Great place, nice house, well equiped. We spent an excellent New Years Eve. House' heater excellent. All the family had great time on the snow sleds there were at the place. Hoping to go back soon and have some more rest at that wonderful cozy house.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Eden is 4. We all picked our beds and then came her first concern. "Where is Mr. Tom going to sleep?" She never quiet understood why we were staying in Mr. Tom's house and he wasn't. Despite her concern, the rest of us thought it was perfect. If it was a bit more than some of our other VRBO choices, the difference was more than made up for by the garage. We wheeled into the snow each day in a warm Jeep without shoveling snow off the windows. Spending my life on the Texas coast left me fascinated and impressed with radiant floor heating only previously experienced through HGTV. My daughter and son in law claimed the master bedroom with the view of the snow covered golf course through huge icicles hanging from the roof to the handrail of the upstairs deck. Eden and her brother were introduced to their first snow experience while sledding down the gently slopped driveway on Mr. Tom's sleds. They soon graduated to ice skating in town and skiing on the bunny slopes at Ski Cloudcroft. My wife and I enjoyed the comfort of the home (Direct TV for me, birdseed and a patio door for her) after the grueling work of grandparenting. Six family members, ten hours, one Jeep Commander, I wondered if anyplace could possibly be worth this kind of trip. Tom's place was.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Pictures (and words) fall short in conveying how beautiful the location of Tree Bears is and how wonderful the accommodations were for our stay. Views overlooking the golf course and the pine trees with all the wildlife were stunning. The condo is clean, spacious, and nicely decorated to make you feel like you're staying at a good friend's house. We had one of the most relaxing vacations we've ever experienced in our 20+ years of marriage. Tom and Barbara were so easy to work with. We highly recommend it to others!! Golf, meals, and massages at The Lodge were great, too!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had the good fortune of spending 3 months at Tree Bears. Tom and Barbara's place was like a dream getaway, with one of the most beautiful views we have ever seen. It was impecably clean and very spacious. In addition to being very nice people, Tom and Barbara were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible! We cannot wait for our next stay!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
