Our family just returned from a two week vacation at Starfish. We have been renting luxury villas for the past several years from Hawaii to St. Thomas and Starfish is at the top of the list and one that we will return to in the future. The villa is perfect, the beach was spectacular. We were treated to a perfectly calm sea and over the two weeks we were also boogie boarding on the same beach. The sunrise is incredible, the patio area is spacious and we enjoyed cooking out almost every evening. We woke up early for the sunrise and headed to Marigot for a fresh fish run for dinner. The island is definitely the "friendly island". The owners provided so much information from restaurants to car rentals that our trip was smooth sailing from start to finish. Thank You, Thank You, Thank you.

We thought we had arrived in heaven. Villa Starfish takes your breath away as soon as you open the door. Beautifully furnished and modern, very clean and extremely well maintained, nothing overdone, very tastefully decorated. The grounds and flowers beautiful and gardens immaculate and the little birds! The location is perfect, close to town and an easy drive to all the shops, but also far away enough to feel private and restful. We are a family of 5 (with teenagers), and there is never a moment we felt crowded, always a quiet spot inside or out to relax. The outdoor deck/patio is huge, you could really entertain at Starfish villa! We loved the iPod dock and satellite music, and the outdoor speakers. The bedrooms very comfortable, spacious and linens high quality, dreamy huge bathrooms and showers. The delightful housekeeper kept us organized and tidy every morning, so all of our time was spent in vacation mode. The beach and view we will never forget. That blue water like no where else. Swimming in the pool you just lift your gaze and there it is! We drove around the island and went to town most days, very easy from this villa. We enjoyed the dining within walking distance, the convenient little grocery. I have to mention the front office staff, from the initial email inquiry to the goodbye waves, we felt well looked after and the sincere service, always available. We chatted with many people who were curious about the CBC and wondered how to book such a stunning vacation spot. We are already talking about coming back some day, more to do in St Martin than one trip can bear and Villa Starfish would be our worry free choice for sure. It was a very long way to come for us, but worth it!. Perfect for families or couples, or anyone wanting a quality vacation.

We just returned from a fabulous stay at the Starfish Villa. I would echo all the previous reviews here that it is indeed an excellent choice on St. Maarten. It fit us perfectly as a family and I think it would also be great for a group of friends. The villa is ideally situated right on the beach, within walking distance to a few restaurants and stores, and within a close drive to Grand Case and Marigot and even some restaurants on the french side of oyster pond. The villa itself is stunning - lovely furniture both inside and out. Everything is spotlessly clean and new looking. Overall just a great place to stay and hard to imagine anything much better than this!! We are looking forward to returning sometime in the future.

Best Family Vacation!

We had an exceptional trip (“best family vacation, ever” as my husband has told many people) and have already recommended it to several friends and colleagues. Our party had 4 adults and 2 small children. The place is beautiful (almost better than the pictures) and the location was very easy with little ones (although I would love to go back with a few other couples as well). The owner was exceptional in helping us settle on this location and made suggestions to make our trip much easier with the little guys! We did a lot of walks down the beach for drinks/dinner (4 restaurants within a 2ish minute walk) and enjoyed being pool side during their naps or early bedtimes. The waves were a bit wild for the small ones, but Galion Beach is relatively close and it is more like a large lagoon. Highly recommend a rental car to explore the island (although there are still many things we didn’t get a chance to do) (markets in Marigot, restaurants in Philipsburg, etc.). We had a few things need attention from the Coral Beach Club and all was handled promptly and professionally. With housekeeping keeping us supplied with fresh beach towels and the pool cleaned daily, it is absolutely a place to kick back and simply relax with the iPod on the outdoor speakers. My kids would give the outdoor shower 6 stars as that was their favorite way to wrap up playtime outside. One note is that the pool is not heated so it was a bit chilly in January, but the St Maarten sunshine is plenty warm!! We were able to rent a pack n play (which fits in the master closet) and high chair from CBC to save the luggage. Wonderful week!

We spent a wonderful week at Starfish Villa. The accommodations were gorgeous. We loved the ocean view and the convenience of having a pool a few steps away. All of the people were very friendly. We tried all the restaurants nearby as well as some in Marigot and were pleased with the service. It was great being with my family in such a beautiful place.

My husband and I would both agree that we received outstanding customer service from everyone at CBC from the beginning of planning our honeymoon, until we checked out. The grounds were very clean and well kept, and the housekeeping service was exceptional as well. Josette (?) at the front office was very helpful in assisting us to plan our dinners and activities. We both felt like everyone went above and beyond to make sure that we had a pleasant experience at CBC, and they made for a very memorable stay for us. Needless to say – we were very pleased with our experience at CBC, and especially the Starvish Villa. We plan on returning again soon.

