The ladies loved The Glass House! Superb amenities, lovely decor. Comfortable beds and soft linens. Quiet, peaceful surroundings. The back deck was perfect for our Yoga session. A huge plus was the General Store nearby for items that we forget, very reasonably priced. Nearby attractions were an added bonus with hiking in Old Man's Cave and zip-lining! The ladies and I would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful and unique house.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We thank Reagan's Reach non-profit organization for lodging with us at Beagle Hill Lodge and The Glass House! We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay, and got such great March weather as to be able to do yoga on our deck! We hope to meet your lodging needs again next year for your next mini-conference!

We stayed at The Glass House for a working girl's get-away and it was more than we ever could've imagined. The place is BEAUTIFUL! It was clean, comfortable & wonderfully stocked with everything we needed. We all fell in love with the massage chairs!!! The koi pond is absolutely delightful and the sound of the water feature is very relaxing. Our stay was in the winter so we really didn't venture out into the cold but it didn't matter; we were looking for relaxation and this was the perfect place. It was such a memorable experience we decided to make it an annual trip!Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family and I stayed at the glass house the weekend before Christmas. It was the perfect place for our holiday celebration! The house was beautiful, clean and had excellent facilities. It had a wonderful outdoor area. We enjoyed roasting hot dogs and marshmallows in the outdoor fire pit. Also, the owners had excellent customer service. We would definitely recommend this place to others for a fun and relaxing getaway.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We are very thankful for the opportunity to stay at the Glass House. It truly is an amazing place. We have older kids now, 16, 20 and 22 and they were thrilled with this luxurious house! We enjoyed the hiking at Old Man's Cave, Conkle's Hollow, the moonlight tour at Ash Cave, canoeing down Hocking Hills river, the train ride to Nelsonville, and the peaceful, relaxing house! We cooked almost all of our meals there and enjoyed the bonfires, hot tub and massage chairs. The fish pond kept the tranquility of the home and we slept better because of it. Thank you all who made this possible - we will definatley be back!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a great time this past weekend. The house was beautiful! Just enough room for everyone and plenty to explore outside and around the cabin. The wildflowers were gorgeous! There were plenty of towels and kitchen items. A few more towel hooks would be helpful, but that did not impact our stay at all! I will say that it was thankful that the coy pond sound was turned down at night, but it was still a liitle loud for those in the loft and on the pull out mattress. Again, not enough to ruin the stay, but did cause sleep to need adjusting a little. We used Chef Mary from Flutes and Peppercorns. Her service was great - she was exactly on time with piping hot and DELICIOUS food! Using her services was WAY more reasonable than going out to eat - especially if you have a group and want to enjoy the house and the scenery. We were tired from the day's activities and were very happy that we had arranged the dinner to be catered in! I will also say that we explored Hocking Peaks Adventure Park and the kids had a blast on the kid's rope/zip course. Thanks again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for the great review and we are so glad to hear you enjoyed the wildflower prairie in the back of the property! After a few years, it is good to see the fruits of all the planting labor are finally paying off with guest enjoyment! Flutes & Peppercorns is great! We also use them occasionally for special events and everyone has always commented positively about the catered food for the price. As far as the indoor pond, it is a high tech reverse osmosis system that must run 12 hours per day in order for the fish to be healthy. It is on from 10A-10P each day only and shuts down 12 hours every night. We apologize if it interferes with earlier bed times or possibly day time naps. The water sound is typically soothing during the day, especially if you are using the zero-gravity massage chairs as the architect intended (water soothing sound in pond while getting full body massage). Please remember we have 5% repeat customer discounts and would be glad to have your family again.

