We really enjoyed the stay at this condo. It's decorated very lovely and it's clean. We found it well equipped. Especially the kitchen stuff was like new. The photos made by the owner are exactly what you get. The view ist breathtaking. This was our 7th visit to Oahu and we already made experiences with some different condos. But now we know our next stay will be here again, at Garys condo. And I will definitaly recomend this condo in my travelforum. I recommend the sundaybrunch at Halekulani. But you need a reservation at least 3-4weeks in advance. We loved the sunsettrip with Mai-Tai-Catamaran too. If you rented a car take the time and drive the Tantalusdrive. A spectacular view of HNL awaits you... Or explore the westcoast of Oahu. There are a lot of wonderfull beaches. We loved the Electric Beach or Yokohama Beach. Here starts a great hike to the westernmost point Kaena Point. For the first time we visited the Farmers Market near the Diamond Head. We recommend to go there before breakfast ;) Not far from here is the Makapu'u Lighthouse and you can enjoy a gorgeous view to Kane'ohe Bay or at the best weather conditions you'll see the other Islands of Hawaii. The best noodle soup (in our opinion) you will get at Goma Tei Ramen at the Ward Center. They are very friendly . We love to buy fruits and vegetable in Chinatown. Its cheap and ripe. At Kapahulu Ave you'll find a Safeway market.

This was our first experience and hopefully not our last. Gary is very professonal and organized, I believe I read that in another review and it is so true. What a great location and the view from the Lanai is fabulous. The unit is as nice as the photos and perfect for our family of three. The condo is very convenient and close to everything, I just can't say enough wonderful things about this unit.

This was my second time staying in this unit, the first time in 2007. The unit was clean and ready upon my arrival. I really cannot add to what has been said before in preceding reviews. Gary appears to have done some upgrades to the kitchen area since the last time I was there. The only negative, and it really is a positive, is that this unit is so popular, I had to reserve it 10 months in advance. I just looked to see if it was available next year and it is already booked up to July of next year! Given that the price is much lower than what Aston charges for the same kind of unit I am not surprised. Well worth the price.

I can hardly think of all the words I need to describe this condo! First off, Gary is very professional & organized. The view is really indescribable... it is MORE BEAUTIFUL than the pictures! The interior of the unit was lovely & clean, we couldn't have asked for anything better... the lanai is spacious and did I mention the view?? :) We will def. be back! Thanks Gary!!

Well, what a great condo Gary ! It's in the heart of everything in Waikiki, within walking distance to bus stops, restaurants, food pantry and of course "Dukes". The views from the balcony are spectacular and we certainly enjoyed them daily & nightly. We had an absolute wonderful time here and both of us thank you so much for our stay in your condo. Quite simply it was "PERFECT" !

Thank you Gary for sharing your condo with us, we really enjoyed your place. It was a great experience renting from you. You were right about he views, I never sat inside once! Had breakfast, lunch and dinner on the deck, I could not get enough of the views. We were very impressed by the size of the deck, we had a dinner there one night for five and had plenty of space. Your king size bed was very comfy and so was the queen pull out couch. We used your kitchen all the time and found it wonderful to have. Even though the buildings halls may be a little tired, your place was wonderful,bright and clean. We will be back! Thanks again.

As former residents of Hawaii (for 12 years), returning to Honolulu is always a special time for us. Being familiar with the island and Waikiki we are very selective about where we want to stay. We saw the pictures of this beautiful unit on VRBO, and it did not disappoint. In fact, it exceeded our expectations! The views are truly spectacular, and the colors will stay with you long after you leave the islands. All the amenities were comfortable and you can be at the beach in a matter of minutes! Highly recommended.

