Property description

Beds at the Blue Willow are top of the line quality for your comfort. With down comforters that will keep you toasty in winter and high thread count summer sheets that are cool and crisp in warmer weather. Synthetic, hypoallergenic bedding is available upon request. Most folks find our mountain climate divine with over 280 days of sunshine and only rare extremes.

The kitchen is warm and homey, and fully equipped for cooking. Blue Willow is furnished with a mixture of country chic and antiques sprinkled in with folk art. Your kids can walk around the corner to the park and city pool or around the other corner for sledding in the winter. It is walking distance, or a short bike ride, from many of Bozeman's best attractions and would be a great place to stay while checking out MSU for your HS graduate or a more personal way to accommodate out of town guests for a graduation or wedding.

Bozeman is a unique and friendly quintessential Northern Rockies college town dedicated to the arts, live music, locally grown food and endless year round outdoor recreation. Located in a historic neighborhood, the Blue Willow is just a few blocks away from walking trails, farmers markets, art festivals, live music and a vibrant downtown with fabulous local cuisine and great shopping.

Montana is known to be 'The Last Best Place' and we have aimed to make your stay here memorable.

Barely an hour and a half from Yellowstone Park, Bozeman is the ideal jumping off point for premier wildlife viewing and you can choose to get there from two different roads. One follows the Yellowstone River, the other follows the Gallatin River and you can fish your way down to the park and back either way, or do a complete loop and see both river valleys. 20 minutes from the house up Hyalite Canyon there's more fishing, boating, XC skiing, ice fishing, ice climbing, hiking and camping.

Owner info

Year Purchased: 2001

About the owner: I've lived here in Bozeman since the seventies and raised my children here. I consider myself a native 'Bozemanite' and will always call Montana home. An avid outdoorsman, I've spent years traversing the surrounding areas to hike, fish and camp. I feel very much a part of the local community, as we are all invested in Bozeman's growth and preservation. I now enjoy this opportunity to share such a very special place with guests from around the world. I consider myself privileged to live here in 'mountain surround sound' and continue to be in awe of it's beauty and wildlife. My daughter Terra is currently managing this property for me as I am enjoying retirement, travel, and time with freinds and family . She will be glad to welcome you and answer any questions or give your recommendations during your stay. We hope to make your visit or vacation special with the comforts, amenities and location of the Blue Willow Guest House!

Why the Owner Chose Bozeman:
The rental is in the very heart of this mountain town and is truly walking distance to everything, even the mountains that surround us. The rental is like a very cozy cottage that offers both privacy and social interactions with the locals who are friendly and helpful. You will be spoiled by this location and all the amenities Bozeman has to offer, even a neighborhood grocery store and newly finished public library. As a college town, there are more educated people living here per capita than most other western towns and people are polite, creative, and energetic. The outgoing vibe of those who call Bozeman home is palpable and tangible! You won't go home without wonderful memories and experiences.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
Location, location, location! One can walk or bike everywhere. Groceries, entertainment, restaurants, art, parks, trails, mountains, rivers, farmer's markets, sledding, XC skiing, the university, museums, theaters, fishing, biking, hiking, shopping and all the seasonal festivals are only a few blocks away! Music on Main, Sweet Pea Festival, County Fair, Christmas Stroll, and two Farmer's Markets are all walking distance from this house. Bridger Bowl is only 16 miles away up the hill and offers some of this country's best skiing and spectacular views. This is a very welcoming, gracious and friendly neighborhood. Bozeman is a very special place and we think you will agree.