I don't know where to start.... Everything was great, from the point we were greeted at the airport to the check out. Very clean and well maintained villa, superior views, almost like private beach. I contacted the owner directly, and they were just great to deal with. The whole time we were there, we were already planing our return. There is a small restaurant near by that has the (I think) Philly's cheesesteak sandwich, actually everything tasted great. At the property there is a another restaurant Blue Fish, highly recommended. The lady at front desk was also very helpful with rent a car, and booking other activities. In fact they even negotiated tour for us to get us the best deal. We will for sure go back, I just don't know when. I just wish there were direct flights from Los Angeles. Thanks for everything, this was a vacation that we won't forget!

Amazing Vacation!

In May 2012, a group of 4 gals got together and ventured down to St. Maarten. The trip was just what we needed. A relaxing, fun and amazing vacation. I had seen this villa on VRBO about a year prior to the trip and saved it. This view, pictures and villa has a whole had me.The main reasons we booked this villa was location and the outdoor terrace! We wanted to avoid renting a car and this location was perfect for us. There are several restaurants within walking distance but we were also able to venture out via taxi to other areas on the island. We even took a day trip to Anguilla Shoal Bay – which was an easy trip and well worth it. The villa was just as pictured and we spent a TON of time on the terrace just enjoying the view and relaxing. Upon our arrival the water was a bit rough and had quite a bit of seaweed. However, by mid-week the seaweed had cleared. And we didn’t let it affect our trip! How could you with that view and pool! The villa was very comfortable from the living room to the outdoor lounge furniture. I have never slept so well away from my own bed. But here the bed/mattress was perfect. I’m already trying to get the gals together again for a return trip!

We all thought the Villa was amazing! We had so much fun and would all love to come back some day. The location was breathtaking and we enjoyed the restaurants/bars that we could arrive at with a just a lovely walk down the beach. We spent a lot of time out on the patio/pool area basking in the sun, reading, and relaxing. The decor and layout of the villa was fantastic and we all determined that you have the best villa of them all. Thank you again for sharing it with us,

Outstanding Beach Rental

We live in Ohio and our number one "must have" for a vacation rental is proximity to the beach. This property fits the bill in all respects! We have traveled in Mexico and the Caribbean and this beach by far wins our vote as most beautiful! I could not get my husband to leave and visit other areas of the island. Starfish Villa is at the end of Dawn Beach, which is a more private and secluded area. Mr. Busby's and Daniel's By the Sea (restaurants) are a two minute walk down the beach and provided us with some of the best cuisine on the island. Starfish Villa is a one-of-a-kind property. It is well built and luxuriously furnished. When you first walk in the front door the property will take your breath away. The views from the villa cannot be beat! I loved the gourmet kitchen and the Travertine floors. You can hear the ocean from the main living area as well as the master bedroom and bath. The overall design of the villa is very open, airy and takes advantage of the natural light. The bathroom sinks boast a whimsical flare and the showerheads are state-of-the-art. I really appreciated the blackout liners in the draperies as we have these at home and most vacation rentals do not think to include them. That is what makes this villa special. The owners put thought into every detail. The outdoor terrace and plunge pool were exquisite. No hustling with other guests to find a lounge chair. We spent most of our time reading, sunning or napping on the terrace when we weren’t in the pool or walking on the beach. The decadent outdoor living space was another reason that we chose to stay at Starfish Villa. We can’t wait to return to paradise!

Laid-Back & Relaxing Luxury Vacation

As our thoughts turn to our Winter 2012 Family Vacation Planning.... it's unanimous.... we're returning to Villa Starfish at Coral Beach Club in St. Maarten! Last year's family vacation with my husband and 2 adult sons (one brought his significant other) provided the perfect opportunity to de-stress and spend quality time together in a picture-postcard setting, right on gorgeous, uncrowded Dawn Beach. Villa Starfish is a handsome property that certainly lives up to it's website description and photos. As we're all avid cooks, we took advantage of Villa Starfish's gourmet kitchen and outdoor grille to relax and cook up a storm! One of our favorite St. Maarten activities is to drive to Marigot in the early a.m. to purchase freshly caught lobster and fish from the fish vendors at the kiosks on the beach. After an espresso and croissant at one of the French bakeries.... it's back to Villa Starfish for a day of relaxation and sun -- laying in the comfy chaises and plunging into the beautiful pool to cool off. In the evenings, we often stroll the beach, which we virtually have all to ourselves.... The tastefully decorated villa is spacious, clean and well-maintained. We found the Coral Beach Club staff to be quite helpful and the daily maid service to be excellent. Having a washer / dryer in the unit is very convenient. The three bedrooms are beautifully appointed and each has an ensuite bathroom with state-of-the-art multiple shower heads/sprays. Plenty of towels and thick, terry robes complete the spa ambience. Villa Starfish provided us with the opportunity for a relaxed, laid-back, luxury vacation and we are looking forward to repeating the experience again this year.

