  I was in San Diego to take some educational courses over a six week period and brought my Mom along, also making it a family vacation. I couldn't be happier with the condo and my experiences while staying there. The owner, Phillip was very accommodating and helpful with advice about the local attractions and information on the local shops and malls. If ever we needed anything, Phillip was more than happy to help us. The condo is clean, quiet and located centrally to major roadways, so finding our way to San Diego's tourist destinations was very easy. The gated condo community itself is beautiful! They have lovely pathways with ponds and fountains, a swimming pool and playground area. Mom and I felt comfortable and safe. Rancho Bernardo is a truly beautiful area. The suite has all major appliances, so being able to cook and having private laundry facilities in the condo made our stay very comfortable and affordable. If you are driving or renting a car, I believe there are two parking stalls, one we used for our rental car was covered and very close to the front door-- super convenient. The furnishings and decor was lovely, very inviting and comfortable. It truly was a feeling of being a "home" away from home; I couldn't be more pleased about this condo suite. Thank you to Phillip for our wonderful stay in San Diego. I can't recommend staying at this condo enough; I'm actually kind of missing it.

  I've stayed in 8 different VRBO properties in the last 2 years and I gotta say this one is one of the best! First of all, Phillip made sure all questions were answered very promptly which assured me that renting his place would be fine. The location is very convenient to the freeway as well as the grocery store, etc. This place has all the amenities including a nicely stocked kitchen complete with foil & plastic wrap for leftovers (you can save a ton of money by cooking some of your meals), even charcoal for the community bbq!! There were 4 of us staying at the condo and there was plenty of room. It's situated on the ground floor which certainly made it easy for us to bring in our luggage. My folks are in their 80's so this also worked perfectly -- no stairs!. (BTW, Phillip, my mom is still raving about your place and she, too, has stayed in many of the same VRBO's that I have. She's been telling everyone about how great your place is!)

  This was the second time in two years we stayed at this condo. I have nothing but good to say about the property. It was clean, quiet all the time, and very safe. My both kids enjoyed the big TV, When we visit San Diego area this property will be our first choice.

  The condo was just what we were looking for . Close to san diego attractions, north county beaches and truly a home away from home. Would recommend again.

  It was one of my best stay in San Diego. Great location, extremly clean, reasonable priced, best management. The entire family came over with little kid. We will come back and stay again.

  We found Philip very helpful. Philip made sure that all the things we asked for were available to us. The condo was situated in an ideal location close to I-15, making it very easy to get to points of interest. We love to golf, and their were a number of nice golf courses within easy access. We also liked being on the first floor. I do think that an area rug in living room would make the place have a warmer feel. Also, the beds in the quest bedroom are too low and new mattresses are needed. We also did have a problem with obtaining our mail from home which was worrisome for us.

  Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, pet owners.

  Owner response: Patrick, thank you for choosing our condo for your recent stay and keeping it clean. Concerning the beds in the guest room...since over half of our guests staying at our condo are small family with young children, we choose a lower bed so that it will be easier for the kids. Our twin mattress is relatively new, and our full bed is topped with 4" a down/memory foam layer to give it more comfort. We have not had any issues with the mattresses from our previous guests...but thank you for bringing it to our attention. As for the mail...since the guest's name do not match the condo owner's name, the post office did not deliver the mail due to security reason. This issue is out of our control. Hope you would understand. Thanks again for your suggestions and we will defintely keep that in mind.

  Phillips Condo is a great place to stay for a family with one or two children. Lots of great livible space and all the utensils you need. It is located about 25 min. from the beaches and attractions eg. zoo & sea world. It is a bit of a stretch to disneyland about 1:20 on a good day. We will stay here again when in the San diego area.

  Thanks for the wonderful experience! The condo is super clean and convenient. It has all the amenities that we needed and more. We stayed for a week (family of 5 with 3 teenagers) and ate a lot of our meals there and it had all the cookware that we needed. It's location is very convenient to all the major attractions in the area. Philip was very helpful and provided all the information that we needed to make this a great vacation spot. Thanks again Phillip! We would certainly recommend your place to anyone visiting the Escondido area!

  What a wonderful stay we had at Phillip's and Maggie's condo! We stayed for a week, and everything was provided so that we felt just like home; and that's really a big help when you travel with two young children! Phillip was very responsive to our questions. We had a few things to ask him throughout our stay, he emailed back right away, with the answer to our question or problem! We can't wait to come back to San Diego and to stay at your place again! Thanks for everything!

  My daughter, her husband and her 2 young boys stayed with me in the condo. Thus 3 generations! The kitchen was well stocked with not only pots and pans but also some every day condiments and cleaning supplies so we did not have to buy everything to use for just a few days. We found the location to be convenient to the highway and then on to the beaches and Sea World. Beds were comfortable and the condo was clean. Worked very well for the 5 of us! We did BBQ and cooked at home so did not try any of the local restaurants. And the children enjoyed the playground and pool. Was great to have it all right there. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms would help during the warmer, summer months. We would recommend this to others.
