  When I first discovered this vacation home online, I was a little leary...it sounded wonderful, but then again, it was an advertisement. Most of the time photo ads give you the perfect scenario but seldom live it to your expectations. After talking this over with my wife and 2 teenage sons, we decided to give it a chance. The owners were very courteous and professional, which gave me more confidence in this endeavor before we arrived. We all loved the idea of our own private pool and whirlpool in a private back yard, but I was concerned about how clean these facilities would be. Our stay was for the first week in August, '08. We arrived to find the entire house including the pool facilities clean, orderly, with all amenties a family would need. We were VERY impressed, since the description of the property matched expectations...and then some. We found the house very spacious and very livable. The surrounding neighborhood was quiet clean and safe. We thought the location was perfect, since it was an 8-10 minute drive to the beach...and with quick access to major freeways to travel north or south. Over all this property did not feel like a "vacation" home, it felt like we were staying at a friends home while they were away! I would highly recommend this to families, to tourists, to anyone who wants a "step up" from any hotel you will find. My family liked it so much, we've already booked a week to stay here this summer once again!!

  This Place was GREAT! and this house has everything... I grew up in Huntington Beach... and this House is like coming home! The house is about a 12 minute drive to the Beach/Pier... we normally spend our days at the beach and afternoons by the Pool!! Just the perfect amount of Sun on the Pool in the late afternoons... The Kitchen is a good size and has all you need! the Pool area is great for hanging out and grilling in the afternoons.... the House is great for having kids, families and friends....lots of room!!! The neighborhood is clean, safe and super quiet!! Good if you like to take a morning walk! We love this house so much.... we will be spending our 3rd Summer Vacation 2013 Here!!! We cant wait!!!

  Our stay at Fountain Valley was ideal. The house was very clean and comfortable and spacious, and the pool was brilliant. We stayed in every other day to make full use of the pool and upgrade our tan! It was situated within easy driving distance of shops, restaurants and Newport and Huntington Beaches. Disneyland was also easy to get to, and it was nice to get back to the house to relax and swim when we had a hectic day out! Our teenagers liked their own rooms to chill out with their computers(!) while we just hung out on the patio. We all loved the house and would definitely like to stay there again, it was like home from home - but more glamorous!

  House and vacation is just what we needed! On our week long stay we had time to relax, swim, head to the beach and the convenience of this house was excellent! This annual trip is looked forward to each and every year and this house provided everything we needed. The neighborhhood was also very nice and quiet. There was enough room for us to spread out and still be very comfortable. This trip was planned to relax and recharge as we all needed it. I grew up very near Fountain Valley and come back often to go the beach and Orange County Swap Meet so we are familiar with the area and attractions. We have been to all the amusement parks and attractions at some point the the recent past so coming here to just "be" and not having to be on the run 24/7 was so fabulous. The pool was great, everything we needed was readily available. I would highly recommend this house!

  We have stayed in this fun home several times. Every time we have stayed there, this is why we returned, it has been consistenly clean and organized and ready for us on time. The location is perfect, on a quiet street, with a beautiful yard and great swimming pool. The kitchen is well appointed and doesn't lack for a thing. The beach is close, as are so many other attractions. We love going to the Orange County Swap Meet and that is close by too. The beds are really comfortable, that is important to our family. The owners have furnished their home with lovely furniture. It is a joy to stay there. We would recommend this home to a couple or a big family, there is something for everyone in this home. We just wish we had more time to stay there, we could stay a month and never tire of this terrific home. Thanks for sharing your home with us, we love it and will return.

  My family had a very enjoyable vacation in Southern California, and the rental home was perfect! The children loved swimming in the beautiful pool, while my husband and I were able to relax in the connecting spa. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood and was immaculate. We had plenty of room, very nice kitchen that looks out to the pool area, well decorated, looks like there were several recent upgrades, especially the upstairs bathroom. Nice big bonus room upstairs. The location was great, within easy driving distance to the beach, Disneyland, and in a good location between San Diego and Hollywood/LA. There are many restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The owners were very accessible and happy to answer all the questions I had. I would definitely recommend this rental to a friend or anyone looking to stay in a rental home in Southern CA. My kids are already planning to return for next year's vacation!

  We are repeat guests at this home and have absolutely loved every stay. We have come and stayed with our grandchildren, attended our son's wedding and done some sight seeing. We find this home to be very comfortable and accommodating for all of us ranging in age from 2-60 years old. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the many rooms providing private spaces for all of our family. The family room above the garage with it's own bathroom and bedroom is perfect for those in our family that have young children and don't wish to disturb the rest of us early in the morning. Disneyland and the surrounding areas are close. We have always had a rental car and this made going to the beach and sightseeing possible. The house was clean, well equipt and very comfortable. We have a grandson and a grown son that have severe allergies. Neither one of them has ever had any problem during their stay in this home. The owners were very accessible and open in answering any questions that arose during our stay. We hope to return many times in the future! We love our home away from home! Valerie & Bruce

  Our experience at this house was mixed. The owners were very pleasant to deal with and our deposit cheque was returned promptly, however we did have issues with the cleanliness of the property. From the moment we stepped in the door I could smell dust. The furnishings are quite dated and not very comfortable. The pillows and throw on the sofa in the kitchen were tattered. I took pictures of the grime on the microwave vents and large dead bugs amongst the dust on the floor in the laundry room (but its separated from the living area of the house) The kitchen looks nice but a "gourmet kitchen" should really have some decent pots and pans and a real knife or two for cutting. The garborator didn't work, and they had plastic patio chairs at the kitchen table. We didn't see a vacuum and the brooms that were there were very old and ratty and felt full of grime. The upstairs bathroom was very nice and new looking but the ensuite looked like they had put some money into it but didn't quite finish it off. It was also very loud in the am and you could hear everything outside. All in all, with 3 kids ranging in age from 3.5 - almost 13, it was better than being cooped up in a hotel but we won't rent this property again. The kids didn't really care about the dust and grime and loved having the pool to swim in everyday. The house is well situated and it was easy enough for us to We went to Disneyland, Universal, toured Hollywood, hit a couple of the beaches briefly as it was too cold to stay for very long, and went to Medival Times. We had a great vacation and loved everything we did and all of the places we went. One of the best restaurants close to Disneyland was Joe's Crab Shack. There was an outdoor playground for the kids and the wait staff sang and danced for fun... food was terrific too. if you are going to stay here though you will need a car.

  Owner response: As an owner, I am distressed to hear the comments by this reviewer. We are taking immediate steps to correct any of the perceived housekeepoing problems, even though this is the first time any of our previous renters have ever cited cleanliness as an issue in this house. None of these problems were reported to us by the above renter so we could address them at the time. Our house instructions state clearly that we are always available by house phone for this purpose. There are two vacuums in the cleaning closet. The washer and dryer are in a section of the garage. The kitchen waste disposal ("garborator") was working after they left and has not been reported as broken since then. If they had called us we would have told them about the "reset button". We will take inventory of kitchen equipment. This house has been completely upgraded/remodeled, in and out. The "dust smeling" is a mystery to us. But it's possble there may be some "still-surfacing" residual dust from new drywall sanding on a small section of ceiling. If so, we'll certainly correct this. The pool was just re-plastered and re-tiled. The neighborhood is quiet except in the morning as children are delivered to a nearby school during the school year. We sincerely hope this review will not discourage future rental possibilities and we commit to cooperate in any way to please and insure our guests' comfort and satisfaction. Regards. Mary & Andy

  This house is exactly what the ad says about it. Sometimes a picture don't tell the truth, but about this place it sure does. A very good choice.
