  Stayed here with three long time friends. First time on Maui for 2 of us. The condo was exactly as described and much nicer than some of the other units we looked at in the complex - we even gave the owners contact info to other families we met in the complex. All the amenities we needed. Loved being on the ground floor for easy access to the BBQ, beach and boardwalk. The location of the unit meant the lanai was nicely shaded for most of the day and the sunsets were fabulous to watch. The whole property was well-maintained and secure. Close [walk or drive] to the many great beaches in Kaanapali and Napili. Would stay here again.

  The vacation we just had at Papakea Resort in this unit in Maui was excellent for our family. We have two young children ages 6 and 8. The condo is very spacious, it was great having two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The photos say all as it is a beautiful unit. Having the washer/dryer and of course the dishwasher were very useful. After being used to all-inclusives I wasn't sure how I would feel about making our own meals. I have to say that it was a really nice change. Cereal, toast and coffee on the lanai in the morning, sandwiches at lunch, and bbq's so close by made supper cooking a breeze and actually enjoyable to cook and hang out by the pool. Which leads me to how amazing this place is for kids. Loved the ground floor location, just steps away to the pool and the kids loved the fish pond and golfing right off the lanai. The pool was really warm, we spent three days just hanging there because the kids had such a great time and made friends with other kids in the resort. They would spend nearly the whole day in the pool!! The water aerobics and yogalates in the morning were also a great activity to enjoy while looking at the ocean. Nothing beat our morning view, having a cup of coffee on the lanai with a book was so relaxing. I think the location of this unit was just perfect and I couldn't have asked for better. The beach walk which is just steps away from the property were so beautiful, go for a sunset walk with your shoes in hand and toes in the ocean, it is hard to compare any other place we have ever been to the beauty of that. The gardens at the resort were clean and perfectly manicured. The resort location was great as well, the kids loved eating at Bubba Gump's at nearby Lahaina, also playing at Kapalua beach(not far), and the beaches farther away near Kihei were also really good for the kids. The sand is beautiful at all the beaches. We went to the Luau "Drums of the Pacific" and the kids really enjoyed the fire dancing. I would recommend a convertible rental as well, tons of fun and the ocean drives are so beautiful. Everyone was very helpful with any questions that i had and the security at the resort was excellent, when we lost the keys to our rental car they even helped us search, which was above and beyond customer service. I would highly recommend this unit to family and friends and appreciate that we got the chance to have a dream vacation in it.

  This unit in Papakea was perfect for our family of 5. Everyone had a bed to sleep in and having 2 bathrooms was wonderful. Many places are not able to accomodate a family of 5, but this unit was ideal for us! There are grills for your use right at the pool. Being on the first floor was terrific for our family. There was so much to do right out the door - putt, watch the koi in the koi pond, play shuffleboard, swim in the pool, or walk on the beach. We played cards on the lanai every day. It was so convenient. This unit was welcoming on the inside and had beautiful views right from the lanai.

  My husband and I and our best friends both celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary this month in Maui. We have stayed at the Papakea in other units before but this is the NICEST one! Love the kitchen cabinets and bathroom tile! Nicely kept, very clean and well-stocked for fun! Plenty of boogie boards and many cooler choices! We appreciate that there was a small stock of spices and a few basics in the kitchen. We did a lot of our cooking each day in the condo after our Costco stop. If you are looking for a nice condo... this is it!

  Our stay in this unit at Papakea Resort was absolutely great! We truly enjoyed the wonderfully equipped kitchen and the beautifully remodeled bathrooms. We spent many hours at the sea wall watching the whales and enjoying the sea breezes. We will definitely return to this unit the next time we plan a trip to Maui. Many thanks for the truly wonderful unit.

  We had a wonderful family vacation at Papakae and thoroughly enjoyed staying in this unit. I went with my husband, daughter and Aunite. The unit is great. It's spacious, comfortable and stocked with all the things you need to make it feel like home. It's location is ideal - beside the putting greens and a few feet away from the pool and bbq's. I would recommend this unit to anyone and when we go back we hope to stay there again. It's beautiful.

  The condo description and pictures are very accurate. The condo is nicely remodeled, clean, and well maintained. It was very accessible to parking, pool, BBQ, ocean. The beds were comfortable. We had 5 people staying there and we were all comfortable. I absolutely would recommend this property to anyone. My 80 year old mother particularly liked being able to walk out the door to the beach or pool without bothering with the elevators. We had no complaints about anything in the condo. We were there for 12 nights and loved the stunning sunsets.

  Our family just returned home after an 8 day stay in this beautiful condo at the Papakea Resort on Maui. I have stayed in Papakea now five times and I will say that this is the nicest condo we have stayed in so far. In fact, I already told the owners I am planning on booking it again next year at the same time-it was that great! I have mainly stayed on the third and fourth floors for the views. While nice, it does becomes a chore getting up and down several times a day whether it be carrying snorkeling gear, groceries, or just a tasty treat fresh off the BBQ. With the ease of being on the ground floor all that was eliminated. You are just steps from all the amenities that Papakea provides; two pools, 16 BBQ's, two putting greens, tennis courts, shuffleboards and, most important of all, the ocean. I counted 53 steps from the door of the lanai to the ocean wall. The unit was fully renovated between April and June of this year and it really shows. The place is immaculate. From the motion sensors on the bathroom fans to the three individual AC units, Don and his gang put alot of thought into making this unit unique. I really feel like they wanted to make it something they would enjoy themselves, not just something that would appeal to a renter. The quality shows throughout: the granite counters in the kitchen and bathrooms, the cabinetry, the flat screen TV's, the tile flooring-everything says first class. The condo is fully equipped to handle all your vacation needs. Papakea is in a great location between the hustle and bustle of Kaanapali/Lahaina and Kapalua. The expansive grounds of the resort are open and park-like. There is a nice supermarket within walking distance as well as coffee shops, a place to rent snorkel gear, boogie boards etc. And dont miss out on the fish market-if the locals buy there you know it is good. I have two boys aged 10 and 12 and there was more than enough to do to keep them occupied. You can snorkel and see all the tropical fish you want right off the property's beach. Get adventurous and drive to Honolua bay (if the surfs not up) and get for free what people on the catamarans are paying $90.00 to see. We drove to Twin Falls and the kids swung on ropes and jumped off rocks into fresh water pools. There is too much to do to list here that is just a short drive away. Whether you want to chill at at the resort or go on an adventure Papakea and unit G-106 is the place to make your base. We will be back next year. I recommend!

  We've stayed in many units at Papakea and although they've all been nice G -106 is now our favorite. We loved the view, the easy access to the ocean, the pool, the BBQ, and the putting green. The owners did a great job with the remodel. The kitchen and bathrooms are beautiful. We played tennis, golf, and shuffle board. We also snorkeled at Napili and Kapalua a few minutes away. Duke's just opened down the beach so we walked there for lunch and drinks at happy hour. Every night we'd lay out by the seawall and enjoy the stars. The atmosphere at Papakea is perfect for family reunions. The owners are very accommodating. We'll be back!
