  Overall our experience was very good. We loved the layout of the house and all the new amenities. The hot tub was a huge success and we used it as much as possible. What wasn't so good was that we had to be responsible for removing the trash from the house. We didnt know that until the last day so we had to load our cars up with 10 bags of smelly trash. For a vacation home, we would have thought that there would be another option available. This is not the way we wanted to end our relaxing vacation. In addition, there was no firewood and when we asked about it the property manager said she forgot to get it for us. We were very disappointed.

  WE WERE SURPRISED BY THE SNOW FROM THE SKI MOUNTAIN FACILITY BUT ENJOYED OUR STAY. THE FIREPLACE WAS GREAT AND EVERYTHING WAS AS DESCRIBED IN THE LISTING.

  This is a wonderful place to stay for a weekend! Our two families enjoyed the hot tub, the spacious living area, and being so close to the wonderful town of Blowing Rock and the many things the area has to offer. The house was even better than described in the photos! The owner was extremely helpful and easy to get a hold of. We will definitely be planning a stay here again soon!

  This three bedroom, three bath home sits near the top of Appalacian Ski Mountain, at the top of a ski lift. It has a wonderful open great room, kitchen, dining room combination with a huge island off the kitchen. All windows along the mountain view side provide a nice panoramic, but vegetation has taken its toll on the view. But still very pleasant with a great balcony. The hot tub was fantastic and in good working order - very clean and well mantained and most enjoyable. The third bedroom with four bunk beds is a great plus if you have several kids or skiers. The house was as represented in the listing except the summer view has gone "soft" due to vegetation growth. The photos were an accurate description of the house, except the front entry on the lower and the main living area on the second level was not well defined. Thw owner was especially cooperative in all dealings. On the downside the flight of stairs from the entrance to the main living level on the second floor are steep and with narrow treads. They required caution for the able bodied and were most difficult for me who walks with a cane. The owner needs to provide more explicit instructions as to what to do with the trash on checkout. The Blowing Rock convenience center, aka the dump, only operates Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We checked out on Saturday and had to leave the trash there. Overall it is a great house with all the amenities you could want. We particularly enjoyed finding all the different routes off the mountain and into the great little town of Blowing Rock or over to Boone. Lots to do in both. We also checked out Banner Elk - not so much there unless it is winter and you're a skier. But Blowing Rock is a gem and most conveniently located. All of the attractions are good with some qualifiers - Tweetsie Railroad and Mystery Hill are for kids - our ten year old grandson enjoyed them. Moses Cone is a plus as is Grandfather Mountain and Linville Falls and the easy bike trail in Boone, the Mast General Stores and the Blowing Rock itself for the views. In the way of restaurants. we recommend Bistro Roca, Blowing Rock Cafe and Berts Bar and Knights on Main. We do not recommend Canyons - seems to be a hangout for locals that like to smoke and the hostess seating us was most uncooperative even thougth wee had reservations. We had a most enjoyable week in mid June and we'll be back. We recommend Blowing Rock and this mountain home.

  I rented this home for three months and it was absolutely perfect in every way. The home is exceptionally well maintained and very comfortable. Great location, dog friendly, very private, and one fabulous hottub! I would highly recommend this wonderful home.

  Our family (2 adults, 3 kids, 1 dog) spent Christmas here and felt like we were in our own, luxurious mountain home. The views from the living room and master were gorgeous. And the hot tub has the same gorgeous view! The kids and dog loved the living area downstairs and the bunk beds were great. The home is very well designed and stylish while still being comfortable. Bopping into town was easy. Blowing Rock has several great eating options for families and also for a parents' night out. Ski mountain (including an ice rink) is just down the hill. Finally, the owner was gracious and very easy to contact and work with. I could not recommend this property more highly.

  Our family had a wonderful time in Blowing Rock. This house was clean and comfortable with amazing mountain views. The location was so convenient to Blowing Rock (5 mins), Boone (10 mins), and the Blue Ridge Parkway (3 mins). The owner was easy to get a hold of and very nice. Would stay here again!!!

  This house looked even better than the pictures! The inside of the house was decorated beautifully. The 8 person hot tub was really nice--it was relatively new and had the LED lights and waterfall which was great. The house is located literally right next to a ski lift--very cool location. The dogs liked it but our senior dog did have some trouble because there were a series of wooden steps to get outside and he found it difficult walking in and out but he managed. Would definitely stay here again.

  We spent a wonderful three days in this beautiful, comfortable home. It is so well-located - just a few minutes to Blowing Rock or Boone and just a mile or so off the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is also right on the ski slopes so we would love to come back and experience it during winter. We hiked at Grandfather Mountain one afternoon and another day to Storyteller's Rock. The 8-person hot tub was a wonderful way to relax our sore muscles after all that hiking. At night on the deck the stars were brilliant. We even saw Venus low on the horizon. We had a couple great meals in Blowing Rock - highly recommend Woodlands Barbeque - and also enjoyed cooking in the home's wonderful, spacious kitchen. The living room furniture and beds were very comfortable.We recommend this home to anyone who wants to enjoy beautiful views of the mountains while being close to everything the area has to offer.

  We loved this house! The view is amazing. You can see for miles and miles. The hot tub was so much fun, just what we needed after a long day of hiking. Good hiking trails off the Blue Ridge Parkway less than a mile away. The beds were super comfortable, plenty of space for our group of 8 ladies. As the one who stayed in the master bedroom, the master bath jacuzzi tub was a nice treat. Only thing we found it needed was more wine glasses. We will visit again!
