We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Mountaintop Getaway. The cabin is beautiful and the view is stunning. Everything was clean and as described in the profile. We especially enjoyed roasting marshmallows around the fire pit and spending time on the deck in the rocking chairs! Owner was very quick to respond to all email questions and very pleasant to deal with. Overall we had a wonderful weekend and would definitely like to stay here again.

What a view! This is a perfect cabin on top of the mountain with total privacy! We loved spending our 2 year anniversary here and will definitely return to celebrate again. The home is well kept and clean and very easy to get to from Atlanta.

We had a great weekend getaway with some friends at the cabin! The deck with it's day views and night sky was amazing. The cabin had everything we needed and the layout was perfect for 3 couples. We enjoyed sitting by the fire, playing games and relaxing in the hot tub. We would definitely recommend this property. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Anniversary Getaway Vacation in Blue Ridge, GA

Listing was 100% accurate, as described. Photos are just as the cabin is. Beds are comfortable. Property is clean, well maintained. Garbage Cans have a great cage so it is difficult for bears to dig into the garbage. Dave was awesome, he answered all my questions and was very helpful. I was nervous about this as it was our first time cabin'ing. I would absolutely recommend this cabin to friends and relatives. My husband and I will be back in a couple months as well. Loved Mountaintop Getaway, the woods, and how secluded it is. You can see cabins close by but far enough to make it private. ** Only thing I would recommend is to bring your own firewood and fire starter as the firewood in the area is too moist/wet to catch on fire. ** Nearby Activities Recommended: Mercier Orchards, Harvest on Main. Have fun and relax. Cheers!!!

This cabin is nothing short of spectacular! After several visits to N GA in the last six months, this cabin has the best mountain views BY FAR! The view from both the top and bottom decks is absolutely breathtaking! We cooked every night and never needed a thing-which is unusual for a rental-and a perk! The couches are super comfy and the fire place in the living room kicks off major heat (unexpected of a gas fireplace). The hot tub with the surrond sound was an absolute must every day! Although the poker table could use a few more screws to hold it up :)-that did not stop us from enjoying poker and dice (chips, cards and dice all supplied! ). Needless to say, we will be back-SOON! Thanks to Dave and Chris for being so accomidating and responsive!

Nice Cabin

The cabin was exactly as described and the photos show an accurate account of the property. We were pleased with the amenities. Cabin was very clean...which is a must. Chris was extremely helpful in the reservation process and responded to all inquiries prior to arrival at the property. The directions were not very accurate, the internet access and the outdoor gas fireplace did not work while we were there. There were no starter soaps for the baths, only liquid hand soap. We attempted to contact Chris Friday evening and again twice on Saturday. He did not call back until 7:30 Saturday evening at which time he stated that it may be the following day before he got back to us about the internet access. One member of our party is on call 24/7 and requires internet access. He was contacted by his company while there and was unable to help. It is now Tuesday and we are back home and have heard nothing from him. Probably will not return.

Owner response:Frankly, we could have done better with Diane’s stay. In response to the feedback, I implemented the following changes: * Installed soap/shampoo dispensers in each of the three showers * Am having the cleaning/maintenance personnel test the gas fireplaces before each stay and Derek (owner of cleaning company) is providing his phone number at the cabin if any issues arise. He lives 10 minutes away and will be glad to assist guests with any problems. * I do not want to make excuses, but Chris (who helps me manage the property since I travel a lot for my job) did not have his cell phone charged on Friday evening/Saturday when Diane tried to call. * The internet access issue is a tough one. I cannot guarantee access from the provider (TDS) and the cabin is in a mountainous area. I did call TDS and had them provide instructions for how to test the internet connection by pinging the IP address. I’m going to continue to monitor the wifi service. Overall, the internet access has been very dependable in the past. I personally followed up with Diane and offered a complementary weekend at the cabin if she would like to come back. She indicated they only go once a year (in January) and appreciated the gesture. I do try to set very high standards and want every guest to have an enjoyable stay – hopefully, this is reflective in the culmination of all the guest feedback. Cheers, Dave (owner – MTG)

Dave, we appreciated all of the little details and touches you’ve lovingly selected for this cabin. We loved having a stocked kitchen full of dishes, leaving w/clean clothes (deluxe W/D), and sending our kiddos downstairs with the unlimited electronic entertainment. The furniture was really comfortable and loved the extended bathroom.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at the cabin. Since our visit last year, there have been some improvements and additions that made the experience even better than before. Love the new comfortable couches and chair in the den! The fall leaves and the weather were perfect. It's a great time of year to visit (no bugs). We loved sitting on the deck wrapped in blankets in the morning to watch the fog rise up with the sun. In the evening, it was really cozy in the den watching the sun go down while sipping some wine in front of the fireplace. Very convenient that it's a gas fireplace so we didn't have to haul in logs and keep it stoked. The kitchen and game room are well stocked with everything you need. Our dog Harley loves the place and would ditch us in a heartbeat to live there year round. Thanks for the great weekend and we look forward to coming back.

