This large loft-style GROUNDFLOOR apartment, in a 17th century Town House, is ideally located for sightseeing. Walk 5 minutes towards the south and you are at the bridge PONT NEUF (over the Seine river) and LOUVRE (Royal Palace) Museum, 10 minutes walk to the west takes you in the heart of the MARAIS with its historic palaces, Picasso museum. 5 min. walk takes you to the POMPIDOU Modern Art CENTER, 15 min. to the OPERA.
Located one block from St Eustache Church and Les Halles. The building is located in a peaceful, medieval marble-paved street called "rue marie stuart" in the heart of the fashionable PEDESTRIAN Montorgueil area, on the edge of the Marais district.
The location is also very convenient for public transport: this flat is located less than 5 minutes walk from 3 METRO stations: Chatelet-Les Halles (direct "RER" train that takes you in 30 minutes to the airport), as well as the subway stations Etienne Marcel and Sentier.
The colorful and very Parisian MONTORGEUIL area (socalled "belly of Paris")is renowned for its QUALITY food stores, as well as the wide range of TRENDY restaurants, theatres and cafés. It is the largest pedestrian zone in the heart of any European city. A completely renovated (2005) LUXURIOUS and very spacious studio apartment with 14-feet high ceilings, sleeps 2 to 3 people.
The apartment is located on the GROUND FLOOR of a 17th century Town House, built for the violin maker of King Louis XIV.
Royal visit 2004: QUEEN ELIZABETH II just visited our street during her state visited on April, 6, 2004! She asked the French president to show her this new pedestrian 'village'-approach to urban living in the center of a metropolis.

Airconditiong system newly installed. The studio has white MARBLE floors, 13 feet high ceilings , big double-glazed windows, an antique stonewall and beams.
The apartment is well appointed with real ANTIQUE furniture, and comprises a modern, high quality, KING-SIZE double bed with goose duvet and an additional brandnew LEATHER sleeper sofa with a real quality mattress, a living area, equipped with a free high-speed INTERNET hook-up.
There is a SPACIOUS BATHROOM with both shower and bath, designer washbasin, HEATED towel rack,and a small but functional and a small but functional equipped KITCHENETTE with a fridge, coffee maker and a microwave.

The groundfloor of this building used to be a theatre before we renovated it entirely beginning 2003. We created this rental studio adjacent to our own apartment.