My husband and I really enjoyed our two weeks holiday in Gary’s condo #2903. The condo is as comfortable (especially the king size bed) as being in your own home. The pictures you see on the website of the condo are exactly what you see once you get there. We love to sit on the spacious lanai enjoying the beautiful view of the lush green mountains, golf course, canal, ocean and the city. Getting to the beach is a very short walk but if you like walking/jogging, taking the canal walkway which is a very short walk from the condo, is another excellent alternative to avoid traffic lights. Public transport which is readily available just across the street is very convenient when in a rush.The communication my husband had with Gary making arrangements for the stay at his condo was done in a pleasant manner and Gary is very efficient returning your phone calls or e-mails. If we were to visit Waikiki again, we would definitely get in touch with Gary for rental accommodation.

Spent 3 weeks in this lovely apartment with fabulous ocean and city views. We watched the Hilton Friday night fireworks display from the balcony. The furnishings/equipment in the apartment are excellent quality and the apartment had everything that we needed including fully equipped kitchen with top notch fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, toaster, plenty of crockery, glasses, utensils, pots/pans etc. This apartment will be our first choice on our next trip to Waikiki. We have had numerous holidays in Waikiki in various hotels/apartments over the years and this is our favourite accommodation.

My husband and I just returned from our stay at this condo. This was our 4th trip to Hawaii since 1988, but the first time we'd ever stayed at a condo rather than a hotel. I can say this was our BEST lodging experience in Waikiki. Everything about this rental experience was just really superb. The location, vistas and accommodations were first rate and did not disappoint. Only caveat (and a mild one, at that) is that it is a bit on the small side for more than 2 adults. The plus is that it is perfect for 2 adults, especially for enjoying the sunset on the lanai with a bottle of champagne! Additionally, the owner was a sheer pleasure to deal with. Both my husband and I recommend this rental highly. If/when we return to Waikiki, we can only hope it will be available for us.

My husband and I stayed at Gary's condo for 10 days in May. It was one of our best trips ever to Oahu. The condo was spectacular and the location could not have been better. The views were breathtaking and the huge lanai was so wonderful to hang out on. The grocery store was super close, only a block away. Gary was great to work with and very helpful when I called. I also recommend Keoni's for breakfast and La Cucaracha(across the street) was excellent too. I highly recommend this unit and have already told many people about it!

One of our best vacations, thanks in part to a memorable stay in this condo. It was clean, well furnished, with a well equipped kitchen. The view is spectacular from all sides, truly breathtaking. We had many dinners there watching the sunset. The washroom is clean, with a new tiled bathtub surround. On the first day, the air conditioner was not operating properly (breaker switch kept tripping). However, after notifying Gary, he promptly had the A/C fixed. The location is as central as it gets. Directly behind the Hyatt's twin towers, literally steps to the beach and many ABC's (hee hee). The building belongs to Resort Quest, and they keep the building well and clean. Parking is limited, and spaces are tight. Rent a smaller vehicle, and don't come back to the parking lot too late. However, one late night after most of the regular spaces were taken, the security gaurd told me I could park in any of the spots marked "restricted". I would recommend this condo, just can't beat the view or location. It will not disappoint.

My husband, 11 year old daughter and I stayed in unit 2903 of the Pacific Monarch July 29 to August 5, 2007. The lobby staff was friendly at all times and were familiar with our private owned condo procedure. We found the condo furnished looking exactly as the advertised photos. The only difference is the stunning views of Waikiki! Great beach/ocean views, equally nice views of the city lights and mountains. The furnishings were clean and comfortable. My daughter used the pull out bed with no complaints. The king size bed was comfortable too. My personal negative is the down-filled pillows, they are too squishy for me. There was plenty of drawer space so that we could unpack and put away clothes. The small closet has hangars. My only complaint is there isn't enough hooks for hanging wet swim suits or towels. The location of the building is awesome, just a short walk to Kuhio beach. Everything you could want to do is right there: surfing (and lessons), outrigger rides, laying out. There is a nice calm beach protected by a breakwater that is great for the little ones. We had arranged for a few tours, most will pick up at the Pacific Monarch, others at the Hyatt Regency one block away. The zoo and aquarium are within walking distance. We did a little cooking in the unit, the kitchen has everything you need except food (the Food Pantry grocery is two blocks away). There are many wonderful restaurants within walking distance at all price points. For breakfast try Keoni's and the Galaxy Steak house. Lunch was good at Da' Big Kahuna and Coconut Grille. We especially liked the Hula Grill for Dinner. There is also fast food if the kids just want something familiar. The all tiled rooftop pool, heated spa and deck areas were clean. The pool area offered nice views and was a nice way to cool down after time out and about. The stairwell to the pool level is carpeted and as it is in a "wet" area it does smell of mold. The reception room at the 32nd floor offers a nice way for larger families to stretch out. There is also a dry sauna and shower on this level. There is a nice laundry area at the Pacific Monarch: 6 washers/8 dryers and vending for detergent, etc. Cost was $1.50 each for wash and dry and the dryers do dry a load with towels. Parking was $12 for 24 hours and somewhat limited. We found that we didn't need a rental car for the whole trip, but we did want to explore on our own to the North Shore, there is a Th

