This luxurious, waterfront, western themed 3 bedroom, 2 bath, bunk room, one level home has everything the lake vacationer desires. An open floor plan with breath taking lake-views from almost every room.. The master is expansive with unique log king bed and lake view. Custom and massive log bunk-bed room with 2, twin over queen bunks. Second bedroom with unique wrought iron queen bed. Third bedroom has quaint trundle bed.
The gourmet kitchen has all granite counters and eat-in kitchen island. A formal dining table seats 8 and a drop leaf table seats an additional 4 people. There is a large flat screen TV in the living room with two leather mission-style recliners, a sofa-bed and floor to ceiling lake views.
The back deck has a great lake-views and gas BBQ. Just at the bluff is a patio then walk to lakeside deck and on to the dock. Great parking and easy to find location!
Why we chose this home: Life on Lake Travis is great! We bought this home as a week-ender and loved it so much we lived there permanently until we built a new home on the same arm of Lake Travis. You can not beat the Sandy Creek Arm of the lake for location.
Unique Features The Travis Lake House: One unique feature is a boat dock for your use and you can swim at the dock (given lake levels). This area is a no wale zone so it is peaceful. Party on the deck just above the dock and enjoy beautiful peach and gold lake sunsets with great blue herons on the shoreline and bass fish jumping in the lake. Evenings are pleasant since the back of the home faces east and will not be too hot in the summer. The BBQ on the back deck and ample patio furniture allows dinners to enjoy eating al fresco. Lay on the chaise while sipping wine or margaritas and watch the boats come in for the evening.
Great waterfront: Breathtaking views from home and decks.
Marinas very close by with boat rentals, gas and convenience stores.

We had a bachelor party weekend here, and upon our arrival, this house was more than pictures can justify. It was an excellent location with a large backyard area overlooking one of the fingers of the lake. It was very clean and the hosts were very nice and helpful, before, during and after our stay. 360 degree service. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking to get away, have a wonderful view, and lots of open space. Thank you Gary and Margo.Did you find this review helpful? Staying at the Lake Travis House was a rewarding experience for my family and I.Everything was as described on the web site and in immaculate order.Since most of the time there was spent preparing for a wedding event, the fact that the lake level was low was of little importance to us.Gary gave us a tour of the house explaining as we went along. My brother and nieces are already planning a family get together for next year. This is indeed a "Home Away From Home" but better since we didn't have to do windows. Thank you Gary & Margo.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We had a wonderful time in Austin. The house is beautiful and plenty of space. The only downside was that lake was dry but we knew that going in. We were just looking for a relaxing weekend and that's exactly what we got. Gary and Margo were very flexible. They responded to all our inquiries immediately and gave us a late checkout on Sunday which we appreciated a lot. I would definitely stay here in the future.Did you find this review helpful? Our family was in Austin for my niece's wedding at Villa Antonia. My son & wife & 4 kids came from CA, my daughter's family is from NJ as are my husband & I. The Lake Travis house was perfect for us. The home is beautifully decorated, warm, welcoming, clean & well maintained. It is laid out in such a way, that our party of 6 adults & 6 kids were very comfortable. The owners supplied many things to make our stay comfortable & explained the house & the area. The house & the grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed staying at the Lake Travis House very much and would recommend it to anyone.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Margo and Gary's place is very well maintained and in a great location. Me and 10 guys took a long weekend away from the wives and girlfriends and enjoyed every minute of it. Not only was the house great but Margo and Gary were extremely helpful with finding restaurants and places to rent boats. We hope to come back again! PatrickDid you find this review helpful? We wanted a place to celebrate my in-laws birthdays, and this was ideal. The ease and organization of the reservation process made me wish other properties did it the same way. Directions, what to expect, suggested restaurants, etc. were all appreciated. We loved the street name, Easy Street - we'd been looking for that for many years, and it was a great description of the home's conveniences. My wife arrived early and set-up decorations for the birthday kids (both in their 80's), while we trailered the boat. Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner who gave us launch directions. We launched the boat and drove it to the boat dock just below the house. Lake Travis is low, but still very enjoyable; we were on it all 4 days. An awesome dinner of salmon and shrimp was prepared and enjoyed on the deck overlooking the Sandy Creek arm of Lake Travis. What a great way to start a relaxing 3 night stay. Later, I enjoyed the outdoor tropical shower and it's fun lighting. I've always enjoyed outdoor showers, and this is a great one! Later, we watched some of the Olympics on the large Flat Screen TV. The next morning we hit the lake in the boat for cruising and swimming; there are plenty of nice coves on the lake to pull into. That night, on the owner's suggestion, we went to Surf & Turf in Cedar Park - nothing fancy, but we loved it, from Shiner bock and raw oysters to soft shell crab. Great food! The third day was more lake time for the guys, and shopping for the gals. Everyone was pleased with their catch. Dinner was again on the grill on the deck, with Tenderloin and bacon wrapped shrimp. This house was great for us, as we like to cook, both indoors and out. Everything was equipped that we needed, and then some. We got the rest we needed, and enjoyed the time we had with the owners. They go out of their way to make it a quality destination.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Loved the house. Had everything a person would need. The layout of the house was really nice. Very impressed with the owner's customer service. The property was so clean and well maintained. It's not far from restaurants, shopping & the marina's. I would definately rent it again. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a great confortable place to stay. The only reason I rated my stay as 4 stars is because the lake was so low. Other than that, 5 stars!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
