  My husband and I stayed 4 nights in this great cottage to start off our 20th anniversary trip to Oahu. The property was actually more beautiful than the photos convey. The pool, hot tub and patio area is gorgeous and the landscaping is lovely. There is a grassy area and bar b que on one side, which was very private. The cottage had everything we needed to be comfortable and lots of extra touches including snacks and popcorn and a few sodas in the fridge. The owner surprised us with a bottle of champagne chilling upon arrival, which was so nice! The owner was helpful when needed, but tried to give us plenty of privacy. The location is great - it really is walking distance to Kailua Beach and the famous Kalapawai Market, which is great for breakfast or lunch and coffee. We would definitely recommend this property - the owners were really great to work with, too!

  My husband and I stayed at the Ohana House cottage for 7 nights and enjoyed every moment. The hosts are very helpful yet unobtrusive. They gave us excellent dining recommendations. Also, many amenities are provided: beach chairs, towels and tote, snorkel/fins, etc. The cottage is very clean and nicely appointed with Hawaiian decor. The swimming pool and jacuzzi are inviting and beautifully landscaped. The view from the cottage door is of the swimming pool area and very private. The view from the bed features a private window facing lovely palm trees and the sunrise - simply spectacular. The street is residential and very quiet; easy to sleep undisturbed with the windows open for the breeze. Parking is on a quiet cul de sac next to the private entrance to the cottage and pool area. We are regular visitors to family in Kailua and I hope to stay here often! What a find. Within easy walking distance to Kailua Beach and Town, this cottage makes for a most memorable and relaxing vacation experience.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  We found this cottage on vrbo after doing a great deal of research. We were not disappointed! In fact, we were so pleasantly surprised by how wonderful it was! Before we arrived, Wendy sent us directions of how to get there and where to park. The cottage is in a lovely neighborhood that feels tucked away from the main hustle and bustle, and there is a cul-de-sac to park in next to the gate entrance to the walled in yard. It is within walking distance to the beach (about 10 minutes) and a lovely walk it was, or about 5 minutes driving. The listing is described very accurately. There is a pool and hot tub for guests' use, comfortable padded lounge chairs, a sitting area off to the side that feels very private, and a bbq grill (we didn't use this but were happy it was available). Wendy had provided everything we needed for our stay: a basket in the bathroom (shampoo, conditioner, q-tips, soap, razor, etc), a welcome basket in the living area (popcorn, local jam, cookies, chocolates, breakfast bars), as well as snorkeling gear for two, a beach bag, and bath towels which we used every day. The grounds were beautiful with a lava rock wall surrounding the property and palm trees throughout. The cottage was very modern with bamboo floors and nice linens and sitting chairs. Wendy was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed talking with her on our few visits in the pool area. We would definitely recommend this cottage to family and friends! In fact, we're already thinking about going back in a year or two and staying in the same cottage! Mahalo Wendy!

  Everything about this cottage was perfect. We were surprised how nice the area was! It is situated in a quiet neighborhood about 2 blocks from kailua beach and about a 10-15 min walk to lanikai beach. Everything was very clean and the pool and hot tub were great! This rental beats a Honnolulu hotel by a mile! We are so glad we chose this over the crowded downtown area. You will feel like a local Hawaiian here. Wendy, the owner, was very helpful and a great host. She gave us plenty of privacy while still willing to answer any questions we had. Wonderful views of the mountains just outside the yard.
