Avalon is a coveted, quiet beach resort in south Jersey. It is located on Seven Mile Island along with Stone Harbor to the south. The house is located 1 ½ blocks from Townsend's Inlet separating Avalon and Sea Isle City. It is 1 block from the 8th or 9th street beaches. The fishing jetty is 1 ½ block stroll. This is an excellent area to bird watch and on a clear night, see the lights of Atlantic City. Avalon’s public baseball fields, tennis courts and children’s playground are 2 blocks away. A 3 star restaurant is ½ block away. It’s a great BYOB dining experience. On July 4th, you can see the fireworks from Atlantic City, Ocean City, Sea Isle, Wildwood, Stone Harbor and Avalon from the third floor deck!
This unit sleeps 10 easily. First floor has 2 bedrooms, each with sliding doors onto 1st floor deck. The second floor deck shades the 1st floor deck. Both bedrooms have 2 twins. Full laundry and full bath are also on 1st floor.
Second floor has kitchen, dining area, great room and 2 sets of sliding doors to 2nd floor deck. Most of this deck is in full sun with a portion shaded by the 3rd floor deck. Also on this floor is a master bedroom with a queen bed and adjoining full bath.
Third floor loft opens over 2nd floor great room. Loft area has game table, sofa bed and chairs. Third floor also has a master bedroom with queen bed and adjoining full bath. This master bedroom has a private deck in full sun with an unobstructed view of the inlet and views of the ocean.
We are a PET FRIENDLY rental home. Small pets only. Pet fee is $150. Refundable security deposit is $300.

Property is dated and needs upgrading. Handy to beach but nothing else. Must drive to any shops/restaurants. Amenities are limited. One small TV, no WIFI, no grill. No cushions for deck furniture. Parking is limited. There are much better values to be had.
Owner response:We've been renting our home in Avalon for 14 years and have never had a negative review. Unfortunately, this negative review comes from a renter that did not receive all of his security returned because the house was not left in a condition suitable for the next renters. His security was reduced by the amount billed by the cleaning service. I didn't charge for the lamp they broke, only the cleaning. Each season we rent about have the summer to repeat renters so I guess our house just wasn't the negative reviewers cup of tea. Maybe the security deposit had nothing to do with the bad review!

We've stayed two years in a row here and it fits our needs perfectly. It's a quiet, family-friendly part of Avalon and a short walk to the beach. The only thing missing is the availability of a grill, but we made do. The dog loved sitting on the deck with us watching the world go by. Hope we can stay again.
