  The unit was clean but a bit underfurnished. It would have been nice to have had two towels per person and couple of extra rolls of toilet tissue. I mean we did pay a two thousand dollars for a week. We called to have a few minor things repaired (garbage disposal, and bathroom vent fan) and the repairs were done. The filter for the ice maker should have been replaced and the remote in the master bedroom would not change the tv channels as well but we did not report that. We did like the location of the property and the amenities were as described. The adults especially liked the heated pool since the weather was a bit cool during our stay. The best thing we liked was that each bedroom had a view of the beach and the layout of the condo was great. I expected a bit more for the price but we did have a good time.

  Owner response: In our rental agreement we list the supplies and paper products included with the rental. We stock the unit with at least one full roll of toilet paper for each bathroom and at least one full roll of paper towels in the kitchen. We include this information in our rental agreement to inform our guests before they arrive that they will likely have to purchase additional paper products if they plan to stay for a full week. Our policy regarding bath towels is to supply each property with one towel for each person the property sleeps plus an additional two. There is a washer and dryer in the unit and we provide one Tide pod for each day of the stay so that our guests can wash towels as desired. We appreciate that this guest acknowledged our timely repair of the garbage disposal and bath fan. We try to respond as quickly as possible to maintenance issues. The TV remote related to the cable box sensor and could have been quickly resolved during their stay had we known about it. Splash Resort is a little more expensive than some other condominiums in the area primarily due to the water amenities. The resort caters to families with children and for those guests who appreciate and take advantage of the amenities, the extra cost is money well spent.   We stayed in this unit with both sets of in-laws and our two children. The lock-out unit was perfect for a little privacy and the whole family was more than happy with the amount of space in the condo. Our kids loved the pools and the beach, although the lazy river was too cold for swimming. The security at Splash was slightly overzealous, but I suppose that's because there are so many people in and out of PCB all the time. Beaches were beautiful, condo was beautiful, and the resort was all we hoped it would be. I would definitely stay here again!

  Everybody (there were seven of us) agreed that our Splash condo was the perfect place to stay. We didn't have to walk to the beach--just ride the elevator down, and we were only a few steps away from the ocean or the pool. Our accommodations couldn't have been more satisfactory. Everybody had great bedrooms with their own balcony with a magnificent ocean view! The decor was tastefully done, which added to our delight in our surroundings. The beds were comfortable (almost like being at home), and the kitchen appliances were clean and worked well. A delightful added touch was the artfully done clock in the kitchen! Overall, everyone agrees that Splash deserves a five-star rating!

  Everything about our stay at Unit 1601W at the Splash Resort was outstanding. The listing was accurate, including pictures. The Unit and the resort itself was very clean and well kept-up. The owner was very easy to work with, pleasant to talk to, and were honest and up-front in all encounters. We were there for 4 days/3 nights and only left the resort twice - we loved the fact that the water slides/lazy river/etc were 'right there'... as was the beach and the pools. The split unit served our needs perfectly. Everyone in our party loved the stay and we WILL be back! Recommended for any/all ages, but with kids/grandkids it's absolutely perfect!

  We absolutely LOVED our stay. The unit was more than we could have asked for. The set up of the rooms was SO ideal for us. We had 2 teenage boys 2 young kids, a grandma and 2 adults. This unit allowed us to have separation when we needed it and plenty of bathroom space. The kitchen/family room area was ideal. The VIEW is outstanding!!!!! Location is literally perfect. Not too much traffic and certainly family oriented! Pier Park is so close. Destin outlets about 30 minutes. We were so happy we chose Splash- Destin was really crowded. I highly recommend SPLASH and 1601-W. Tom and Mindy were awesome to work with- great customer service. We are pretty sure we are going to book again for next years spring break as it is hard to imagine a better time! thanks!!! Jennifer- Indiana

  Thank you for allowing our family to stay in your beautiful condo. We found the place to be perfect for our needs. The heated pool was nice and our afternoons on the balcony were perfect. Everything was very comfortable and we really enjoyed being so close to Pier Park. We look forward to booking again.

