Cabin with an Awesome View and Close to Ski Run Road

The view at this cabin is spectacular and possibly one of the best around. Relaxing on the deck and looking out at the beauty of Sierra Blanca and the pines is awesome and can hardly be matched. You are also able to enjoy the picturesque view from the indoors, through the floor to ceiling windows.
The cabin is roomy, has a very pleasant and open floor plan (it even has large bedrooms) and still has a cozy feel.
Lower level is living room, kitchen, full bathroom, and master bedroom. 2nd level has 2 large bedrooms (one room has a king bed, other room has a queen and a full bed), large full bathroom, and a gameroom with a pool table and 2 twin beds. There is access to the deck from the master bedroom, and access to an upper deck from the gameroom.
The combination of the openness, the convenient location, and the spectacular view make this cabin a very desirable rental. You are sure to love it!

We planned our first multi-family vacation in Ruidoso, and were drawn to the cabin amenities (number of rooms/beds, location, game room). We were pleasantly surprised by the comfy feeling you get as soon as you walk in the door. The pictures are accurate, but do not give you a real sense of the layout of the cabin. The main floor has an open concept design, which allows for conversations over the breakfast bar between people in the living room and the kitchen. The cabin is small enough that everyone has an opportunity to visit together, but also large enough for people to spend time apart. The deer visited our first afternoon, and we enjoyed watching them from the large porch during our stay. Everyone had a great time skiing and snowboarding, thanks to a Pacific Storm that blew in the day before we arrived (fresh powder, yay!). The cabin is conveniently located across the road from a snow sports rental shop, which makes pick-up and drop-off very easy. We are hoping to return during the summer to enjoy area hiking, and possibly find the petroglyphs we read about in the guestbook. Annette and Randy are great hosts, and we hope to visit again soon!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I cannot remember a time when our family had as wonderful experience as this excursion to Ruidoso. The property met our needs beyond expectations. Our stay was over the Thanksgiving weekend 2011. The accommodations were impeccable. Much better than we could have ever hoped for. Most of my contact was with Annette and our contact was a pleasure. We left the property in better condition than when we came in and there was never any question of damage deposit-it was forwarded immediately without question. What a great way of doing business. We stayed with myself, my wife, daughter and son-in-law and their 2 girls 3 & 1 years old as well as my "baby of 26 years old. Property and amenities were much more than I could have ever anticipated-from supplied items in the property to multiple deer grazing outside our bedroom window each morning-what an unexpected bonus for all. I am sold on this property as well as VRBO ,listings for future vacation opportunities. I will definately look here 1st before I go to Expedia or any of the other property listing groups for accommodations. What a pleasure to do business with professionals and save $$$ at the same time. Thank you Annette and Randy for your extreme hospitality as well as VRBO for your innovative approach to excellence in vacationing. We will be back, as well as recommending your services to family, friends and acquaintances. Very Pleased Customer, God bless you all, Available for references any time-email on request if applicable, Prospective clients-have no concerns as to this experience-----Enjoy. What a fun place to enjoy-Ruidoso, New Mexico!!!! Jim & Kathi Tate-Albuquerque, New MexicoRecommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

It was amazing to go from 100 degF in Carrirzozo to 60 degF in Ruidoso. Of course it started raining as we went up hill, which helped a lot. They say you need a view of Sierra Blanco if you are staying in Ruidoso. Well this cabin has it! There is a great view from the deck, living area, and borrowed view from the dining and kitchen, as well as the Master suite. The upper level has the same great view from the upper deck and game room. The kids loved playing and sleeping in the game room. The kitchen had everything we needed, including condiments and coffee, etc. There were plenty of deer to see from the deck and they didn't seem at all bothered by our presence. The kids enjoying riding the go carts in town the most. I enjoyed touring and photographing the Spencer Theatre. What a great icon of modern architecture. We didn't get to visit all the art galleries that we wanted to see, but the ones we did get to were awesome.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This house certainly has the most amazing views not only from the front porch but from the living room, bedroom and the game room. The views will not disappoint! The kitchen is spacious and the refrigerator is stocked with your basic condiments. We used the barbecue pit and it was very nice that charcoal and charcoal lighter were available at the house. Annette was very prompt in responding to my initial inquiry. Very easy to contact her through email or phone. Ruidoso is not only a great winter destination but summertime is pretty awesome. The weather was perfect. Great place to escape the South Texas heat! This home is set on the side of a mountain in a sea of pine tress. It is absolutely breath taking!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I have two daughters, one of whom goes away to college and so it has become a challenge to find time together as a family. Not only were we looking for a place where we could relax, but also one that had things to offer that all of us would enjoy. This cabin was absolutely the perfect fit! It was very private and the view was amazing....we found ourselves in the mornings and evenings sitting on the deck watching the sunset, eagles, hummingbirds and deer. During the day there were many activities to choose from, but our favorites were hiking and horseback riding in the beautiful mountains. We were all sad when it was time to leave and are hoping that our schedule will allow us to return to the same cabin, view, and wonderful time spent together as a family.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The wildlife, the game room, the view of the mountains and the location were all great. It was easy to find via the directions given. The cabin met all expectations and then some. We had everything we needed. We found everything clean, well stocked and very easy to enjoy. The owner was very helpful and very easy to work with. I would like to return during the spring or summer months. I would recommend this cabin to anyone and everyone looking for an awesome vacation cabin. It was very nice to find a place that accommodated so many and comfortably so. Thank you for sharing your "home away from home". We loved it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this cabin. It was so relaxing and beautiful. We were lucky it had snowed just a few days before. The view is like none other. It is just breath taking to wake up in the morning and look out the windows. We were not able to cook out on the deck because of the weather but did enjoy the great restaurants and shopping.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/3

Hanging out on the deck and grilling was relaxing and enjoyable...we were lucky to have great weather for a day and then when it turned out cold the fireplace made it so cozy. We recently enjoyed a four night stay at this house. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a large, clean and cozy home with an outstanding view. The owners were great to work with and very attentive - even to questions that came up during our stay. We had a group with 5 adults and 4 kids (ages 15 months - 8 years). The floorplan of this house was great for such a mixed group. My only suggestion would be to check the weather and be prepared with 4x4 or chains if you plan on renting this home. The road in and out can get difficult in adverse weather. Overall, I would definitely recommend this home and its owners and I look forward to my next stay.Did you find this review helpful? About the owner: This cabin has been in our family for over 24 years. My husband and I have just recently taken over ownership from my parents. My 3 brothers who have a construction business in Lubbock built the cabin. Family and friends have enjoyed the cabin for many years and we wanted it to remain in the family. We live in central Texas and are not able to go as often as we would like to, so we wanted others to be able to enjoy staying there also. We enjoyed our trips to the cabin so much that we always hated to leave!
Why the Owner Chose Ruidoso:
We always enjoyed coming to Ruidoso because of its spectacular beauty! We enjoyed going snow skiing, golfing, the horse races, and just simply being in the mountains.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
I can't say enough about the spectacular view!
