Perfect house for family get together

Our family of 10 people spent the Thanksgiving weekend at this great house. The highlight is the octagonal ktichen, where we usually congregated. It is a gourmet kitchen and we had a perfect thanksgiving dinner. The property is lovely and we had ideal weather. Three different porches offered varied views. I would recommend this house to anyone.

12 friends and I just returned from the loveliest weekend. The house is huge and airy and clean with a lot of charm. The kitchen feels truly 'professional' (wasted on us a bit since we're amateur cooks at best). Huge property, horses and dogs all over the place. A perfect country retreat for a bunch of cooped up New Yorkers. It didn't hurt that the weather was gorgeous, bright and a little cool, but had it been rainy we would have been cozy in the house or gone on misty hike. Pool is big-- you could swim real laps in it.

Our group of six rented this house over the weekend one perfect weekend in July. Everything about the house was as described. We loved cooking in the huge and well appointed kitchen, and the outdoor grill was top of the line as well. Most of our time was spent at the lovely pool, which has its own pool house with a mini-fridge, stereo with ipod hookup and bathroom, so you really can spend the whole day up there comfortably. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained, and my little dog loved running around the pond leash-free, which is a treat for any city dog. The property managers were great to work and always available to answer any questions we had. I would definitely rent this place again without hesitation.

We were ten people of one same family and we stayed for two weeks. Everything was perfect and we had such a good time, even when the snow showed up hard. We highly recommend the house.

We stayed here for August 2009 and August 2010. The house and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. It is in a great location, close to town yet secluded and quiet. The listing description and photos are accurate but can't possibly do the whole property justice. We spent most of our time in the AWESOME pool. The kids attended camps nearby. Lots of great family friendly restaurants in town. I would certainly recommend this house.
