Why the Owner Chose Blairsville
We were "just looking" when we ran across this cabin. The minute we drove through the open wooden fence, we knew we "had to have it"! The place was not actually for sale at the time we found it. We arrived there at 10 a.m. and had made an offer by 12:00 p.m. The couple who owned the cabin decided that they would accept our offer, and move back to Florida ahead of schedule to be near their children, as they were getting on up in age!
After being at the cabin for a day I told my husband that we should definitely name it "Peaceful Creek Cabin"! He agreed! When you visit the cabin, and read comments from our guests, you will find that they also agree - most of them comment that we named the place perfectly because that's exactly what it is - "Peaceful Creek Cabin"!
When we are lucky enough to go to the cabin ourselves, it's usually to clean the yard, or check for things that may be broken, and fix them. We usually have to work, and don't have much time for relaxation. However, even work at the cabin is a pleasure for us - just being able to be there is great, and I always hate to leave!
I have been so pleasantly surprised at the gifts that some of our guests have left us! I've found signs, weather vanes, hanging decorations, and even a hand painted picture of the cabin yard! Awesome! I have met (over the phone) some of the nicest people ever! What began as a very big job to learn how to rent the cabin, has turned out to be such a pleasure because of the great people with which I have interacted!
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Coffee on the porch early in the morning, listening to nature and the creek. We also enjoy some frequent views of turkey and deer that slip out of the national forest and cross our property. The cabin is very easily accessible, near other people and town, but nicely secluded. We love to move the rocks around in the creek for different sounds in the creek, and to make small waterfalls. Children love to play with sticks and boats, floating in the creek, and also catching small trout and throwing them back! The cabin is at the end of the road, so there's no traffic to worry about as far as the children playing and running in the large front yeard.
We enjoy grilling a steak down by the creek on the charcoal grill, and eating on the picnic table there.
We have been very fortunate to have found several guests who return again and again because they appreciate the serenity and comforts of our "little piece of heaven"!

Just want to Let Jan and Reggie know how much we enjoyed our stay. We found the cabin to be very clean and to have everything you could want. It lived up to all the pictures and more. The creek with it's bubbling sounds and the shade trees made for very relaxing days.

We would like to recomend peaceful creek cabin to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. We have stayed there numerous times and with some luck we will stay there many more. Some of the attractions that we have enjoyed while staying at the cabin include, riverrafting on the chatooga river, horseback riding, miniature golf, trout fishing and brousing the antique shops in the area. The cabin is fully furnished very clean and the perfect getaway. One of our favorite things to do is to get up early in the morning and drink coffee on the screened in porch and listen to the sounds of the woods come to life. Another favorite of ours is to use the grill by the creek to cook the evening meal while listening to the gentle sounds of the creek. Any one who would truly like a peaceful time should consider, and compared to the other places we have stayed lately, the price is great. Enjoy, Ken and Leslie

Very Private cabin, yet close to town. The owner was great to talk with and made us feel very welcome for our stay here. Beautifully decorated and all you have to bring is your personal items. We loved that Vogel State Park is only about 10 minutes away from the Cabin. Great family spot!!! We had a great time here and plan on having many vacations for years to come. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

After seeing this place, we didn't need to look anymore - we saw it at 10 a.m. and had a contract at noon! It is just so unique, being close to town, yet so secluded. With the national forest behind it, and the large front yard, and of couse, the creek - we knew we wanted that place if at all possible!