Loved the house – we do not want to leave. The weather was perfect and loved downtown Blue Ridge. The 5 of us “girls” even had a fire going in the pit. We never saw a bear, but were looking. We enjoyed the sitting on the porch, building a fire, the hot-tub, and relaxation. Thank you for letting us stay in your cabin!

My husband and I wanted to get away from the city and enjoy some quiet time with the kids. We had a blast tubing, sightseeing, and enjoying the many amenities that the cabin offered. The kids loved the arcade games, hot tub, Wii, fire pit (where we roasted marshmallows & made s'mores),and playing with the outdoor frogs and bugs! My husband and I enjoyed the beautiful view sitting on the main deck. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

This was our first time in this cabin, and we wll be back for sure! The cabin was everything described and more. We loved the private location, and the view was breathtaking. We also appreciate that the owner allows pets. The arrangements were made without a hitch, and everyone was very nice. All in all, a great 8 days that we really enjoyed from the beginning to end.

My husband and I stayed in this cabin for 10 nights in February and can't wait to make our next booking. This property offers everything you see in writing and so much more. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and the views are out of this world. All of the pictures that are posted are exactly what it looks like. Very easy to find and the town of Blue Ridge has so much to offer. Make sure you check out downtown Blue Ridge..tons of shopping, great food, lots of activities and everyone was very helpful & friendly. We can't say enough about this cabin or how easy it was to book this cabin. We would highly recommend this to anyone!!!!

This is a perfect getaway. The cabin is beautiful, modern and very clean with wonderful huge windows showcasing the magnificent view. We enjoyed spending time on the screened porch and on the huge deck. The hot tub was an added bonus and the movies and games kept us entertained at night after a full day of hiking and exploring. Everything we needed was provided. We loved our weekend here and can't wait to come again. Our dog had a blast and wonders why we can't live here full time.

The cabin and the view are gorgeous. The cabin is large and has everything you could ever need or want. There are enough amenities to keep adults and children occupied and entertained. There is a vast movie selection, large televisions, a Wii, a Galaga/Ms. Pacman machine, games, books, fireplaces, an awesome outdoor pit fire area, jacuzzi, hammock, outdoor deck and screened in deck. The views are fantastic. We cooked every night and ate at the beautiful dining room table. The interior is very well decorated and intelligently designed. My dog loved the place. You will be very happy with this location. I recommend it without reservation and would return anytime.

The registration process was simple and the owners were so polite and easy to work with. We enjoyed the accommodations and especially the view! We drove up from Atlanta to get away from the hustle and bustle for a few days. There was a beautiful fresh layer of snow on the ground and a perfect 50 degrees. During the day we relaxed played board games and drank bloody mary’s. At night we had great meals, soaked in the hot tub and had a bon fire and made smores. This was just the perfect environment for what we needed. We will recommend this place to all our friends and family. Thank you

Comment from Guestbook...What a beautiful home! Well worth the 18 hours it took to drive from Des Moines, Iowa. We have enjoyed our week here very much – it was a much needed vacation for us all. We enjoyed all of our activities including: whitewater rafting, hiking the Appalachian Trail, shopping in Blue Ridge, seeing the double feature at the Swan drive-in movie theater, and horseback riding. We also loved all the time in the cabin: lounging in the hot-tub, watching movies, playing cards, spending time by the fire, roasting marshmallows, and enjoying the peace and quiet!We thank you for sharing your home with us. Comments from Guestbook...This is our first stay in the Georgia mountains with our friends and we absolutely loved the accommodations – not a thing that we needed was missing from this lovely cabin. It was just the right amount of space for two families to spread out in, and for the kids to enjoy their first vacation together. The furnishings are so comfortable and just what we would have if we were so lucky to live in a cabin.We visited the Annicola Falls, rode the scenic railroad, grilled out, visited the parks, played games downstairs, and enjoyed views from the decks and hot-tub. We wanted to have a brief family reunion that was way over dew. The weather was 45 degrees and beautiful when we arrived. There were so many fun things to do including the apple orchards a must see. We played 18 holes at White Path Golf course and sat around playing board games and catching up with one another. This place is amazing with every accommodation you could imagine. The attention to detail was very impressive. Very rustic and inviting and the view was breath taking. We wished we could have stayed longer and do plan on returning.

We really needed to get away and this was the perfect place. Well worth the 6 hour drive up from Florida. The weather was sunny, beautiful and cool. We drove up from Florida to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and arrived to snow covered wonderland. We went to Ruby Falls, De Sote Falls and Annicola Falls and were not disappointed with any. We had snowball fights, grilled out and enjoyed sunsets and the spectacular view. This will be a anniversary near and dear to our hearts to cherish forever.
