Nice Condo, but Noise 24/7
Nice Condo, but Noise 24/7

The owners have done a very nice job in renovating this condo. High ceilings create a very nice atmosphere. The kitchen looks brand new and has a large countertop to prepare meals and eat dinner. However, it is located at an incredibly busy intersection -- buses, motorcycles, garbage trucks at night. The noise never stops. I found it impossible to sleep thru the night. I rented this condo for 11 days and checked into a hotel after 7 days.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This apartment is perfect for a stay in Buenos Aires. We had such an amazing time staying here and would definitely stay here again! The apartment is super spacious and open with a lot of natural light (the huge, high ceilings felt very New York loft). Renting vs a hotel made us feel like we were living in Buenos Aires, rather than just visting. It's in a great location, too. It's on a main corner so grocery, drugstores and banks (and homemade empanadas) are right outside the door. Plaza Serrano (bars, restaurants, art fairs and people watching) is a few blocks walk and most importantly our favorite restaurant we found, La Cabrera, was only 5 minutes walk. If you take cabs, it's on a main street, which means cabs are everywhere. We are city people and by staying here we got a much more authentic feel. We loved to open the great big windows and feel the life of Buenos Aires. There were black-out shades to keep the light out at night. The owner Bartow was super helpful, responsive, and answered all of our questions about the city, arrival, etc., and he set us up with his recommended driver for reliable transit from and to the airport. I definitely suggest this apartment to anyone visiting!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I stayed at the loft for about two weeks and it was the perfect location and situation for me. The loft is in Palermo with also easy access to shopping on Cordoba and Corrientes. It is extremely easy to get a taxi or city bus from directly outside the building. I could be at Casa Rosado in less than 30 minutes. Inside the loft is amazing. It is really nice to come home at the end of the day of sightseeing and wonderful restaurants nearby to this spacious and tastefully decorated apartment. A lot of thought went into the design. The master bedroom has a great bed and lots of storage space for hanging your clothes. The kitchen has a huge center island modern system. The super high ceilings give a feeling of openness, and the big windows give the prefect vista to look out onto the skyline of Buenos Aires! It's on a somewhat busy street, but this is part of the appeal of soaking up all the character of Buenos Aires. The apartment has lovely hardwood floors and even a wood stove for winter - though I can't imagine needing it :) . The A/C keeps the loft cool in the summer, and the big windows let in the cool night breezes from the ocean. The bathroom is a modern sleek design with an old clawfoot bath tub incorporated into the shower for character. I will definitely be back when I am in Buenos Aires again!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: Hi. Thanks for taking a look at our condo! No matter where you stay you're going have an amazing time in Buenos Aires! Of course we hope you stay at and enjoy our condo. My fiancée and I both work in the entertainment industry in New York City. I’m a producer and she’s an attorney. We live in DUMBO, Brooklyn with our Boston Terriers. We're both from Charlotte, NC but actually met at a party in NYC. We try to get down to Argentina as much as we can!
Why the Owner Chose Palermo Soho:
Many of the same things that drew us to New York led us to Buenos Aires- the energy, the food, the culture. Originally we went there on vacation, but quickly found ourselves smitten with the unique vibe of a city that melds both Europe and South America. We could see ourselves enjoying the city and exploring the rest of the country (and continent). Before we knew it we owned a beautiful apartment and have been renting it since. The apartment offers a modern take on the city’s gorgeous historical residences. It’s open, airy and a great place enjoy a glass of wine as the city beckons you for more.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
You are in Palermo Soho a short walk from some of the best restaurants (dont miss La Cabrera), shopping and galleries the city has to offer. I’ve been in many apartments in the city and open and light filled spaces are not common. There is something very exciting about being in a big corner loft three floors above the sounds and lights of the city.
