Great comfy home! Loved the location - relax by the river, cook on the grill or walk to nearby restaurants. Great day trip sights & activities. Quiet town on weekdays but hopping with visitors during Labor Day Weekend art show. Wonderful place to stay!

Cute little cabin right on the Crystal river. It was nice to sit and have a glass of wine after a day of hiking and watch the water flow past. Btw...there is wonderful hiking in the area! This place has a very nice w/d setup too. The town of Redstone is a good place to stay. Not far from Marble, Carbondale, Glennwood Springs or Aspen. The very pretty and historic Redstone Inn is a great place for meals if you don't feel like cooking and it's just a 1.5 minute walk from this cabin. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay.

If the pursuit of or devotion of pleasure is in your makeup you must stay, as guests, with Bob and Deb McCormick at their Charming Ice House located in Downtown Redstone, Colorado. We spent two nights in their Ice House as a part of our Golden Wedding Anniversary Celebration,a magical time in Redstone, full of beautiful Alpine valley scenery, quaint historical swiss styled cottages, and fresh mountain air for pleasant walks. The Ice house built for storing Ice for the early residents in 1902 has been artfully and tastefully remodeled to include a fully equipped kitchen, a very pleasant family room and a spacious bedroom in a loft area. The bedroom has one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on which was a real bonus. Each night we were serenaded by the sound of the Crystal River within a stones throw of the house; quite relaxing indeed. From the deck outside the bedroom, we were able to get a panoramic view of a heaven full of stars, and while standing there with a glass of wine sharing our rapture, we could feel the soul of God's Creation and majesty. In the morning we awoke to fresh coffee which tasted even better as we watched the antics of a pair of Canadian Geese and a small doe deer running through the property. We especially enjoyed the last night, when after the celebration ended, we were able to sit quietly without distraction and reminisce over the events of the day while remembering those special people who made our lives so wonderful. Regretfully, we had to leave this tranquil place, but our special times will be only a memory away. Without a doubt our intense joy was aided immensely by those quiet nights and wondrous sights we witnessed at the Ice House. We are checking our calendar for a revisit in the near future. We will never forget Redstone.

I've had the opportunity to stay in the Ice House twice - once in winter and once in summer. It's a spacious, charming, well-appointed spot well-suited for one person or a couple. Owners are very accommodating and pleasant. It's right in the heart of Redstone so perfect for strolls up and down the avenue or longer hikes and meals at the Inn. Full kitchen in case you'd rather eat in. Only drawback is the lack of a phone which is significant since there is no cell phone signal in Redstone. Owners do provide free Internet access however. Fairly slow but the best that's available in this quaint vacation town.

We just recently stayed a this house in Redstone for a long weekend. The owner Bob was a delight to work. The house is immaculate, has prime location and we couldn't have asked for more. The house has great amenities, is well decorated and very comfortable. We could not have asked for a more beautiful place to stay. We had such a great time at the house and we defiantly plan on returning in the near future.

I enjoyed my stay here with friend last month. the house is just like it looks in the picture. It is very comfortable and cosy. Everything is new and it is well stocked in both kitchen and bathroom areas. I would stay here again and would recommend it to friends. T he backs up to the Crystal River and is centrally located in Redstone.

We had a wonderful stay in this charming house in Redstone. The house is exactly as advertised- cute, cozy, comfortable and very clean and well maintained. Wonderful front porch for watching the world go by (slowly) and balcony off the bedroom upstairs for glass of wine, stargazing and watching the river running through the back of the property. Dog friendly too. Owners were friendly and helpful. Redstone is in a beautiful area- lots of hiking and nice walks. We took a tour of Redstone Castle, looked for elk and the hotsprings off Hwy 133 (near Avalanche Creek), puttered around town, and took some wonderful hikes. Dinner at the Inn was very good. Bring groceries etc. little general store in town, but nearest supermarket in Carbondale. Very relaxing getaway- would definitely stay again. Thanks Bob! Elisabeth, Denver CO

We came to Colorado for the mountains, and chose to stay at the ice house for its undeniable 'cute' factor, but mainly because it has a beautiful river running right through the property! The house is exactly as described, fully equipped, spotlessly clean, with many new additions such as washer and dryer (with a baby this was a must!), recently renovated bathroom, shower and kitchen. The new mattress is comfortable and drinking coffee on the upstairs balcony was a beautiful way to start the morning. The owners were very friendly and were willing to help with whatever we required- whether that was a can opener, fly fishing equipment, or the name of an amazing masseuse. As we stayed for five weeks we were able to really get a feel for friendly nature of the town and its people. Must do's while in the area - Visit the Redstone General Store for an incredible (and HUGE) icecream, take a tour of the Redstone Castle, eat breakfast (by the river) at the cafe next door, go on a hike to see the beautiful wildflowers, visit the farmers markets in Carbondale and Glenwood Springs, eat a hamburger at Woodys Tavern on the way to Aspen, swim in the Glenwood Hot Springs pool..... and more! Thank you so much for an amazing getaway..... we'll be back!!!! Maybe in winter next time!!!
