Very well located in the most elegant area of Nice on the FRENCH RIVIERA, modern, fully-equipped, decorated apartment overlooking the sea, the Alps Mountains, Nice Bay (BAIE DES ANGES) and "PROMENADE DES ANGLAIS". 5 minute drive to the sea, 10 to Old Nice and downtown, Nice best grocery store nearby at 10 minutes walk. Bus station (Belle-Rive) in front of the entrance of the private road to the Residence.
The two-bedroom NON SMOKING apartment is located in the exclusive area of Nice called Mont-Boron (Boron Hill). The building on the hill explains the unique views 5se comments from previous occupants). You might have heard about it since Architectural Digest did publish pictures of Elton John's property, located in the area. You may easily locate the apartment on a map since it is between the "basse corniche" (also named bd Maeterlink, along the seacoast) and the "moyenne corniche" (also named National road 7 going to Monaco). Its facing Nice harbour, Nice Bay (Baie des Anges) and the open sea.
Completely renovated by an architect in an Italian-Provencal fashion, it has a living room with a terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, the Promenade des Anglais, the Alps, the Esterel Mountains, and the old Nice. Since the apartment is on a hill, the view is almost comparable to the one you have from a plane.
The bedrooms open onto a large terrace which overlooks a city-owned park on a hill. Bedrooms are covered with hardwood floors while the common area is covered with tiles from Tuscany. The master bedroom has a very confortable queen size bed (Simmons) and the guest bedroom has 2 twin beds.
The kitchen opens up onto a small balcony with a beautiful ocean view. There is sun all day since the apartment has three orientations, from east to west. You can then have your breakfast and look at the sea as the sun rises and have your dinner with the same view as the sun sets with a beautiful view of the illuminated city and it's Promenade. Because of its unique location, the apartment is very quiet. There is a private garage for one car or you may leave the car in a parking lot. There is one bathroom and a separate room for the toilet.
All windows have electric shades. Beds and furniture are new, except early XIX century Provencal chairs in the living room and a Louis-Philippe cupboard in one bedroom. Spices, dry herbs, alcool and cleaning liquids are left in the apartment for your convenience. Their replacement is expected.
Neighbourhood and weather: There is large grocery store at 10 minutes walk and above 50 euros, they provide a free delivery service.
Nice is the French's fifth largest city - well served by an international airport, trains, highways, and a harbor. Nice has its own opera house, many cinemas where films in English are shown. The city is at a 20-minute drive to Monte Carlo or Italy (180 kilometers from Genoa), 25 minutes to Provencal villages such as Saint-Paul de Vence and Monte-Carlo, and 80 kilometers from ski slopes (South Alpes). There is a 20-minute walk to the beaches, ten by bus, and five by car.
The swimming is very pleasant since the water temperature can reach 28 degrees Celsius during the summer. Even though people swim all year round, it is comfortable till late October. Warm enough to grow grapefruit and oranges not to mention the famous small Nice olives, the area is the warmest and the sunniest of France.
The dry Mediterranean climate gives a summer average between 25 and 30 degrees, 15-20 during winter (but it can be 26 on the terrace in January). Since the apartment is located on a hill and with its three orientations, it enjoys a natural and pleasant breeze. In winter time, it is warm

Map & Owner's Profile
Most Spectacular Day and Night Sea View, Quiet, Renovated
Why the Owner Chose Nice
After traveling world wide, I realized this is the best light you can find. This is probably why Picasso, Cezane (go and see his grave at the St Paul de Vence cimetary), Matisse settled there. Nice offers opera, theatres, cinemas, good restaurants, beaches but also the unique charm of the Mediterranea. Italy, Monaco, and the Alps are nearby. You can do everything you like there from watching opera, indulged at a pleasant restaurant on a beach or go moutain hiking.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
I can not say it in a better way than previous tenants. Reading them you will see different and recurent appreciations.
Spectacular view on both ways, toward Cannes and oppsite direction, Monaco
Yoy may also rent a boat there, see the chapel decorated by Jean Cocteau
Lots of pleasant restaurants, lively but quiet. Some nice shops like Hermes

A Beautifully Decorated and Very Clean Condo; Better Than Any Dream!

This was our first time to the Nice area and the best experience with HOMEAWAY/VRBO rentals. The photos show the unit exactly as it is. In fact, if you can imagine it being even more beautiful than the photos, you'll understand why this apt. is better than a dream. Waking up in the morning, opening the shutters and looking out at the sea made it difficult to leave each day. We made sure we stayed 'til sunset before going out for dinner at night b/c the sky is so inviting. The condo is very quiet, on a hill away from the noise of the traffic. The owner sent many emails to us [pages and pages] of information to make our stay comfortable; exact directions to the condo, grocery store, pastry shop and boulangerie, museums, restaurants in all price ranges [which we went to and loved every single recommendation]. His taste is outstanding and his help was necessary and appreciated. We never got lost, ate the most delicious meals [not only in NIce but in the surrounding towns that we visited daily] and saw all the sights we intended to see and more because of his knowledge. He, obviously, cares very much about the comfort and happiness for the people who rent his condo. I'm certain he spent many hours personalizing "travel tips and ideas" for us. His suggestions made our vacation a richer experience. We have already emailed him and asked to rent again next year.

