This clean, cozy, furnished studio is located in a small apartment building a mile north of Green Lake. The address of the building is 8500 Linden Avenue North. The building is within a block of direct bus service to the University of Washington and the Seattle city center. The studio is on the ground floor and has its own private entrance.
The unit is exceptionally clean and welcoming. There is a couch which converts into a bed and a small dinner/work table with chairs. Cable TV is provided. The TV has a built-in DVD player and there is a small DVD library. The unit has high speed internet service with a wireless router.
The kitchen has a full size stove, refrigerator and microwave. There are plenty of utensils to make cooking easy. The unit has a very comfortable queen size bed. The sofa converts to a platform surface larger than a twin size bed. All linens are provided. Washer and dryer are available one floor up, which is accessible through an interior staircase.
There is plenty of street parking near the building. You can generally park right in front of the main entrance or a few feet away.
This property is intended for stays of at least one week. It is often used by business travelers or vacationers who want the convenience of a full kitchen. We regret that we cannot rent for periods of less than one week. In keeping with our goal to make this a temporary home away from home, we also allow pets. There is an additional damage deposit and small cleaning charge associated with having a pet in the unit.
Using the studio as home base, it's easy to commute by bus. The #48 stops right across the street and goes onto the UW campus. One block away the #358 express bus to the city center stops about every fifteen minutes. The bus ride to downtown takes fifteen to twenty minutes depending upon traffic.
You can bicycle to Green Lake, Woodland Park Zoo and local neighborhoods like Fremont, Greenwood and Phinney Ridge. The area abounds with coffee shops, restaurants and small shopping areas. There is an off leash area for dog owners just west of Green Lake, and a small community park within easy walking distance of the building.

Awesome! Outstanding! Excellent!!!! I can't say enough GOOD about this place! It met our every need plus much more! I felt incredibly "safe", with all the security, very warm with adjustable warm heat, complete kitchen, the bed was so comfortable and cozy with that down comforter, the remodeled bathroom and standup shower was so accommodating, the apt. was very neat and clean, and the comfortable chairs and cable tv was a real plus. Real convenient location, too! The owner was very prompt in response to a small cable adjustment we had need of and in correspondence leading up to our visit. I will highly recommend this wonderful place to family and friends! Looking forward to our next trip to Seattle to stay here again! This place made our vacation sooooo enjoyable!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, age 55+.

My wife and I spent a week in August at this safe and secure studio apt. It was CLEAN and COMFORTABLE, though we never saw or needed the renter, they made themselves easy to contact with notes left in the room.The free coffee was an added bonus we enjoyed, As well as the kitchen area provided us with a place to make our own meals to save on eating out. Not that there was lack of wonderful restaurants in the area to choose from as we ate our dinner out on the town. We would stay there again if we ever get back to that part of the world as we are from the east coast. could not have been happier with our stay! LETS JUST SAY I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND HAVE!Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

I traveld to Seattle from Baltlimore to see my newborn grandson. Usually I can stay in the 2 bedroom apt with my Daughter and Son-in-law, but with the new baby and 3 1/2 yr old, we needed a different plan. Making all the arrangements was made easy by the swift communicaton with the owners. This is a terrific apartment, with parking, privacy, laundry, great location! As the circumstances turned out, I stayed for three weeks. I would stay in any properties owned by this family. I recommend this particular one for a single or a couple, or a flexible family. I appreciated the full kitchen, closet space w hangers, laundry soap, coffee..everything we needed for a short stay, or until we could get to a grocery store. But most of all, I appreciated the care and concern of the owner family before our arrival and during our stay. What good fortune to have found this property! The only hesitation I have for writing a spectacular review...is that others will flock to this place now, and it would not be available for me the next visit!!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

This unit was a great place to have as a home base for our Seattle trip. Close to everything, clean, comfortable, good bed. The owners were very easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions or emails. I will definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

This is a great efficiency apartment for travelers on a budget. The location is convenient to Green Lake shops and restaurants. Public transportation is right outside the door. It's not a huge space but it is good for 1-2 people.Recommended for: Tourists without a car.

Very large, clean, and a wonderful value! Bed was extremely comfy; plenty of linens as well. Full kitchen with lots of utensils. I will definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, pet owners, age 55+.

This is an excellent value. The studio is well equipped and very clean. The owner's son lives in the complex and was very helpful. The location was perfect for us since our daughter lives on the edge of the University District. We particularly enjoyed the walk to her place with a stop at Green Lake which is a lovely park with boating, swimming, biking etc.. We would definately recommend this property and would like to stay there again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

Clean, Comfortable, Convenient. Great place. This studio is spacious, quiet, very clean, comfortable bed, and convenient to Seattle Center, downtown and other neighborhoods by nearby bus stops and by car. Photos are accurate but in-person is better! Thorough, prompt, clear email communications with owners. Outside of the typical tourist sites, check out these local neighborhood cafes: give the Green Bean coffee shop on Greenwood Ave a try - it's a not-for-profit that supports other not-for-profits and check out Beth's on Aurora Ave for an interesting experience and tasty breakfast. And don't miss the Fremont Troll and other great sites in that neighborhood.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Just spent 8 nights at The Linden. Convenient location on Seattle's north side. Value priced. Great arrival info packet. Caring owners were assessible and genuinely concerned about guest satisfaction. We are a Colorado couple with friends and family in Seattle. We used The Linden as a base area while visiting in the area. Would return again.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, sightseeing.

My wife and I stayed here for 10 days recently. We had absolutely no problems and were pleased all around. The amenities were excellent for the price. The apartment is quiet day and night, the neighborhood peaceful and safe. It is near Green Lake, one of our favorite parts of Seattle. It was everything we could have wanted. I heartily recommend it to all budget travelers.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

About the owner: My wife and I are retired and live in the country with four dogs, two goats and a flock of chickens. We are active in animal rescue work and have always accepted pets in our rental units. Our border collie usually accompanies me when I go to the building. She's a stickler for detail and makes sure I get everything just right for the next guest.
Why the Owner Chose Green Lake:
We chose our property because we love the neighborhood. Green Lake has always been a vibrant community with lots of interesting activities, especially for people who like to walk and bike. We especially enjoy Woodland Park and the rose garden, which are a short bike ride away. Proximity to the university and downtown make it a convenient place to stay for tourists and professionals.
