Why the Owner Chose Bryson City
We had been visiting the area since getting married in 1983, camping, hiking, kayaking, and eventually decided we needed a cabin of our own. After looking at properties for a year, we finally found the perfect place to build our cabin in Black Forest. We bought ten acres in 2002 and built our cabin from scratch in 2003.
The Unique Benefits at this Three-Story Log Cabin
It is secluded and private, yet convenient to get to all the places we enjoy, and the drive into town is absolutely beautiful. Although there are very few neighbors, the ones we have are friendly and treat us like family.
We especially enjoy the serenity of hiking around the mountain, picking blackberries or viewing wildlife. After a long day of kayaking or hiking some trails, we can relax in the hot tub to take in the view or sit in the rocking chairs on the porch or gaze out the window from the living room or bedroom. No matter which we choose, it is like heaven on earth!
Smoky Mountain Railway Depot for train trips through the mountains
For rafting, kayaing, canoeing. The Appalachian Trail has access from here, also.