My husband and I, along with our two kids (ages four and nine months) stayed at this apartment for one week in July. We had a wonderful time! Normand was extremely helpful from the very beginning. He was willing to provide us with a new crib prior to our stay. It was perfect and we had peace of mind knowing our little one was safe and comfortable! The location of the apartment is ideal...away from the center of town - yet close enough to get there within minutes. The view is absolutely amazing. We all enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the boats enter the harbor nearby. The apartment provides everything needed to make your stay comfortable and the location is very quiet and relaxing. We highly recommend this property and have no hesitations about staying here - or at any of Normand's properties - in the future! We only wish we had one more week booked.

There are at least 16 "5 star " reviews of this property. If that doesn't say it all, then nothing will. It was fantastic. I couldn't stop taking pictures from the balcony. We had a car and I think that added to our enjoyment, plus we were there in May so the weather was perfect. Great super market at base of Blvd Mt. Boron. If you take the bus into town to have a late night in the old town, plan some extra money for a cab ride home. There was an excellent rock band at Wayne's Bar in old town. We enjoyed side trips to Monaco, Cannes, Eze, and St. Paul de Vence. If you like Eze, which is close by, you will love St. Paul de Vence, although it is farther away. A waterfront dinner in Villefranche-sur-mer (which is just around the peninsula) is a memorable experience. The view from the park above the apartment, just a short drive away, is amazing. Ma Nolan's Irish Pub on the east side of the port is a fun spot. I have a picture that was taken from the balcony of the apartment at sunset (by the owner, Normand) as my desk top on my computer..I can't stop thinking about how nice a time we had.

The apartment was better than we expected - even nicer than the photos and very clean. The view was magnificent. The instructions on how to get to the apartment were very good as were the instructions on using facilities in the apartment and accessing local shops/restaurants and public transport. I would highly recommend the apartment to anyone. It was the nicest accommodation we had in our six week European vacation. The only drawback was that public buses finish service at about 8:30pm so taxis or car are required to return later in the evening.

What a wonderful condo. The pictures do not do it justice. We opted to spend every evening cooking and eating dinner on the balcony as it far surpassed anything in town. It is a short drive to downtown and parking on the street is easy (1.3 euros per hour with 2 hour max) or plenty of garage parking for about 20 euros a day. Walking is easy if you are the athletic type as it is up a hill (ie the great views) It can be warm at night, but fans work well.

We stayed at the apartment late May/ early June 2010. Normand had posted the keys to us prior to our arrival so we didn't have to wait to be greeted. It was dark when we arrived & on opening up the shutters we were blown away by the lights & atmosphere of Nice laid out before us, like a vast model, you felt as if you could reach out & touch the ferries. The decor of the flat was excellent, with some lovely paintings adorning the walls.Everything you would need for a stay was there in the roomy kitchen. this also had an excellent view from a balcony. The only thing not connected was the English stations on the TV,this didn't prove to be a problem. We just sat on the balcony, glass in hand & relaxed taking in the view. There's always something happening in the Port. Normand even supplies a computer for the visitors use- this proved very handy. I could go on & on about this lovely apartment. We even extended our stay by another 3 nights. Having driven down it was reassuring to have the use of a decent parking space & a garage-rare in Nice. Beware it is high up on Mont Baron, so it can be quite a climb back up from the Port. There's an excellent supermarket at the end of the road-vital for all essentials. We arrived totally stressed & left well and truly chilled.Didn't really want to return home, part of our hearts have been left on Mont Boron. Would have no hesitation in returning or recommending this apartment. Do not pass over this place in your search, Normand has a true gem here. Treasure it.
Owner response:The english language chanels are now again available... So is the view....!

We just loved staying in this spectacular Nice apartment. The view is really to-die-for, and the apartment itself is extremely well set up. We loved cooking our own meals and sitting watching the sun setting from our own balcony. Normand was extremely helpful with all requests for information. We hope to one day return to this lovely place

Look no further. This is the perfect apartment for your vacation in Nice. Fabulous view from a charming, beautifully decorated apartment. The kitchen is fully stocked - Norman has thought of everything, from a fancy espresso machine, right down to aluminum foil. And there's a private garage for your rental car. What more could you want? Book now.

Belle Plaisance is a perfect place for two couples to enjoy and explore Nice and environs. The ideal location is quiet and ideally situated to be able to walk into central Nice (45 minutes) down to the harbour (1/2 hour) or down to the water for swimming (15 minutes). All of the ammenities such as shopping, bus and road connections are right at hand. The apartment has a stunning view, both day and night, from Ville Franche sur Mer as far over as Cap Antibes with the Alp Maritime hovering back behind the city. On the hottest days, there is still a delightful breeze over the balconies and the constant shade of the retractable awning, if desired. The apartment is in very good condition, with parquet floors, very comfy beds and plenty of space. The kitchen is a cooks delight, being extremely well appointed and outfitted to prepare just about anything you can think of (while looking out the kitchen balcony window at the sparkling Mediterranean.Normand was very helpful as a source of local knowledge and recommended a couple of excursions we likley would have missed otherwise.I highly recommend the Boron / Nice apartment and know you will enjoy your stay there.Stephen VaughanVancouver, British Columbia

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful apartment. It was well equipped and the view can only be described as "soul satisfying". Our only regret is that we did not book a longer stay. We hopefully will return again and again.
