We were here to celebrate my parents' 54th anniversary. This is my first time renting a vacation home so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. What a wonderful surprise upon arrival. The pictures posted on the website really don't do any justice. Everything is top quality and clean. It's 5 minutes away from the beach and less than 15 minutes away from Santa Barbara. But you don't even have to go out at all. The place is very comfortable. I could have just stayed in the house and have a relaxing time. Highly recommend to everyone.

This property site is magnificent, the pictures just don't do it justice. We stayed in this home for 3 nights, and as other reviews noted, Mary was very helpful with quick feedback on questions, and allowed a small family gathering during our stay; the property was just perfect for the occasion. The house furnished nicely, maintained well, and provides all the comforts of home. The house has a wonderful entrance which feels like an old European home. The backyard has a creek, lawn, boulders and a wonderfully located swing bench, and being surrounded by mature oaks gives the house a wonderful feeling of living in a treehouse, yet its a quick drive to the beach and surrounding towns. We loved relaxing and enjoying the views, the sound of frogs from the creek lulled us to sleep at night, and the yard provides a wonderful escape from a busy day. The house has everything we could possibly need as others have noted, wonderful quality linens, kitchen accessories, etc, and a nice jucuzzi under the trees and stars. We felt at home from the moment we walked in, could not give a higher recommendation for the property and the owner, and we hope to visit again.

Amazing Home...Beautiful, Warm, Elegant, Perfect Flow!

We rented this home last weekend to host an initmate double baby shower with close friends and family. I can't say how impressed we were with this property.The home is very welcoming and beautifully layed out. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were extremely nice (pressed and crisp). Everyone that came to the shower couldn't stop remarking about how beautiful the architecture was with all of the windows and the 2nd floor living. (There are 3 nice size bedrooms downstairs, one being a master suite. There is a 2nd master suite upstairs, as well as the kitchen, dining room, tv room, and living room) There are balcony's off the majority of the upstairs rooms, which was nice for socializing and enjoying the ocean view. The home is surrounded by beautiful, mature oak trees, which creates an amazing feeling of zen like escape, especially with the ocean view off the back balcony. (we all enjoyed some wine while watching the sunset on this patio...amazing!) We would stay here again in an instant! The owners were extremely easy to work with and without a doubt, our stay exceeded our expectations. The event went off beautifully and I look forward to our next visit!

This home is really a beautiful retreat, my daughter was graduating from Westmont College and we had wonderful family reception here. It has very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and an overall warm environment. Mary was so helpful in the planning of our trip with restaurant suggestions, bakery and catering recommendations. We had a wonderful time and we will return. This is definitely a wonderful home to rent, don't pass it up.

A stunningly beautiful home in Montecito, this was the perfect getaway from a hectic week for my daughter and me; although much larger than we needed, it enabled both of us to get lost in our thoughts with an entire floor for each of us, and several acres with a beautiful creek outside. This is the only home I'll ever consider from now on when visiting my friends in Santa Barbara.

We recently stayed there in connection with a family wedding. The house slept eight comfortably, and was well set up for entertaining. The house is very well maintained, and easily accessible to area attractions. I would recommend it highly.

We stayed in this beautiful, spacious home with an adult family of 6 and had a wonderful time. There was a variety of entertaining areas, including 2 large outdoor decks and a jacuzzi. The indoor living room was large, well furnished and comfortable, with a beautiful view. The kitchen was modern and well stocked with all the items necessary for entertaining. The owners were very helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. I would hope to return to this lovely residence again and would highly recommend it to others.

Our group had a wonderful time at this most well appointed property. As my nine year old said, "It's awesome!" We had plenty of room, the kitchen was perfect and the decks were lovely. The house was well stocked and very comfortable. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. We will be back!

We just rented this home for our annual girls getaway. It was more than we could have ever imagined! The photos and info on the website do not do this home justice. We were so thoroughly surprised with how gorgeous every room was. Everything is high end and beautiful. It is open, bright, spacious, yet still cozy. The home is VERY clean and everything is well cared for. One of the best parts is the backyard and decks - we spent an entire day in the hot tub, playing bocce ball on the grass, cards on the tables, and lounging about on the outdoor furniture. The only noise is from the creek that runs through the yard, birds, and the wind through the trees. The kitchen is fully stocked with nice glassware, dinnerware, serving platters, All-Clad pots, etc. Also, the owner, Mary, was so helpful, easy to work with, and accommodating. From the initial emails inquiring about the home, until our arrival, Mary was wonderful. We were so sad to leave this beautiful home, but we know we will be back. It is truly a gem....I know that our whole group is already coming up with reasons to come back. Whether it's for another girls trip, family reunion, or couples getaway...it would be perfect. We would all recommend this property to anyone.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is gracious, beautifully decorated and in a wonderful location. My family and I stayed here for Christmas, 2010, and what a wonderful time we had! The house is just as described, and we were amazed by the view and the harmony of the building and the dramatic property surrounding it...rocks, live oaks, and two rushing streams. Though just off Toro Canyon Road the house is very quiet and secluded. The house was clean and in top condition. There is lots of room, with a great floor plan; contemporary but with a very comfortable feel. Of course there is plenty to do nearby, from sleepy Summerland and its beach about 5 minutes down the road, to busy Santa Barbara. Try a hike in beautiful Toro Canyon Park just north of the house. There is no lack of great places to eat within a short drive. The owners are very helpful and professional. Our experience with this home was superb.

