Property is located in the center of the resort and is house number 4. It is conveniently located to the chapel, petting zoo, boat docking, swimming pool and spa. It is a two story unit. The master bedroom has a king size bed, the second bedroom has two new queen size beds and and a queen size sleeper sofa which is located in the downstairs den. There is a large screen TV in the master bedroom and also TV's in the second bedroom and den.
The open front porch has a rocker and swing and the back porch is screened and offers outdoor table and chairs, with a charcoal grill outside the door. Parking is located in the front and back of this unit for 4 vehicles. Full bath is located upstairs and half bath downstairs. The house is furnished with everything you need. Overall we were very happy with the house. We were trying to save money, and can't beat the price, but with 8 people (2 were kids), it was a bit tight, but if you're not spending too much time inside, it doesn't matter anyhow. Would've been perfect size for a family of 4. The house has some nice upgrades and was very clean. The kitchen is quite small, but well equipped with nice appliances and granite counters, but definitely more suited for 1 cook in the kitchen :) House is adorable, and location is perfect. Sizes of rooms is really nice, although, the beds in the 2nd bedroom were extremely squeaky - so much so that it was hard to move without a squeak, and when sharing a room with others, can make for a noisy night. Didn't hear any complaints from our friends in the master. Fortunately I had my earplugs. So my only complaint would be that, the ad says new mattresses, yet the ones in the 2nd bedroom seemed well worn, and as mentioned extremely squeaky. Loved having the porches to be able to sit outside with a cup of coffee, and wish we had a longer stay since the community has so much to offer.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My family,Husband,daughter,son in law and our 14 month old granddaughter just loved this place. Having a small one we did not know how it would work out.But there was so much for her to do like the petting area,and THE POOL...she loved this.We took turns going scalloping while the other stayed and went playing in the pool with the baby.The house had everything loved having a washer and dryer there it helped alot with the baby.We grilled out every night and ate on the screen in porch.Took nice walks every night very nature looking.We loved it so much we have booked our week for next year already.....Did you find this review helpful? Had a great time with 6 of us. Plenty of things to do and great restaurants nearby. Owners made sure we had everything we needed and some. Now they've updated with all new appliances we can't wait to get back with the boats and do some fishing.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

What an awesome place to get away and relax. Well above average from our experience with rentals, owner is very attentive and wants to make sure you enjoy your stay. Beautifully appointed house with all the amenities. Even our dog had a great time! Don't pass on this one!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.

What a fabulous place! My two girlfriends and I spent five days here and it couldn't have been better. The cottage was adorable, well stocked, clean and the ambiance was great. We just wanted a place to relax and this was it. We had so much fun feeding the donkeys and collecting fresh eggs from the hens. The owners could not have been more helpful and told us about some really good places to eat. We loved Steinhatchee and can't wait to go back for another visit at this wonderful place! About the owner: We love Steinhatchee and have other properties here for our personal use. We love to fish and found Steinhatchee offers the best fishing and scalloping in Florida. Currently we reside in Crystal River, Florida, after retiring from a veterinarian practice in Norcross, Ga in 2011.
Why the Owner Chose Steinhatchee:
I visited Steinhatchee for years before I purchased my first property. When I decided to buy, The' Landing Resort' was the most desirable location with the most amenities. It is a very quiet and restful place to retreat after a busy week of work. Sitting on the front or back porch and watching the people, feeding the animals, or talking to the friendly people is what I enjoyed the most. I lived in thisl until I bought a log cabin and decided to put the Landing house in the rental pool. In January 15, 2010, I removed the unit from the rental pool and decided to rent it out myself at a more reasonable rate. We wanted everyone to be able to affford to bring their families here and have a good time.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our unit is close to the water and a complimentary boat slip is included in the rental fee. This is a plus because boat docking is expensive and hard to find during scallop season or the busy fishing season. A well lighted fish/ scallop cleaning station is available on the property. You will find information in the unit on local marinas, public boat ramps and restaurants. The house has a well equipped kitchen, quality linens and all the comforts of home. Kayaks and canoes can be rented at the property office and transportation up the river can be arranged. Horseback riding is available across the river. We can arrange off shore grouper fishing trips or scallop trips if you desire. Also be sure you bring food to feed the ducks, rabbits, goats and chickens! (carrots, apples etc) The Wedding Chapel is also available to rent for your wedding ceremony. WiFi is offered in this unit!! Free long distance until Aug 15, 2012. Kayaks can also be rented from Riverhaven Marina. They will transport the kayaks up river to the Steinhatchee Falls for your site seeing trip down the beautiful Steinhatchee River. You can bring your own bike or rent one from the office. Our house is pet friendly for your well mannered pet with a $20 pet fee.