We stayed in this condo from 12/1--12/05/06 and have to say it is even more scenic then the photos display--the views are spectacular. The condo is very well appointed--has all the necessities--the bed was the most comfortable we have slept in and the location is perfect for exploring Waikiki and for accessing transportation. We always felt safe in the neighborhood and after touring during the day it was great to come "home" and enjoy the lanai and the city, beach sights. We were first time renters and hope to return.

We just returned from 4 weeks at this lovely condo, and have already reserved for next year! We loved the condo because of the fantastic panoramic ocean views and lights of downtown Honolulu. The other two walls are mirrored, so it is view, view, view...... the king bed was soooo comfortable and the condo is very nicely furnished and clean. It is only 1 1/2 blocks from the beach and grocery store, right on the city bus line for Hanauma Bay, Aloha Stadium, etc. and most tours pick up behind the Hyatt, a half block away. The pool is on the roof of the building (34th floor) with a 360 degrees view. Gary is very nice to deal with and we truly look forward to returning to his condo next year.

Thanks for providing a well maintained condo! It was well equipped and met all our expectations. The views were absolutely georgeous! The lanai was just as described. No obstruction and full view of the mountains, city, and blue ocean. The staff are very friendly. The bus stop is just across the street on Kuhio. It is a short walking distance to the beach, numerous shopping areas,the zoo and many more. As they say......ABC stores "all blocks covered" is available everywhere. There is also a mini market downstairs for your convenience. Self service laundry is available on the 3rd floor. $1 per load and $1. for drying. Yes....you will need the correct change to park your car $12 for 24 hour period and they do check! Thanks Gary!

We stayed in mid-March 2006 & found Pacific Monarch to be a wonderful condo with incredible ocean views. The condo is cozy, but clean & well equipped, & has a very large, comfortable lanai. The location is very convenient. We had two adult couples, which was a little tight, but still do-able & comfortable! One note of advice: bring old $10's with you - they are EXTREMELY hard to find for the parking machine. In all - we would HIGHLY recommend the condo & found Gary extremely pleasant to rent from!

We stayed for four nights in January 2006. Our family (2 adults, 1 7-year old)were perfectly comfortable in this clean, well-equipped apartment. Our son loved the LCD television with DVD/VCR. We loved the comfortable bed and the standing-under-a-waterfall powerful shower. We all loved the fully equipped kitchen, the lanai (we had lunch out there every day), and the view of the ocean was fantastic.

We have stayed in numerous Wakiki accomodations previously and must say that this condo is by far the best we have yet to find! It is the first place we have stayed where you could actually enjoy the spacious lanai, stretch out on a lounge chair, read a book, or just star gaze. The views are spectacular day and night from both the lanai and inside the unit. Be sure to bring binoculars during whale watching season, as we saw several during January. The unit was neat, clean,and well equipped, as well as nicely decorated. The price makes the unit a GREAT value, and we will not hesitate to look for a return visit to this unit!