A Perfect Spot for a Special Event

When we learned that our good college friend's son was getting married in Santa Barbara, we looked for a property that would not only accommodate six of us but would also be a good venue for a pre-wedding cocktail party. Mary, one of the owners of this beautiful home, responded quickly to our initial inquiry that the house was available. It was the start of an incredible "conversation" that led to a wonderful party. Mary gave us invaluable tips on caterers, rental companies, restaurants and florists. Our wildest expectations were met, if not surpassed, when we arrived. The house is beautifully situated, the backyard is lovely and we should all have the creature comforts that this home offers--a state-of-the-art kitchen, incredibly comfy beds, jacuzzis in two of the bathrooms, an ocean view, and on and on. We have stayed at many rental homes and apartments. This one sets the standard. Thank you, Mary and Van!

Our group of 8 got together for a weekend away. Great big comfy beds, sleeps 8 comfortably. Beautiful bathrooms and kitchen. All the rooms are nice and bright. Patios galore! Great hot tub. All the extras you would hope for - towels, pots and pans, utensils, and a few condiments. We stayed in for our meals and enjoyed using the kitchen. Great home for a group get together with plenty of seating areas. We had a wonderful stay and a great experience. We will definitely keep this place in mind for our next get together and we will be sure to recommend it to friends. The owner was a breeze to work with and was always quick to reply to the questions we had before, during, and after our stay.

My girlfriends and I go on a "girls trip" every year and we needed a comfortable, roomy place for the five of us to stay in Santa Barbara. I found this place and was so excited when we were able to get it for our trip. The owner was wonderful to work with and very responsive to our questions. The house is gorgeous and meticulously maintained. The kitchen is well equipped with all the dishes, etc. you'll probably need. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and very comfortable and worked out just great for us! We spent several hours on the upper deck enjoying the ocean view and the afternoon sunshine - it was heaven. The spa was great for relaxing after a full day of shopping at all the great Santa Barbara shops, which are a short drive from the house. The house is nice and secluded on the 2 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. Also, the laptop with internet was very nice to have; we used it to plan outings. The listing's pictures show a lot of the house, but there is so much more to it. It really is fantastic. We would have loved to stay longer. I highly recommend this property for your vacation rental.

My husband and I were looking for a weekend getaway along with a few of our close friends, when we stumbled across this property in Montecito. We couldn’t have been more satisfied with all aspects of our stay… the renter was extremely nice and responsive to our inquiries, the home looks several times better in reality than the photos posted on this site, it is close to the beach as well as State Street/Santa Barbara. The home feels secluded; it is nestled between two acres of beautiful greenery and has several large decks where one can lounge during the day, soaking in the sun. We started our days with breakfast and mimosas on the deck that has a clear view of the beach. The outdoor hot tub is also a delight in the evening. In addition, we were pleasantly surprised with how well stocked the kitchen was and how many other amenities were provided. We couldn’t have found a better place for our weekend stay and would love to return.

This home is gorgeous and maintained beautifully. The beds are excellent, it's stocked with the most kitchen tools, pots and pans, dishes and glass ware that we have ever seen at a rental. The large white bath towels are a special treat! The photos don't begin to depict the house or particularly the landscape. The spa was freshly maintained the day we arrived. Special touches of light mini lights in and around the main exterior patio. There truly is an ocean view from the living room and greenery from all the other windows. The owner was a delight to work with. We had planned on eating out more, and it was such a haven we went to Vons and brought back groceries. I would definitely recomment this property to a friend, but we are hopeful we can return in a year. Thanks so much! It made our celebration with our daughter more than we hoped for! PS, I was up early each morning enjoying the peaceful beauty and even got to see a large doe drinking from the small creek that runs across the path, and then came onto this property. What a treat!

The pictures on the site does not do this house justice. It is very open and spacious and has plenty of living and deck space. It contains everything you need and want (the espresso maker, turntable, and personal computer was a nice touch). The yard and landscaping is beautiful. Very private. Overall, this home is very peaceful and relaxing and I can't wait to go back!

My extended family enjoyed a comfortable, relaxed get together. The house has different areas for people to gather, including upstairs and downstairs comfy chairs and couches, several decks and patios overlooking great oak trees, and chairs outside on the lawn and hammock by the creek! Airy, fresh, and lovely.

We have been VRBO renters for years and we can without hesitation say that this home is one otf the best rental experiences we have had. The location is perfect for trips to Santa Barbara and the beach, yet secluded and private. The property is surrounded with beautiful trees and a stream which gives you total privacy. The house itself is fully equipped and tastefully decorated. The upstairs living / kitchen area is gorgeous and has a ocean view from the patio. We are going to make it our home away from home!
