I spent 3 weeks in June at this rental with two granddaughters (one was attending SF Ballet). It is a delightful house, filled with wonderful art. It was within easy walking distance of trains and buses, which we used to travel all over San Francisco. I would recommend this rental to anyone.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.
Owner response: It was such a pleasure having you and your granddaughters! We love that you were able to take this trip together and that you were comfortable and enjoyed our house and San Francisco. Thank you for all your nice comments and please come again! Carol

My sister and I rented this house for the month of May and it was better than we expected. It is a spacious space and the large old-fashioned kitchen was particularly to our liking - along with the adjoining sun-room nook with table and chairs. The property was clean and well-maintained with everything you would need to start with including every possible dish, pot, and pan. It is very convenient to the Muni that goes directly downtown in about twenty minutes. We particularly enjoyed walking up the nearby mosaic covered steps two blocks from the house and walking further to the areas with coffee shops and bakeries. I would highly recommend this house to people who like older, artsy places. The owners were very reliable and communicative - easy to talk to.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.
Owner response: thank you, Heidi, for your nice comments. I am so glad you and your sister enjoyed your stay in our house and your visit to San Francisco. please come again!

Thanks so much for the use of your house! The breathtaking views, especially at night, made it seem like all of western San Francisco and the Pacific Ocean was part of the house! Best, AllanDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

About the owner: David & Carol Kuraoka, artists, who live and work in San Francisco and Kauai.
Why the Owner Chose Inner Sunset:
We enjoy living in San Francisco when David is teaching at SFSU. When he is not teaching, we live at our other home in Hawaii.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
San Francisco is such a beautiful city. When we are here we enjoy the views and, perhaps most of all, the wonderful food. We never tire of looking at the city, admiring the neighborhoods and the architecture. Living near Golden Gate Park is a pleasure for the beauty of the park itself and for the de Young Museum, the Glass House of Flowers and the Academy of Sciences. We can easily get to anywhere in SF from our home, using public transportation like the muni buses, the Judah streetcar and driving.
