Renters comment: 'the pictures don't do justice to the house!'
This uniquely private, 2500 sq. ft., on-the-river location is close to downtown Bend and the Old Mill District, adjacent to a new park and just a short distance to shops, breweries, bakeries, coffee shops, restaurants, groceries and outdoor stores (ski, kayak, canoe rentals as well as rafting trip outfitters) and 3 parks.
You can watch the river from the living room, dining room and kitchen or sit on the riverside deck which runs the entire length of the house - outside the downstairs master, kitchen, dining and living room. Wood is provided for the living room rock fireplace. Two of the upstairs bedrooms have a riverside balcony. The downstairs master (studio size) has an electric wood stove, large couch, dining table, kitchen area and private bath and TV viewing. The deckside doors open to the hot tub.
Tables on the deck easily seat 8 people for alfresco dining/BBQ - more seating is available on-site. The private dock is a lovely spot for launching kayaks, canoes and inner tubes or just relaxing next to the water. The small sandy beach is relaxing for sunbathers or castle-builders.
The kitchen is well supplied with spices, cooking utensils, popcorn maker, food processor, crock pot, etc. If you have special cooking needs, be sure to ask what is at the house.
The recreation possibilities are numerous. The Deschutes River Trail, where one can walk for miles, goes by the house. Mt. Bachelor and adjacent recreation areas are 20-30 min. away. In the winter, it's a 10 min. walk to the Mt. Bachelor shuttle. Golf courses are within 15 - 30 min.

About the owner: I am an avid snowboarder, musician and outdoor enthusiast whether it is walking, hiking, photography, gardening, kayaking or just taking a little time to enjoy the beauty of Central Oregon. Everyday I am still amazed at the friendliness of Bend's community, the climate, the restaurants, the variety of landscapes, the local athletic events and the multitude of cultural/musical opportunities - sometimes there are just too many to choose from!
Why the Owner Chose Bend: Many riverfront properties lack privacy but this uniquely situated home is easy to get to, easy to get to things you want to do and a beautiful, private setting to come home to.
The Unique Benefits at this House: The river is sooooo close - the sandy beach is a bonus. The deck running the length of the house, is a special place to enjoy the river.