GORGEOUS!!! We are a family of 5 adults and a 2 yr old. This vacation was paradise for all of us.. Starfish was spotless and totally relaxing.. we enjoyed the pool and the beach and didn't want to leave this splendid villa.. we all can't wait to return.. p.s. many good places to eat, when we dragged our selves away from the patio and the view..

We just returned back home to Northern Indiana, greeted with bitter cold and a foot of snow. Making our time in St Maarten even more special. Villa Starfish far exceeded my personal expectations, a stunning villa with a beautiful beach and a view to die for. The photos on this website though excellent really do not do justice to just how spectacular this property is, you need to see it to believe it! A much needed family vacation with my wife, 2 adult sons and their significant others allowed us to reconnect and have the time of our lives at this prime location. The Coral Beach Club is a great property with an excellent staff. Great dining options nearby when Sand Gravity took affect and we just wanted to walk to lunch or dinner. Mr Busby's / Daniel's by the Sea, Big Fish, Beau Beau's and Mama's Pizza were all excellent. This Dawn Beach local is still convienient enough by car to all other island activities making travel very easy. Starfish Villa allowed us the opportunity of living the life of the rich and famous. An extremely clean and well maintained unit with the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in (My wife is currently shopping for the same mattress set). The ensuite bathrooms with remarkable rain forest shower heads and full body sprays was tremendous. The daily maid service was also exceptional. The patio & pool deck provided great lounge furniture and plenty of space. We couldn't have asked for more. I would not hesitate in recommending this villa to any of my friends, in fact I already have. My heartfelt thanks to Anna, Starfish's owner as well as Anju the property manager for providing my family with a great vacation venue. It would be our plan to have the privledge of returning back in the near future. My oldest son's parting remark to me as we were leaving Villa Starfish, "Dad, you really outdid yourself this time". Music to my ears. Thanks Starfish!

The villa is blissful - an open easy, luxurious style on a beach that is savage and manicured at the same time. Dawn is an expectant and rich time of hope, rest and contemplation. It is a perfect setting and place of renewal. Your care in decorating was greatly appreciated.

Where do I begin? Starfish Villa was like a paradise come true. It is brand new and being on the beach, its awesome. I have 2 younger sons who love to snorkel and Dawn Beach is a great place to do it (they saw lobster and a barracuda). It was great to also have your own private pool and covered gazebo when you got hot. Every detail has been taken care of and our vacation here ranks up with 1 of the best trips we have ever taken

(Right here at Dawn Beach we saw squid and numerous fish) - only thing we did not get to see and do was the horseback riding due to our time constraints - we will get to it next time. We will be sure to return next year for a repeat of our fabulous time. Till then, cheers!!!

October 2008 What a fabulous week!! This villa is truly extraordinary and we loved the time that we spent here :) The showers indoor and outdoor were great! Living room and kitchen well equipped. Flat screens in all of the rooms was fabulous. Washer and dryer was convenient and useful. We spent our week surfing (Galion bay), shopping (Marigot & Phillipsburg) and snorkeling

Our stay at the starfish was fantastic. The combination of the beautiful pool and steps to the beach and ocean could not be beat, what a fabulous vacation. It entertained us all from ages 4 to 50. The living space was very spacious, plenty of room for our family. We look forward to returning next summer and having another great vacation

We stayed at the Starfish Villa for a week in September - and we had a fantastic timeâ?¦the villa was magnificent!! We are already talking to our friends about planning a trip for next summer. The villa would be great for 3 couples! It had everything we needed, and was so comfortable, and beautifully decoratedâ?¦ The weather was great- with the exception of the first dayâ?¦it rained the whole day and night, and we were thinking to ourselves "thank goodness there is cable in the villa, because we will need it if this weather continues!" Fortunately, we awoke to a beautiful sunny day the next day, and it only rained for a little while every day. We couldn't have asked for better weather! We were pretty active this trip- I think we drove around the island 10 times that week! We went scuba diving with Octopus Diving in Grand Case (Sally and Chris, the owners, were fantastic!), we went to Orient Beach a few days, we went shopping in Phillipsburg and Marigot a few times (and picked up the watches we were longing for!), and of course, my husband spent HOURS snorkeling right in front of the villa on Dawn Beach. We also spent some time at the casino and spa at the Westin. The food on the island was fabulous- we mostly stuck around Oyster Pond/Dawn Beach, but did make it to the Lalo's in Grand Case, as well as La Gondola (which was fantastic!). Unfortunately, some of the restaurants we wanted to attend (La Semanna, Rare, etc) were closed for "low season". Around the villa, we loved Mr. Busby's (Daniel's), Le Frigate, and Dinghy Dock (best fish-n-chips EVER, and great laid-back atmosphere). Oh, and Big Fish was also delicious, and was really hopping every night. We look forward to staying again! Stephanie & Brian
