Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2009
I am a retired manager and my wife is coming to the end of her teaching career. We have one daughter and one grandchild. We live in Ridgefield WA, just north of Vancouver. Our lives have always been active. We enjoy hiking, biking, golfing, nature photography, international travel, reading, gardening, and eating out.
Why the Owner Chose Eagle Crest
My wife and I have always appreciated the outdoor activities that living in the northwest provides. My parents retired to the Bend/Redmond area several years ago and we came to appreciate this area during our many visits with them. Having spent most of our lives living and enduring the rain in “the valley” we have especially appreciated the drier climate associated with the east side of the Cascade Mountains.
I particularly enjoy landscape photography and this area has amazing landscapes to shoot. We also love to golf and Central Oregon is one of America’s great golfing destinations with three great courses situated within the Eagle Crest Resort. We also enjoy biking and Eagle Crest Resort contains seemingly endless trails to explore.
This property is only three hours from home for us so it is easy for us to enjoy it for a weekend. The more time we spend in this area the more we appreciate all it has to offer. From the culture of Bend, to the quaintness of Sisters, to all of the amazing beauty and outdoor activities of Central Oregon…this really is an amazing place to experience. We would love to share this experience with you! Andy & Patty, Ridgefield, WA.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
We live on the rainy side of the Cascade Mountains so we especially appreciate the dry climate of Central Oregon. But this area is so much more than that for us. We are discovering our little haunts in the area. There are some amazing places to eat and tons of things to do. We have set up our condo to be as relaxing and user friendly as possible. It is the perfect weekend retreat for us. We are certain you will enjoy it as much as we do.

Spotless gem with great extras

My kids -- 17, 20 and 23 -- and I stayed at this immaculate condo for 3 summer nights and found it a perfect base of operations for all the great things we love doing in central Oregon, including hiking Black Butte and Smith Rock, exploring the Lava Caves and a couple of rounds of golf for the boys. Condo extras like a great array of DVD movies, beach towels, a well-stocked kitchen, a thick guidebook to the area, and (our favorite) a fabulous oversized hot tub for viewing the night stars made this place stand above the usual condo rentals, and the owners could not have been more pleasant and easy to deal with.

We were impressed with the comfort and sparkling cleanliness of this condo. The bikes we were invited to use were perfect. Our first trip to Eagle Crest and the owners were so pleasant to deal with; we'd definitely recommend this area of Eagle Crest, and this condo specifically.

We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying in your beautiful home at Eagle Crest. The condo was exactly as described in the ad. It was very clean and well furnished with comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen, and beach towels for the relaxing hot tub. We would definitely stay here again.

My family of four had a wonderful vacation and would highly recommend this condo. The owners are very nice to deal with and they have furnished the home with everything you would possibly need. We have rented several vacation homes over the years and these are the things that stood out about this house: The condo is nicely furnished and very clean. The furniture is comfortable and there is enough seating for everyone. The kitchen is well stocked with professional cookware. The beds are very comfortable and are made up with quality linens and cozy covers. There are many special touches like extra large beach towels for the hot tub, flat screen tv, coffee beans in the grinder for your first morning and the added bonus of a computer and wifi. I needed to wrap a gift while we were staying there and I even found scotch tape in a kitchen drawer!! We love to take the kids to Eagle Crest because there is so much for a family to do in the summer or winter so we like to visit a couple times a year. This house will definately be our first choice for all future visits to Eagle Crest!

I moved to Oregon from California and was put up at Eagle Crest for 2 months of corporate housing. This was the second unit at Eagle Crest that I stayed at (2 units each for one month) and was much more satisfied with my overall stay. The cleanliness and amenities far exceeded my stay at the first Eagle Crest unit. This condo has the warmth and cleanliness that I would expect in my own home and is easy to fall in love with. Everything from the towels to the linens to the bake ware are all top of the line. I was very appreciative to be set up with this condo and have already recommended it to my family out of state!

Our family of four spent 9 days in your condo and we loved it. Upon walking in the front door, I could hear the "oohs and ahhh's" from our daughters. The condo was immaculate, comfortable, well stocked and roomy. We had guests for dinner on several nights, and there was plenty of room for all. The extra touches were nice, coffee beans in the coffee grinder, plenty of dishes and kitchen tools, beach towels for the hot tub, DVD's, bicyles and a nice grill. We took good care of your condo, like it was our own home. We enjoyed the nearby walking/bicycle paths, tennis courts and other amenities that Eagle Crest offers. We would definitely like to stay there again when we come back to the area. Thank you for sharing your lovely condo!

This condo was by far one of the best ones we've stayed in. The homey comfortable furnishings and fantastic stocked kitchen were a super plus. Every morning we started our day in the hot tub and ended it the same way. The extra touches such as a phone, DVD's, and the beach towels were not only thoughtful but much appreciated. There's no question we are ready to come back!!!

My husband and I (with our two children) enjoyed our 4 nights recently in this condo. The pool and splash park was a short walk away, as were the tennis courts and access to the bike paths. The amenities in the condo were extensive - it is a very comfortable place to spend a vacation. The interior is immaculate and we were easily able to cook all three meals per day in the well-stocked and organized kitchen. We spent time in Sisters, Bend, and Sunriver during our stay and enjoyed the wonderful views of beautiful Central Oregon. We did a 5-mile nature walk along the Metolius River, with the starting point just past Black Butte and a short drive from the condo. There is so much to do in that portion of Oregon, the options are endless. However, I can recommend a comfortable stay in this condo for whatever type of vacation you are taking.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying here and wish we could have stayed longer. The condo is well furnished and easy to care for. The proximity to the closest outside pool and tennis courts was nice (just a short walk). It was cool in the evenings, which was the perfect time to enjoy the hot tub on the deck. We can't wait to go back again sometime!
