We recently took our family of 5, which includes 3 teenagers, to CB for a ski vacation. I wanted to stay somewhere special, but I couln't have imagined how perfect this house would be. The views are simply amazing! The location was perfect. Very private, but blocks from everywhere. The house is set up so well, allowing enough space for privacy and noise reduction, but having a large, warm area for entertaining. We have alot of family and friends in CB, and it was wonderful to have a large kitchen, with lots of seating. We cooked every night, and had lots of visitors. The hot tub and steam shower were a big hit, and the perfect end to a long day of skiing. The house is perfect, but the owners and managers are the reason we would come back again and again. First Class!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I have been a fan and frequent visitor of the mountain while my daughter went to school in Gunnison. My husband and I decided to take our combined families, including grandchildren, to CB and found this house online, (we also have VRBO properties). The home was even better than anticipated. Location was great, just a few blocks from the “town shuttle” and easy walking distance to shops, and restaurants....be sure to get your coffee and breakfast goodies at Camp 4 Coffee...best in town and on the mountain too! House was FULLY equipped , clean and cozy. Even though it was below zero outside, the heated floors kept us comfortable all the time and owner called to make sure all was well. Unless our family grows, we will return to this great house.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This home exceeded our expectations. Not only was it beautiful and comfortable, it included all the amenities we needed and more. The property managers made sure the walkways were clear despite the four feet of snow and greeted us with a loaf of cinnamon bread. The view of Mt. Crested Butte provides many photo opportunities. For families with children, there is a playground across the street.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

After losing our middle brother unexpectedly last summer, we decided a trip for the 3 families, which includes the 6 sons and daughters of me and my 2 brothers was needed. We all arrived Christmas day and had an incredible 4 days skiing, nosing around town and relaxing in this incredibly family oriented house. The combination of easy walk to the bus, easy walk to historic Elk Ave, clear view over the town soccer fields and park to Mt. Crested Butte, hot tub and tremendous family/eating/kitchen area on the 2nd level made this ideal for our group of 11. All of us kept remarking the entire trip how perfect this house was and ABSOLUTELY NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS!!! If we went back to Crested Butte again as a group, we would not even look for another place if 730 Maroon was available. There were many personal items of the Reddings at the house, especially family photos, that makes it feel like you are borrowing a house from a family friend. The property managers, Jake and Courtney, showed up on our first day with fresh bread. Then, right after a 14" snowfall, they were there on our departure date shoveling snow to make sure we could get out. Both me and my brother have a good bit of background in design and construction. The craftsmanship on this house is superb from radiant heat floors with individual room thermostats to the walnut floors and cabinet doors/faces to the full house sound system. Thanks to them and the Reddings for a fantastic place to stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Wow!! What can I say!! We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas vacation 2010 in this fantastic home. My husband and I, along with our two sons, one complete with a daughter in law and two grandchildren, and the other son, complete with a girlfriend, stayed in this home five nights. The location of the house is perfect. It has an unbelievable view of Mt. Crested Butte and only a short walk to the bus stop for a trip to the mountain or a short walk right into town for shopping or indulging in one of the many restaurants options. The bedding in this home is very good for a good night's rest. The home has a lovely large den and comfortable seating for a big group of people with breathtaking outside views all around. The radiant heating in this home is amazing and the steam shower is "to die for"!! This home was a perfect fit for our multi-dimensional family. To make the trip especially special...our youngest son proposed to his girlfriend right there in the big middle of the den floor!! We definitely hope to be back to spend more time in this home next year....the Good Lord willing!! Thank you Scott Redding!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
