alles wie beschrieben und das Ambiente des Hauses ist einmalig. Die optimale Lage direkt im Ort ersparen unnötige Autofahrten. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüsst und fühlten uns rundherum wohl ! Sollten wir wieder einmal am Gardasee unseren Urlaub verbringen dann definitiv in dieser 'Burg' ; schöner geht's nicht. Grazie mille Anna & Giorgio !Did you find this review helpful? Stupenda la casa ed il contesto. L'immobile era perfettamente pulito e dotato di tutto il necessario. La Sig.ra Anna Fratta Pasini è una persona ospitale e gentilissima. La vista del lago è magnifica. Io e la mia famiglia (compresi due cani) abbiamo trascorso una bellissima vacanza. Ancora un ringraziamento ad Anna per la sua cortesia. We stayed here in july 2011 with 5 children and had a great time. The medieval tower overlooks the Garda lake and was cool even in the hot period we stayed there. The old city centre starts right next to the appartment and on the premisis is enough private parking space for three cars. The most joyfull part of our stay was having our meals in the garden under the pergola overlooking the Garda lake. There is a tiny beach about 200m. from the appartment, but we chose to drive a few miles south to Pacengo, where they have a larger beach. The appartment is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and a gas BBQ. Anna, thanks for the nice stay and your good care! We will return...Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
