The cottage was beautiful! With a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. We also loved its location, very close to town yet very secluded and peaceful. I would recommend a stay there to anyone looking for a romantic retreat.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

If you ever need a tranquil beautiful and special place to stay in the Catskills the Blue Pearl is the place to rest your head. And soul. The cottage is very tastefully designed and has a true zen to itself. Evelyn and Laura did everything to make our stay just great. This place and the way it is run is highly recommended. I can't wait to go back.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

My husband and I are local to the woodstock area. We wanted a romantic weekend getaway with all the amenities without having to drive too far. Being local we were able to view the properties we were interested in before commiting to a rental. We encountered some scary situations at other properties, green slimy pools, mold and filth. Not so at The Blue Pearl. This House and Property are immaculate. The owners love for the property are apparent everywhere you look. The decor inside will make you feel like you stepped into a romantic movie. The lighting alone will have you in awe. The Pool was sparkling blue and surrounded by nature. Evelyn was the perfect hostess, when we wanted privacy we had it, when we needed something she was there. There is Luxury at every turn at the Blue Pearl. We highly recommend this Property!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/2

My wife daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful last minute New Years getaway at the Blue Pearl. The cottage was cozy and inviting and presented exactly like the pictures. The walk to town takes only a few minutes. In town you can enjoy all the sops and restaurants that Woodstock has to offer. While you are Blue Pearl, you will be able to cook, read, relax and just enjoy your stay. We will be back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

My boyfriend and I wanted to get out of the city for some fresh air and relaxation. I wanted to do some hiking, he wanted to do some reading; and we found the The Blue Pearl to be extremely accommodating to both our indoor and outdoor needs. Not only is the home inviting and comfortable, but it is also located just minutes away from so many convenient local attractions: Woodstock's shops, restaurants, galleries, hiking trails, overlook Mountain, and more. The location provided us with a nice balance between the times when we wanted to get out and explore, and the other times when we wanted to say inside and cuddle up near the fire. It was a pleasure to coordinate our vacation with Judy, as she was always available for questions, and eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Both my boyfriend and I still talking about what a great time we had at The Blue Pearl. The getaway was one of the major highlights of our winter season, and we hope to plan another visit in the future.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

My wife, daughter, and I spent three days in Woodstock at the Blue Pearl. We liked the area and the grounds were beautiful. There is not a lot of separation from the main house (you will hear them and they will hear you if you're eating outside), but the owners seemed very nice and Judy, the property manager, was helpful as well. The pool is nice and big, but we spent so much time in town or cooking that we only used it once. All in all a nice vacation and money well spent.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We stayed at The Blue Pearl this summer with our seven year old son and had such an amazing time. The cottage is decorated beautifully, I felt so inspired by the warm, bright colors and the thoughtfulness that was represented in each and every corner. The property manager, Judy, was so friendly and welcoming. The Blue Pearl is the perfect place for privacy, it felt like it was "our" house. The views were incredible, the pool was perfect and we were able to walk into town everyday (only a ten minute walk). We would definitely return to the Blue Pearl Cottage, and I highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone who enjoys beauty, tranquility and privacy. The cottage has everything you could possibly need (including some pretty cool books!) We are so grateful that were able to find the Blue Pearl this summer, it has created fabulous memories for our family.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

The Blue Pearl is an extraordinary find. From the outside, it looks like a quaint little cottage on a quiet country lane. On the inside, you feel immediately transported to another realm -- like a happy hybrid of sacred space and sultan's den. It is warm, cozy, serene, and beautiful -- anfantastic place to unwind, let go, and renew. There's a great little garden/sitting area right in front and the pool is just a one minute walk away. The mountain views are a delight and it's only a 15 minute walk to the village of Woodstock, with great little stores, restaurants, and cafes. I highly recommend the Blue Pearl (regularly to all my friends and clients)Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This place is truly magical! Just came back from our second weekend at the Blue Pearl and have fallen even more deeply in love with the cottage! It is incredibly relaxing and makes you feel as if you've been transported to an entirely new place- certainly not New York! While you are in the cottage and in another world, Woodstock is still right there, with all of its charm, fun shops and great food. Would recommend this place in a heartbeat to anyone looking for an escape!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I stayed at this lovely home in january this year. I was hoping for a tranquil, cosy retreat to relax, write and generally recharge. The cottage in reality was so far beyond my expectations and such a truly pleasant surprise. I feel truly lucky to have discovered such a gem. The owners were so kind and friendly, and the property manager went out of her way to be helpful and welcoming too. The decor is cosy, warm and comfortable, the cottage was a true haven. Stunning surroundings, town wasily walkable and the friendliest place I have ever been lucky enough to visit. One day I hope to be lucky enough to return.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This charming cottage is the perfect place for a quiet getaway from it all. It's beautifully decorated in warm hues and lush textiles, and the slippers and robes are a sweet bonus. The various lighting fixtures and dimmers help to create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, and the gas fireplace is a great touch. We had a perfect autumn weekend at the Blue Pearl and will definitely be back in the summer to use the pool. Judy Atwood is amazing. Give her a call, you won't be disappointed!Recommended for: Romantic getaway

My partner and I were looking to get out of town for a romantic getaway close to home. By some miracle we were lucky enough to happen upon The Blue Pearl in Woodstock. Upon our arrival we were met by the charming and very helpful Judy Atwood who showed us around the cottage and provided us with helpful hints of what Woodstock had to offer. The cottage, which is located on a quiet and serene street, was immaculate and the décor was beautifully thought-out. The cushy white bathrobes, plush slippers, and the tasty port, accompanied by two glasses, were waiting for us as noted. The kitchen was well-stocked, and as we are both foodies, we grilled almost every night picking up fresh food daily from the local market. The pool was refreshing in the heat of probably one of the hottest weeks of the summer. As a matter of fact, I spent most of my day on a raft floating in the pool gazing at the mountains in the distance. We were thrilled to find such a gem so close to home. We hope to visit again soon.Recommended for: Romantic getaway
