We spent our 6th wedding anniversary at this cabin and will definitely stay here again. The setting is quite private, the creek next to the house is stunningly beautiful, and the cove on Lake Seed where the boathouse is located is very quiet, beautiful and brimming with fish. The house is awesome - wood everywhere inside, with lots of personal touches and artwork to enjoy. It is beautifully decorated and better equipped than the houses most folks live in - there were two of just about every item you would need or want in the kitchen. The owners have lots of info on things to see & do in the area, restaurant info, maps, etc. If you stayed there a month you still couldn't go through all of the games, books, DVD's, etc., provided. We've stayed in a lot of vacation rentals all over the country for a lot of years, and this is one of the best yet. We will be back, probably with family in tow - it would make a great family reunion venue. Our kitten, Josie, who accompanied us, also gives it 2-paws up :>))

We had such a wonderful time at Seal Creek Lake House. There was plenty of room in this beautiful lake home for nine adults. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed grilling and eating together at the table that was large enough for all of us to have plenty of elbow room. Evening found us around the table again playing cards and board games. The bedrooms were comfortable as well. Family room was great also for TV viewing, hanging out or reading. We also enjoyed fishing and swimming at the boat house, a perfect place to tie up our boat. The boat ramp was within sight of the boat house. The surrounding area is beautiful also. We hiked the trails and road our bikes. Plenty of sight seeing areas in the vicinity also. Wish we had been able to stay longer and hope to return again. The owner was quick to respond to all inquiries and sent addtional info and pictures when contacted about the house.
Owner response:We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again! Thanks, Carol

Perfect Mountain Home

My family and I spent the 4th of July at this wonderful home and it couldn't have been more perfect. The lake is the perfect temperature and the boat house has everything you need. If you rent a boat from the local marina or bring your own the boat ramp is 100 ft from the dock. The house has so much mountain charm and spacious enough to escape young kids. The covered porch has great oversized chairs to relax in while you watch a rain storm and there is a fire pit to roast some marshmallows on. The kitchen is gorgeous and we were able to cook every meal and have every utensil we made need which made our trip even more enjoyable. The running stream along the side of the house is so peaceful...what a wonderful oasis.

My family of 4 and my best friends family of 5 stayed very comfortably in this gorgeous retreat. This vacation was exactly what we all needed. The home is beautiful, the lake is breathtaking, the public boat dock is very convenient (we took our jetski), and the views are phenomenal. The area provided us a chance to hike the Tallulah Falls Gorge and Angel Falls. It's the perfect place to do nothing or do just about everything. Loved it.

My family choose this incrediable lake house for our holiday get together. It couldn't have been better. The hot tub was great, the fire pit was fun for the kids and even though it was too cold for the lake we loved staying inside. They had tons of movies, books and games for everyone. We can't wait to come back in the summer! thanks for a great time!!!
Owner response:Stacey, It was so nice of you to send in your comment I am glad you all had such a nice family holiday. I look forward to having you visit us again this summer. Thank you for taking such nice care of our home. The housekeeper said it looked great.

We had a wonderful week in your home! Loved the view of the creek from the kitchen window ... so peaceful. Great kitchen ... had everything we needed. Loved the master shower. The boys loved fishing off the boathouse dock daily and the dogs had a great time too. Lake was beautiful and secluded. Didn't want to go back to reality ...

Our family had stayed in this wonderful home last year. This time we brought my brother's family with us. The home is so lovely and decorated in such a welcoming manner. We felt we were staying at a friends home! Lake Seed is just beautiful and perfect for our boat. The kids had so much fun tubeing and water sking and we adults really enjoyed our evening cocktail cruises! The evenings were so clear and cool that we really enjoyed the hot tub too. We would recommend this home to anyone and can't wait for our next summer visit. Right now we are trying to arrange a Fall visit for the leaf color. We can't wait to come back!!

Had a great weekend stay at this home. Flowing stream out back provided hours of play for the kids. Also, good hiking/exploring opportunity on the property. A swim dock and boat house with good swim area were real attractions for the whole family. Cottage is cozy and what you may be looking for in a mountain get a way.
