The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
It is secluded and private, yet convenient to get to all the places we enjoy, and the drive into town is absolutely beautiful. Although there are very few neighbors, the ones we have are friendly and treat us like family.
We especially enjoy the serenity of hiking around the mountain, picking blackberries or viewing wildlife. After a long day of kayaking or hiking some trails, we can relax in the hot tub to take in the view or sit in the rocking chairs on the porch or gaze out the window from the living room or bedroom. No matter which we choose, it is like heaven on earth!
Smoky Mountain Railway Depot for train trips through the mountains
For rafting, kayaing, canoeing. The Appalachian Trail has access from here, also.

We had so much fun here. When we arrived and opened the door we knew it was a great place to stay. It was very clean and nicely decorated. I guess our favorite place would be the back deck. The view is absolutely gorgeous. The view, the hot tub and those little hummingbirds kept us entertained. The "quiet" was such a comforting thing to experience. We were in hopes to see a bear but it didn't happen. We did see a deer one day while driving down the lane from the cabin. All of God's creation is so good. Thanks for allowing us to rent your beautiful cabin and we do plan another trip here.

I was initially drawn to this cabin by the photos and video posted on VRBO, but then when we got there, I was stunned by how much more beautiful it was in person than the pictures! Words just cannot describe how georgeous this place was! There must have been thousands of lillies blooming all around the property, pink trees all down the driveway and rhododendrum (?) blossoms every where! Every morning we would sit on the deck to watch the clouds rising out of the valley in awe of the splendor all around us! The cabin was perfect for all our needs, secluded yet convenient to access all the places we wanted to go. It was well stocked and beautifully decorated with a forest theme. Our kids enjoyed the hot tub and large collection of children's videos after a long day in the outdoors. The owners were very nice and accommodating, although they politely refused when my little boy offered to buy their cabin:) The only draw back here was that we did not have more time! We will definitely be back!

Our family rented this beautiful cabin in June. It was just as described and offered such a spectacular view. We were looking for a secluded cabin that was close to mountains. This was the perfect location to enjoy the area without the crowds. We would highly recommend it and the owner was very easy to work with.

The photos on the website just do not do justice to this place. It is so beautiful, it is undescribeable! Every morning and every evening we sat out on the deck in awe! With the wireless internet I was able to stay in touch with work while sitting out by the hot tub, I thought I was in heaven. This was our second stay here and we will definitely come back again.

You have a beautiful Cabin and a beautiful view, breath taking in the mornings my favorite time of day. We were VERY excited to see that you had baby gates in the closet. They came in very helpful as we were able to block the stairs up and down so our toddler couldn't explore too far. We really enjoyed your cabin, thank you so much and we look forward to another stay at the Black Forest Cabin.

Unfortunately, we only went to the cabin for 2 nights! No one wanted to leave. The views were splendid, the cabin was spotless, and the hot tub was awsome!! We didn't even want to leave the cabin to do other activities!! We could have spent the whole time there. My 7 year old son, was the first one in the hot tub and he is planning on buying the cabin when he grows up!! I have never been so relaxed in my life. The view from the deck is the tops of the adjacent mountains, so my phrase for the few days, was..." We are on top of the World!" and we were! Planning on coming for a whole week next summer!!! 5 stars for the Blackforest Retreat!!!!

Very comfortable cabin with absolutely beautiful surroundings. The house was supplied with everything we could have needed (other than food, of course), and the owners were a delight to work with. Thank you for the great long weekend!
