If you want an escape & a place for the entire family to enjoy, this is a perfect rental. The owner was very accomodating and helpful; the neighbors were friendly yet not intrusive; the house was very clean & has everything you need (about 100 towels!). The house is close to a grocery store, CVS, restaurants, etc. The greatest feature was 2 living areas-one downstairs & one upstairs. Both are large with plenty of seating, TV's, Infinity cable. Even being full time Florida residents, this made the Keys one of our favorite locations for a get away from the city life. It would be hard to stay in a hotel after this rental experience.

5-stars all the way! I have not been to the Florida Keys in 15-years and this was one of the best vacations I have had ever! We were fortunate enough to have 2-weeks at the house and we did not want to leave. The house is everything it says. The first morning we woke up to a horseshoe crab on the beach and iguanas running around the back yard. We loved sitting on the dock in the morning with our coffee and in the evenings with a cocktail watching the sunsets. The layout of the house was great for our group of 10 (ages 16 - 84), there was plenty of room to spread out and not get in each others ways. Dinner at the large kitchen table was always fun. We were able to fish off the dock, snorkel in the area and just float in the water. There are two things to be aware of regarding the beach. The first is that it is a typical Florida Keys beach, that means there are rock, seaweed and sea grass, this is not Waikiki in Hawaii, not go there expecting it, this is not a negative, it is a simple statement of fact. The other thing is we did have a LOT of bottom jelly fish and we had to be careful. We just took a little rake and pushed them under the dock and everything we perfect, but you should check the area before getting in or letting the little ones in. The water is great for smaller kids since it is so warm and shallow. I also recommend renting paddleboards, there is a number on the fridge of a place that will deliver to the house, there are a BLAST!. Thanks again for sharing your house with us!

We just returned from a week stay at this rental property. When we first arrived we were amazed at how beautiful it was, much more than we ever expected. As we walked through the house, and the outside property it just got better and better. The inside of the house is laid out perfectly. We had 7 adults and 3 children and had more than enough space. Everyone had their own bedroom with a bathroom and the kids had their own entertainment room upstairs. The window views are amazing especially downstairs (breathtaking). The small beach area is perfect and the water is shallow enough not to have to worry about the young ones but deep enough for snorkeling. We saw many interesting sea and land creatures ( horse shoe crabs, blue crabs, barracudas, many different kinds of fish). The first morning we got up there was an iguana right on the dock which was very neat to see. He showed up off and on throughout the week. He was harmless. The dock was also perfect for fishing, sunning, or just relaxing. We caught many different kinds of fish from the dock and the sunsets were gorgeous. We have so many pictures that look like postcards. I could go on and on. We were more than pleased with the rental and would recommend it to anyone. We honestly can't think of anything negative about this property. We give it 5 Stars.

We just returned from a week at this property and I have to say the property description was not accurate...it was far better than the description ever made it sound. The private beach was beautiful and very child-friendly. We had a 3, 4 and 5 year old and they had a great time building sand castles and hunting tiny sea shells. The water stayed very shallow so the children could wade for some distance without getting deep. The dock made for beautiful sunsets and great snorkeling. The property was very clean and well maintained. There was very easy access to grocery stores and shops. We went diving in John Pennecamp and fishing out of Islamorada...very easy access. I can't say enough great things about this home and I only hope that there will be a time when we can return for another week. I highly recommend this home because it has lots of room. The three couples (grandparents, children with grandchild, and friends with two children) did not feel cramped or crowded at all. There is a separate living area upstairs where the children could play with their cars or watch a movie. If your decision is between this one and another, and all other amenities seem the same, select this property. You will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful week in the Keys for my 50th Birthday celebration! We had all ages from young children, 20 somethings, middle age and seniors. I can honestly say there is something for everyone in the Keys. My niece and nephew loved the Theatre of the Sea. My twenty something boys liked Robbie's for feeding the tarpin. There are many great restaurants and outside bars to watch the sunset nearby. We also had some great dinners and nights at the house. It was very nice because the table was perfect and it was large enough for all of us to gather around the table. Many great games were played throughout the week at that table. Great place to pull our boat into the dock and for all of us to hang out during the day. The owner and the booking agent were most helpful and pleasant. For the price this is a deal. About the only negative, I can think of and it isn't really that negative is that the house could use a bit of facelift. It suited our needs just fine as it has a comfortable lived in feel. We love the Keys and would recommend a vist to anyone.

