Experience the peace and quiet of the high country from this beautiful home with lots of warm wood throughout. This home is located in Boone North Carolina, and has just about every amenity you can desire:
- Great Multi-layered long range views from large decks and covered porches on all three levels of the house.
- Hot Tub on Main Level covered porch, just off the living room

- 10 Acres of Privacy
- Fire pit just next to the pond with fish
- Large 47 inch flat screen TV mounted above gas fireplace in the living room
- Large 47 inch flat screen TV in large upstairs Den with large sectional leather couch.
This is a large spacious home with many possible sleeping situations, so we will try to detail this here. This home can be used as a 5-7 bedroom home:

This home is just about 10 minutes from Boone, with all the amenities that Boone offers, as well as providing good access to Blowing Rock, historic Valle Crucis, Grandfather Mountain, and the area`s several ski resorts.
The views from this home are really breathtaking. The large deck is partially covered where you can be outside even in a rain, or you can be out on the deck on a beautiful sunny day to have a picnic overlooking the beautiful vista. There are many rocking chairs/swings/seats on the deck/porch to enjoy. Enjoy relaxing on the porch overlooking the mountain view, or enjoy the luxury through-out the home.
There is also a beautiful private trout pond just next to the house (not for fishing), and a carefully designed fire pit area for enjoying the cool nights around a camp fire.
The pool table is on the first floor in a finished garage with heat, but the floor is the garage slab (some guests have requested that we detail that specific).
Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, and Beech Mountain North Carolina are vibrant mountain towns that boasts a multitude of recreational attractions and outdoor activities as well as the cultural interest and diversity of being home to Appalachian State University and Lees McCrae College. Play tennis or go swimming in downtown Blowing Rock, play golf at the Boone Golf Club, or enjoy some of many cultural activities such as Horn in the West, symphonies, Art in the Park, or other artistic offerings. Enjoy some of the finest rainbow trout fishing in the world in the cool, clear waters of the Watauga River, just minutes away from this cottage. Visit the ski slopes of Appalachian Ski Mountain, Beech Mountain Resort or Sugar Mountain. Spend a day exploring the outdoor wildlife refuge and hiking of Grandfather Mountain or the Mountain and Western theme park of Tweetsie Railroad. Or maybe you are looking for extreme adventure and might brave the white water of the High Country`s guided rafting tours or head out for some extreme Mountain Biking trails. After a day of activity, enjoy a quiet evening in our comfortable, mountain retreat or partake of some of the area`s great variety of casual or fine dining establishments.

The perfect retreat!

This was the perfect vacation retreat for our group of volleyball players and chaperones. The cabin had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and lots of room to spread out to play games, watch a movie or just talk. The decorations were very tasteful and everything was very clean. The deck with rocking chairs, a hammock and swings was the best. The view was incredible and the hot tub was a big hit with the girls. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals. The downstairs (6th bedroom) also had a mini kitchen with full refrigerator and microwave oven. There is also a large grassy area in the front of the cabin that would be great for group games. Most of our activities were about 20-30 min away in Boone and Blowing Rock, but we noticed a State Park sign not far from the cabin. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return next year for our annual volleyball retreat! Thanks to the management company for being so pleasant to work with and to the owners for sharing your beautiful home!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