  We LOVE SPLASH and have been on several occassions to several different units--you can't beat Splash if you have small children. The covered waterpark is great when you get bad weather (we did) and it's a family friendly place in a good location. You will have to put up with a few inconveniences---a) it's a HAUL from the parking deck to your unit, b) there can be long waits for elevators, especially on checkout date---we waited 45 minutes for an elevator this time. Still, Splash is a GREAT place for a family vacation,,,...overall, this unit is a few steps below all the others we have stayed in. Ashlie the manager is GREAT to work with, and the place has a lot of space so it's good for larger groups in that regard.....but the furniture in this unit is old/worn out (reminded me of stuff you would get at a thrift store--frayed edges, stains), the walls desperately need painting, and the beds aren't nearly as comfortable as every other unit we've been in. On the main balcony, 3 of the 6 chairs are broken are just thrown over in the corner. We also found that the cleaning crew for this one isn't very thorough--mold in the ice dispensor was pretty gross, and the carpet was all stained up throughout and didnt look to have been vacuumed before we arrived....so overall, I still recommend Splash, but I'd only stay in this unit again if no other Splash units are available.

Your stay was in September at the end of a very busy rental season and although there is no excuse we are taking measures to make sure this year is much better for our guests.   The Only reason I give it 4 stars is because the pools were freezing! I thought I would be able to play in the splash area with my 15 month old all the time. She is a red head with really fair skinned so I did not want her to be on the beach the whole time. But the condo was awesome and the owners were great and very easy to deal with. I did read a lot of complaints about the elavators. We did have to wait some but not that bad. The people I heard complain the most was the one who were on the first couple of floors and could easily have walked up the stairs. I would stay here again. My 3 1/2 year old did not mind the cold water. Great location! Very clean grounds.

  Ok, the splash resort was great!!! I was a little worried after I booked the condo because I read some reviews and people said it was dirty and trashy with cigarette butts everywhere and the beach was a mess. Well, we haven't been to panama city in about 3 years- we've been going to destin instead so I thought maybe it has changed. But, it was absolutely great when we got there. The pool area and the beach were spotless!! No trash or cigarettes anywhere. The water was the most beautiful I have ever seen it!!! We had great weather everyday and we went to the beach every day. The staff and the kids that rent the beach chairs were great. The condo was perfect. Super soft beds and I love the balconies in every room. That was just wonderful. We had 7 people so a little more seating in the tv area would have been nice. The bathrooms are huge and very nice. I used the fitness center alot and it was really nice and clean. The treadmills look out on the beach and I watched the dolphins every morning while running. It was fabulous!!! It was a little far to walk to the car, but we only did that once a day so not too bad. I do wish that the lazy river and the splash park were heated. My kids used the 2 heated pools but the others were freezing. My son would go to the freezing splash pool and then run and jump in the heated pool next to it so it all worked out fine. We went on spring break so it was a little cool at night and the ocean was too cold for me to get in although my son got in as well as a lot of other people. The hot tub was very crowded in the evenings. But that's to be expected. We were looking for a nice place for our family with young children and this was the perfect place. I would love to come back next year. It was just far enough away from all the teenage spring break action but still close enough to restaurants and grocery stores. And the 3rd floor was great. I don't like be up too high. It makes me nervous with my kids. This was really like the 5th floor. Perfect. Restaurants: we went to captain andersons because we haven't been there in about 3 years. I don't think we'll ever go back. It's just too expensive for what you get. we went to hunts oyster bar way across the bridge and it was pretty good. The jalepeno oysters were the best!! Our favorite was dee's hangout on the main road. It was so good and great prices. We ate there twice. We also got some seafood from buddy's market. This trip was so nice. We'll be back. Thanks!!!