We had a wonderful week at your house. The house, dock, and beach, are perfect for a Keys holiday. To have our own beach was just amazing. The dock is great for our boat, and the bay is a great snorkeling, and kayaking spot. We would recommend this house, in a heartbeat, and we cant wait to get back there someday. The only suggestion we would have is about the grounds. When we arrived, the house was still being cleaned from the last guests and they had left quite a mess for the cleaning crew. It seemed like the crew could use more time to clean up from the last guests. The house was spotless, but the grounds needed more work. We do not fault the cleaning crew, because they did the best they could in the short amount of time they had. I would say they need a full day for a turnaround. The last quests had left the yard a mess, but we cleaned up happily, it was just bottlecaps, cig butts, and fireworks from 4th of July. Again, we do not fault the cleaning crew, we could tell that they had tried their best. We hope to make this house our Keys destination from now on. We loved the house, and will suggest it to all our friends. Thanks for a great holiday. ps. future guests: make sure to visit Calypsos on Key Largo, awesome food.

This house was perfect for us! Along with the relaxed atmosphere of Florida we had a great view of the water! We encountered so many different creatures. The first night we were there an Iguana was on the driveway, our son found a Sea Horse ankle deep from the beach, my husband found a Starfish, etc. Everyday was great with all the different things we found. Location was great too! Plenty of stuff to do within 20 minutes. Theater of the Sea we highly recommend if you want to take kids to see a Dolphin show, Sea Lion, etc. Every day was better than the last and we are already planning our next trip!! You will definitely enjoy your stay here, this place is perfect for small or large groups!

During Christmas of 2010 I decided to take my family of 12 (with 3 generations) to the Florida Keys for a Christmas present. We contacted the agent for this property and set up the week. WHAT a great decision, this place was great; it provided everyone with all that any could ask. We had 4 couples ranging from mid 70’s to early 20’s and 4 kids ranging from 8 months to 16 years. Each couple had a private bedroom, the kids basically had a room of their own upstairs, where they could get away from the adults and enjoy kid’s things, or they could choose to be downstairs and participate in the adult activities it was simply their choice. The private beach was terrific it gave the smaller children a place to swim safely and play on the beach, it gave the kayakers easy access to explore a bay with mangroves, and deep channels. For the true snorkelers the water was a bit shallow close to the house, and if a person had a boat over 25 feet it may have been a bit shallow getting to the dock. The backyard and the dock were a great place for everyone to set and enjoy the sun sets, while cleaning the days catch on the fish cleaning table. This property was very centrally located and gave everyone easy access to their own personal interests, and that’s saying something because we had 3 generations there, everything was easy from, dining, to fishing, to swimming with Dolphin’s, to the tourist stuff that the Keys are famous for, everything was right there. We cook for 15 people plus a couple guest, several nights at the house and found everything we needed, there were plenty of plates, dishes, absolutely no problems. BBQ was in great order. I read a review that said the house was in somewhat of disorder, and I never saw any of that. This place was exactly what it was supposes to be, and exactly what I was told it would be. I’d go back in a minute, thanks for a great vacation.

Words cannot describe what an incredible vacation rental this property is. My wife and I rented this house for a week in the month of September. From the minute we walked in the door we felt at home. The house was spotless and had everything we needed except our clothes, toothbrushes and food. The location is second to none and the view of the open bay was breathtaking. Every room has an unobstructed view of the bay. The dockage was perfect for our boat, and the parking was more than adequate. Walking out the back door onto a private beach, entering the water and returning minutes later with fresh lobster was something else! The house is very private and surrounded by beautiful, neatly trimmed folage yet it is located just minutes from every store, shop and restaurant the area has to offer. We found ourselves enjoying the house so much that there were days we never left the property. We highly recommend this vacation rental and have already made arrangements to return. Thank you for making our vacation a perfect and memorable one!