Where do I begin... The property owner, Darla was outstanding. I contacted her for a last minute mid week rental. She was nice enough to give me a generous discount. When we walked inside we were blown away. The entire house is new, modern, eco-friendly and decorated in the finest, and unique appointments. Everything was perfect, the hot tub was excellent. The fire pit and grills are where we spent our evenings. They had a well equipped kitchen that included spices and lots and lots of dishes and glassware. The fireplace was lovely... You can't beat the location. Literally a minute from the general store. So convenience for hot dogs, ice cream, beer/wine, pretty much everything you might need. Old Man's cave, which is beautiful, is just down the road. Logan, is only about 10 minutes away. Will I be back? Oh heck yeah. This little mini vacation was one of the best ever.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at the Glass House last weekend and had the BEST time! We arrived and walked in the house to see the beautiful koi pond! The house was breathtaking! We had 2 families and all fit comfortably. The house is beautifully decorated and has everything one might need. The husbands were even able to watch the OSU basketball game on the DirectTV - phew! Between the hot tub and the massage chairs, relaxation came easy! The view of the property is amazing. You can sit on the wrap-around porch and watch the kids play in the woods and explore the property. At night, there's a firepit with 2 picnic tables. The kids loved making smores and telling ghost stories around the campfire. When the temperature dropped at night, we loved sitting in the hot tub on the porch overlooking the property. The kitchen has everything you need, if you decide eat in. During the day, we went to Old Man's Cave and hiked, just up the road. We grabbed sandwiches at the general store at the bottom of the hill (great deli that has pizza too!). If you forget anything, they have a little of everything but note it closes early (maybe 6pm?). The location is great for other activities like horseback riding, zip lining, ATV rentals and several nearby restaurants.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are very happy to hear the adults and children in your group enjoyed your stay at our Glass House. March is a great time to visit Hocking Hills and we're glad you found the little pizza / sub shop at the end of the driveway and Old Mans Cave a short 2 minute drive. We hope you think us lodging with us again if you return to the area!

My family & I were guests at The Glass House this past weekend. We had no idea what to expect & were completely blown away with the design, cleanliness, amenities & eco-friendliness of the resort style home. From the moment we entered the foyer with the bamboo floors, koi pond with fountain, the high ceilings with floor to ceiling windows, the massage chairs & the abundant natural lighting & warmth, we knew we were in for a luxurious, yet relaxing experience. The well-equipped home, with an eco-modern design, made you feel like you were living amongst nature. The highlight of this luxurious home was the living room with incredible, breathtaking views of the property & wildlife. Each bedroom, with its beautiful design & decor, provided a little retreat for the spirit while the oversized bathrooms, with large showers, were both incredibly relaxing & rejuvenating! The owners & property managers were very easy to work with and had a genuine interest in exceeding our expectations. We truly felt as though we were welcomed guests in their home. We were blessed to find such a unique home in Hocking Hills, would recommend it to anyone looking for an incredible, out-of-the-ordinary experience & look forward to many return visits.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are really glad you enjoyed your February stay! The winter has been very mild this year. Making it easier to get around, yet same beautiful views. Hope to have your group lodge with us again. Remember to call for 5% returning guests discount!

A group of nine of us stayed the first weekend in November recently and LOVED the Glass House! The house was VERY clean, well stocked, exactly as the description states and really is just perfect for a group of friends or couples/families. It is very open - so if there are varying times people go to bed or early risers vs. late mornings - that MAY be tricky- just all depends on the group. We had no problem and LOVED the "open room" feeling. The deck is very spacious and the jacuzzi was well kept and fun. The only thing we kinda missed was a gas grill vs the small regualr grill by the fire - but we made do (to be fair- the Glass House said it didn't come with a gas grill). Overall- we highy recommend this place to enjoy the scenery and "pretend" you're camping:).Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This home is in a really lovely area and with such tasteful decor. We immediately took to the massage chairs in the front room with the fish pond. This is such a different feature and had its pluses and minuses. The fountain with running water is very soothing and serene during the day, but if you are the ones sleeping in the open loft, the trickle of water during the night is a bit loud. It did not bother me as I slept in one of the rooms with a door. We took advantage of the catering services of Chef Mary with Flutes and Peppercorns and Blue Valley Massage. These are wonderful amenities that we are very glad we used. The kitchen has all that is needed to cook a gourmet meal, but Chef Mary did a better job than we could have!!! This house is located very centrally to a lot of the attractions and activities in the area which made it easy to find where we needed to go. The cleaning crew, though the home appeared clean, needs to pay a little more time to details. Overall we had a great time and I would return again someday. This is such a beautiful area with so many wonderful natural attractions and things to do.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are so glad to hear you really enjoyed your stay at the Glass House and want to return again. We would love to have you! The great news is we contacted the Aquarium Store and they came out and installed a timer for the water feature on the indoor fish pond to shut down from 10P-8A 7 nights a week! During those ten hours per night, there will not be any trickling of water in the pond so it now starts for guest enjoyment only during the hours of 8A-10P daily! We're glad you found our catering and in-home spa tips helpful and relaxing for your get-away! Thanks for your time in leaving a review! Sincerely, Darla Minamyer- Property Manager

