  Mountaintop Getaway suited us perfectly. It had every amenity we needed: gas fireplaces, king bed, a stunning view and pet-friendly to boot.…the huge flat-screen TV was an added benefit. Best of all was the absolute privacy of the property.…but still within a convenient 15 minutes from town. The cabin sits on a large level lot where our dogs were able to romp around and we didn’t have to worry they’d fall off the face of the mountain! And it was clear enough to toss around the football (also supplied!). The interior was very rustic with rough sawn floors. Deer heads and various hides completed the cabin atmosphere. The furniture was very comfortable and we were very pleased with the cleanliness of the interior. Being extremely picky/particular, we were very hesitant to try a VRBO property. We were pleasantly surprised both with the service we received from Dave, the property owner, and the property itself. Dave was easily accessible by phone and the one small issue we had was fixed promptly (pilot light out in fp). We highly recommend MTG and will be back sooner rather than later.

  Dave: Just a note to tell you how much we enjoyed our 10 week stay at your cabin. You have really put together everything anyone would need while staying for an extended time. The views were increditable. Can't think of anything we would change. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!!!

  Had never rented using VRBO before but all inquiries and renting procedures were completed in a timely fashion and without any issues. Cabin was as described and photographed. We had a very enjoyable week long vacation and very much appreciated the ability to bring our new dog Shelby. The deck, hot tub and fire pit were very relaxing and the outdoor, multi-speaker stereo added a great effect if you like your music. The cabin is relatively secluded compared to most we have stayed at and gives you some nice privacy. Took a lot of pics of the views which were at times very beautiful. Had nothing really negative on this vacation, but will comment that you will need to find a local supplier of firewood if you want to burn a lot which we did. Thanks Dave for allowing us to enjoy your cabin!!

  My family and I had another great vacation at Mountaintop. We stayed in the cabin last August and knew we would return! We stayed six nights and were completely satisfied with everything about the cabin. We arrived to a very clean and stocked cabin. Dave is easy to work with - always nice to talk directly with the owner. We went tubing 3 days in a row - using Rolling Thunder to do so. Rolling Thunder is a family owned professional outfit. We enjoyed the entertainment the cabin offered - movies, games, hot tub, Wii - to name a few. The views are breathtaking and there are so many things to keep you busy or just hang out and relax. The fact that we are able to bring our dog Sandy is also a huge plus! Even though it is pet friendly, there are no traces of other pets having been there. We will return again! Thanks again Dave.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Mountaintop Getaway. The cabin is beautiful and the view is stunning. Everything was clean and as described in the profile. We especially enjoyed roasting marshmallows around the fire pit and spending time on the deck in the rocking chairs! Owner was very quick to respond to all email questions and very pleasant to deal with. Overall we had a wonderful weekend and would definitely like to stay here again.

  What a view! This is a perfect cabin on top of the mountain with total privacy! We loved spending our 2 year anniversary here and will definitely return to celebrate again. The home is well kept and clean and very easy to get to from Atlanta.

  We had a great time this weekend! Beautiful cabin with an amazing view of the mountains! Lots of space! We will definitely rent this cabin again...hopefully for longer next time!

  We had a great weekend getaway with some friends at the cabin! The deck with it's day views and night sky was amazing. The cabin had everything we needed and the layout was perfect for 3 couples. We enjoyed sitting by the fire, playing games and relaxing in the hot tub. We would definitely recommend this property. We wish we could have stayed longer.

  Loved the house – we do not want to leave. The weather was perfect and loved downtown Blue Ridge. The 5 of us “girls” even had a fire going in the pit. We never saw a bear, but were looking. We enjoyed the sitting on the porch, building a fire, the hot-tub, and relaxation. Thank you for letting us stay in your cabin!
