  We had a great trip. The house was comfortable for the 7 of us and we felt that the description of the house and amenities was accurate. It was in an ideal location for kids with a short walk to both ocean and bay kids beach and ice cream at Viking Village. In addition, we found the "local" neighbors to be really nice people. Having spent my childhood summers in Barnegat, it was nice to experience many of the same things that I did as a child with my own kids. Other then housing upgrades, nothing much has changed in Barnegat Light in the last 30 years and for us that was a good thing!

  Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway.

  We had a wonderful time with our three grandchildren. The house was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. This was a great house for kids - especially the grassy backyard!

  This house was very accurately portrayed on the listing and photos. The decor is cozy and pleasant, with comfortable beds and airy rooms. The kitchen is very well-equipped for home cooking; the living room area nicely furnished with inviting chairs/couches to lounge on. And the house is, as described, only a few blocks away from the beach. We had everything we desired while we were there, and the owners were helpful and accommodating. Our family of four (myself, husband, two teenage children)(and a mother-in-law for a few days, too) had a wonderful stay!

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

  We rented this house with my sister's family and had a nice, relaxing vacation over the 4th of July weekend/week. The description of the house is accurate and kid-friendly. The deck and the BBQ out front are great for laid back lunches/dinners with the kids. The outdoor shower was also a bonus - we didn't track sand all over the house. We loved how the house is within walking distance to Viking Village. Families with young kids should be aware that the house is one (fairly long) block away from the beach - you have to cross a 2 lane road/"highway", but the drivers tend to slow down to let you cross. Also, the beach is pretty wide, so once you get there, you have to trek to get close to the water. One other note - the loft room is directly outside of the master bedroom so the person staying there needs to use the bathroom inside the master bedroom (the Master Bath could use a little updating). For a 4th of July weekend, Barnegat Light was quiet and relaxing - we even got a glimpse of fireworks from the deck. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend renting this house!

  My family and I rented your house two times in the past through a realtor and didn't realize that you were still renting it out until seeing this add. Glad to see it is still available for renters - not many places on the island are as well maintained as yours.

  Great beach house for any family. Perfect fit for young kids. We spent a week in September with our pre-schooler and infant, and were very pleased with the comfortable and clean and spacious accomodations. While very kid- friendly, the modern ammenities makes it feel like home. Happy to know we didn't have to pack every piece of baby gear. Easy walking distance to beach, kid bay beach and local attractions. Owners were a pleasure to deal with.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

  We rented this house with another family - and three kids in total. It was great! We could walk to both the bay beach and ocean beach, and the house was totally equipped with kids cups and plates, toys, and high chairs. Was so nice to relax in a place where we weren't worried about the kids destroying things -totally kid friendly. And the front deck was a great place for dinner after the kids went to bed. Would highly recommend this home.

  Highly recommended beach rental in an excellent location. Clean and well-maintatined. Very friendly and helpful owners. In season, be sure to try Off the Hook, take out gourmet food, just around the corner and few blocks North.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.