I cannot fault the location of this property in terms of the incredible views from the dock or the piece and quiet it offers on the Keys. The sunsets are amazing and the variety of wildlife in the garden (from 3 foot Iguana's to Sharks, Lobsters and Manatee!) was incredible. However, the property itself is somewhat tired. I won't provide the complete list of issues we found as this would paint an unfair view of the enjoyable week we spent their, however there are a couple of points I will raise. 1 - BBQ. This was in such a state that I spent at least 2 hours cleaning it and making it usable. Realistically, this has been so badly maintained that it is now a dangerous item that should be replaced. 2 - Closet doors. Nearly all doors were either damaged, out of their tracks of off their hinges. This made it very difficult with a toddler as the damaged doors could not be closed or had to be balanced a gained walls. 3 - Lack of quality crockery. At one stage the property may have had the necessary number of cereal bowls and wine glasses. There has obviously been a number of breakages that have depleted this to a point where the two families staying could not share breakfast together nor share a glass of wine in 'nice' glasses! A small but annoying issue. 4 - On the outside, the property is tired too. There are areas where the stone decorative cladding has fallen and remains where it fell, plus an untidy yard. We had to remove numerous plastic and a few metal bottle tops from the yard and it is clear that the owners do not employ a gardener to maintain the garden. 5 – The property was not very clean. It was acceptable but bathroom doors and kitchen cupboards were dirty. 6 – The refrigerator needs replacement. Shelves in the door were broken and could not be used. Also, there was a large amount of half eaten or used food left in the refrigerator. Things like dry pasta is acceptable but half used Mayonnaise, jelly, butter and other perishable items should be disposed of prior to a new rental. I raised these issues with the rental agent who was very responsive. However, she was not really able to respond whilst we were there other to ask me to purchase items that we needed. Given that I was on vacation I did not agree to shop on the owners behalf. Overall we did have a good week but the property is not what we expected nor does it match the description on the website. I have requested compensation from the owner given the above.

Owner response: Thank you for your input regarding your stay at out beach house. In response to you comments: 1: The BBQ grill has been cleaned and is in good working order. It was never unsafe to use. The portion that you were attempting to clean were the smoke bars which just needed to be disposed of and replaced. This has been done. 2: The closet doors were an issue because they were bi-fold doors which always seem to be difficult to close and stay closed. Therefore, all closet doors have been replaced with regular closet doors. 3: Stone decorative cladding on the side of the house has been re-attached.(2 rocks) The garden has been cleaned of any bottle tops or other debris. Beach front property tends to get a lot of items that wash up on the beach on a daily basis. You stated that the hosue was not very clean, but acceptable. Not sure what that means, but a thorough cleaning of the ktichen and bathrooms was carried out and all food items will be removed from the refrigerator on a regular basis. The shelf in the refrigerator has been repaired. The refrigerator was not replaced, as it is fairly new. On a positive note, we are happy that you had an overall good experience staying at our property. The views and the beach are unbelieveable and the rates for a home of this size are a great value. Thank you for your comments.

My family and I rented this house for a week at the end of April 2009. The house is very spacious and comfortable. The owners were fantastic in regards to arranging payments and contracts. This was one of the easiest rentals I have ever had to go through. Bayside access gave us a small beach area and dock. Beaches are difficult to find in the keys! Believe it or not. Plenty to see off the dock - lots of lobsters, parrot fish and other tropical fish. We went snorkeling every day right in our backyard. There was plenty to see. Absolutely no complaints. Comfortable, safe, relaxing and close to pretty much anything in the upper keys. Would love to make it an annual vacation destination. THANK YOU!