I stayed with 5 friends for a weekend and it was absolutely the best in every way. The house is gorgeous beyond what I expected. We went on the Hocking Hills Canopy Tour (zip line), hiking at Old Man's Cave, Cedar Falls and Ash Cave, shopping at Rocky Boots in Nelsonville. The house was so relaxing, that we never even turned on the television. We did use the Directv for music, which added to the relaxing atmosphere. Loved the indoor water feature and the fish, really enjoyed the massage chairs and made our own meals in the well equipped Kitchen. We felt like we were in heaven and hated for the weekend to be over. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are fabulous, and everything is sparkling clean and beautiful. I highly recommend The Glass House and hope to go back soon.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Simply an amazing place to spend the weekend. Every possible convenience is included in the house. The setting is breath taking. Everyone returned home relaxed and renewed. We plan to do this again next year. Our only complaint - the fish pond gets to be a bit noisy for those sleeping in the loft.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

The Glass House is the perfect location for the perfect get-a-way to Hocking Hills. It's modern style and amazing features make it the perfect place to stay. During our stay we spent great time togehter on the large deck enjoying the scenery. In the evening we utilized the well kept and large hot tub. If some relaxing is on your agenda while in Hocking Hills, then you'll love the serenity room. This room/the front entrance includes an indoor coy pond, water feature, and two incredilbe massage chairs. The house comfortably sleeps 8. (10 is doable, but pushing it) The bedrooms were very comfy and the showers were huge! The biggest showers I've ever seen!! We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay at the Glass House and would love to return to this or another of the FourSeasonHideaway's properties!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The Glass House is such a luxiourious place and we felt thoroughly pampered! Walking through the front door and into the Serenity Room was only the beginning of the peace and serenity we experienced all weekend. The location is secluded and picturesque with the view overlooking the bare trees on the wooded lot. The wall of windows is stunning but especially beautiful in the evening. The furniture is "good-to-the-eyes" and very comforable at the same time! The kitchen was a delightful place to create something to eat with the copper sink, the concrete countertops, and the deluxe gas range. The bamboo woodwork, cabinets, and flooring are spectacular. All the bedrooms are lovely. We chose the Master Bedroom and slept soundly on the excellent mattress. The first floor bath is so modern with the concrete countertops and vessel sinks. The huge shower was exhilarating! The sound system and television were top quality and entertaining to all of us. We also benefitted from the massage chairs on numerous occasions! Thank you!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 7/7

My family just stayed the weekend at the Glass House, and I have to say, it is absolutely spectacular. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the outdoor fire pit area to the dishes in the kitchen, from the incredibly comfortable bedding, to the great smelling cleaning products! To say that the house and the property it sits on are beautiful is a massive understatement. The house is very close to the general store and Old Man's Cave, but feels isolated, as it sits on the top of a hill with no other lodging in site. We even found a perfect hill for the kids to sled on adjacent to the house! The house itself was sparkling clean, and offered every amenity imaginable. I just can't express what a good time we had, and how highly I recommend this amazing property.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are very glad you liked the property as much as we do! I'm not sure which hill you picked for sledding as there are so many on the land but it sounds like you found a good one for your kids to have fun on! Thank you for choosing the Glass House for your December family weekend get-away! That's the great thing about Hocking Hills- it's hard to decide which of the 4 Seasons is best to come! They are all spectacular and great for different reasons! Enjoy your Christmas Holidays and we hope to have you as our guest again in the future. Darla- Glass House Property Manager

Our ladies church group stayed at The Glass House this October. Our long weekend was a truly relaxing experience. The home is so nicely furnished and has so many beautiful wall hangings, tasteful decorations. We enjoyed having a local yoga instructor come to the house for a session and also a massage company. They were also impressed and said it was the most beautiful property they have ever seen in the region. The deck views were spectacular and we absolutely loved the indoor fish pond. It was such a beautiful and peaceful setting, we really hated to leave. The home was very clean upon our arrival and we appreciated the welcome book with area history and information, as well as the flyers giving us information about all the places to enjoy on day excursions.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
