You'll feel at home the minute you walk into this comfortable house starting with a combined kitchen/living room with a wood burning stove, two generous bedrooms and a full bath. The master bedroom offers a queen bed and the second bedroom has two double beds. On the lower level you'll find another family room, a twin bed and full bath. A double size inflatable bed is available if needed.
Close to everything, from this location you can enjoy many popular Wisconsin amenities; historic Baraboo featuring the Circus World Museum, Devils Lake State Park, Wollersheim Winery, hiking, the Madison area, The House on the Rock, the indoor water park mecca Wisconsin Dells or if gaming is your thing the Ho Chunk Casino awaits.
Tucked among the pine trees with a view of Lake Wisconsin, the house features a wrap around deck with an outdoor dining space, (seasonal), complete with a gas grill and a fantastic view of the bright Wisconsin stars. Two parking spots are available.
For winter visits, you're only a five minute drive to Devil's Head, the Midwest's best downhill ski resort with Cascade just twenty minutes away.

We wanted quick getaway after Christmas and the house was great! Fit our family of 5 (2 20 somethings and a teen) perfectly. Very close to Devil's Head for skiing and some nice restaurants. House had everything we needed and was very clean! Will definitely keep in mind in the future--there is great Lake view and access as well.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

This house exceeded our expectations. IWe were looking for a quiet place to stay, and didn't want to feel crowded in a Dells hotel or pay the price. You get your moneys worth when renting this house, there is plenty of space, easy to get to (Wisconsin roads are great), and close to major attractions. Taking the Merrimac ferry to get there was cool. The property is quiet and you can see stars since it is away from larger cities. I would recommend this house to anyone. This was my first experience with VRBO and it was great. They were really good to work with, reserving and paying was easy. We would stay here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

This is a very well-kept home in a quiet area just a stone's throw from Lake Wisconsin. I stayed here, w/ my son & sister, for four days in July. The home is nicely shaded w/ trees, and despite the fact that the weather was sunny & hot during the day, the shading from the trees and the proximity to Lake Wisconsin helped keep the house cool and we were very comfortable. The house is well-equipped and comfortable, and everything is in good working order. As another reviewer has stated, the exterior view doesn't quite convey the size, the interior is quite roomy and the finished walkout basement provides additional room for children to spread out and play. It's easy to get to locations such as Madison (25 mins via 113/Merrimac ferry), Devils Head (<10 mins), Baraboo (Circus World Museum & Devils Lake) (15 mins), and Wisconsin Dells (25 mins). Carrie is reliable, responsive, and easy to deal with. We were very glad that we chose this accomodation rather than staying in the overcrowded Dells - this is a great location to relax in the evening, enjoy peace & quiet, and get away from it all. I'd highly recommend it to anyone else looking for a similar getaway.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

The house was great! In fact, it exceeded our expectations and was even bigger than it looked on the website (it includes a basement which is quite large!) We rented the house for 4 days, first week of February. It's a quiet street. Everything was perfect (clean and warm). It was nice to talk with the owner. They sent me all the instruction and it was easy to get there. The house is 5-6 min driving to Devil's Head Resort. I will consider referring this house to other friends or rent it again. A reservation/damage deposit is required to secure the rental and is payable upon the rental agreement. This is non-refundable if cancelled within 7 days of arrival and the dates cannot be re-booked.
