  If you want a place where you have privacy, peaceful surroundings, and comfortable living... this is the house. My friends and I rented here for three weeks and enjoyed every bit of it. The pool was perfect. Always heated and great for the kids or a calming swim at night. The house is spacious, the amenities were all in great condition and the layout was perfect. It was a great place to invite friends over and at the same time keep your privacy. Really a beautiful house in a great location.

  Lovely home, the property owner (Dan) was very helpful and accommodating in every way. I stayed for over a month with a group of friends. The pool is incredible and heated and the location was great. We were able to entertain some guests who were all dazzled by the wonderful property, location and layout of the house. I'd recommend it any day.

  We stayed in this wonderful home a few years ago and were so happy to hear that Dan had availability for just the time that we needed again this year. We've stayed in other places in Los Angeles, but this is the only one that we are happy to come back to time and again. Even the kids (ages 7 & 4) commented about how happy they were to be back. We run a lot of volunteer charity projects in Africa & around the world and Dan was very gracious to help us with a rental price to fit in our budget and help our work. We noticed a lot of changes and upgrades to the entire property inside and out and you can tell that Dan sure puts in a lot of labors of love to make this house a home and keep it spotless. He has an incredible cleaning crew that are a joy to be around and really helped to manage everything when needed. The heated saltwater pool and spa were the cherry on the cake and made our stay in a colder season worth it. The kids are now professional swimmers! Dan - thank you for taking such good care of us and being on call the entire time for anything that we needed. We will keep you close to our hearts throughout our travels and hope to return soon!

  A group of 10 of us ages 13-50 stayed for Thanksgiving 2012. This was the second year in a row to celebrate in LA, but this house was a huge step up. To begin with, Dan was extremely easy to work with, and very responsive. Upon arrival, the house was immaculate, and well stocked with linens, towels and paper goods. All appliances were in excellent order, and the pool and hot tub performed well. The location, near to Tree People park, and all the LA attractions is great. I would definitely stay here again!

  The house was fantastic. It was large, comfortable for a large group, beautifully furnished, in great condition, with a fantastic pool and outdoor view. We would highly recommend it for anyone coming to LA. Dan was a great host who was willing to help at anytime questions came up. We will definitely contact him to rent the house again next year.

  Owner response: Thanks for your review! In 2012 the house has been improved in many ways...the pool is now a "saltwater" pool, with no more chorine or chemicals! The kitchen has all brand new appliances. Much of the furniture (indoors and out) has been upgraded with better furniture. The master bedroom has all new everything including furniture and carpet. There are twice weekly visits from pool man and gardener, along with an excellent maid staff available. After 7 years of refinement by the current owner, the home is now suitable for the most demanding clients.

  I booked this home for a weekend in August for my birthday. I threw a dinner party for about 13 guests and the house was divine. Everyone had an amazing time. The house itself is open and spacious and perfect for hosting a night with close friends. There is a waterfall by the entrance and lounge area that provides perfect ambiance. The guest house is spacious and has it's own kitchen with living area--wonderful little extra for friends who decided to stay for breakfast. The rooms in the main house were all clean and everyone said the beds were beyond comfortable (as was mine in the master). The master bedroom is great as is the master bath--that is beyond spacious. At night there are automatic lights that come on and light the outdoor area perfectly. The pool and spa are heated and controlled by remote and heated up to a perfect temperature for a midnight swim. It was a perfect getaway and a perfect weekend at this home. The location is up Coldwater Cyn and down a private road so parking is limited if you plan on having more than a few people over. We arranged for a shuttle to station @ the Ralph's down the cyn for a couple hours and shuttle people up as they arrived. Dan, the owner, was wonderful. Anything we needed or had a question about he was either ready to come over to help or on the phone with answers. He was easy to reach and very accommodating. He also loves dogs so it was nice that we were able to have our dogs come with us to the home. Very nice weekend--the best of the summer by far.

  There were two families from England who rented Dan's house In August. There were 7 of us in total (4 adults and 3 teenage boys) and we could easily have fitted another family in. There was so much space and was light and airy but private enough if you wanted to escape! The views are amazing and we didnt want to leave. It was really easy to get around LA and the surrounding areas (in a car of course) and close to restaurants and shops and everything you needed. When we come back we would NEVER use a hotel again - why would you when you can stay somewhere as magical as this. Dan the owner was incredibly helpful from the start to finish and very accommodating with checking in and out times. Nothing was too much bother for him and he was always at the end of the phone if we needed anything or help with our holiday. I would not hesitate at all in recommending this house to groups of friends or families. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are fantastic and we loved sitting round the pool and hot-tub after a bbq with a few beers. Thanks Dan for an amaxing holiday and we hope to be back very soon

You’re one of the best Owners that I worked with, easy going, class & friendly. I’ll recommend ppl from all over the world to stay in your property with no second thoughts. Everything there was perfect. From the swimming pool, the garden, the view, guesthouse, kitchen, master bedroom & the basement! I would like to give this property 7 stars. It really deserves that.   We stayed with Dan at two of his properties in LA, including this house, and they were both amazing. Dan is a fantastic host, his houses were immaculate, and Dan made sure that everything was perfect for our stay. Forget about hotels, I thoroughly recommend anyone staying at one of Dan's houses, it will be an unforgettable experience.

  We leased Dan's house June 2-6th for a girls' getaway. This house is the epitomy of the type of house you would want in "the hills!" There were 7 of us and the house MORE than accomodated us and all that we traveled with! It was simply stunning and just so cool upon first sight! It has awesome gathering areas inside and out and yet it's large enough that you could seclude yourself from the action if you wanted! We each felt like we had our own space and privacy which was great but we loved hanging out together on the comfy furniture by the pool and in the living areas! The views from the balconies are dynamic! The location is absolutely perfect because you can get just about anywhere--shopping, dining, etc in a matter of minutes! Dan, the owner, is outstanding to work with and he is extremely accommodating and goes above and beyond for his guests! He even helped us carry our luggage (there was a lot with 7 women) down and through the house and he is extremely prompt with any requests or questions! He was also so helpful with directions and logistics for our trip! AWESOME, AWESOME person! We looked at several other properties in and around LA and knowing what we know now, we would have regretted not getting THIS HOME for our stay! We already started planning our trip back in the 1st 20 minutes we were there based simply on the house and are considering a couples' trip because the house would more than accomodate such! Even though it's large, it would be awesome for a romantic getaway too simply because of the view and the pool area and it has a fantastic master suite with a LARGE, round tub in the master bath! I really can't imagine anything this house wouldn't be great for! I have to say that I am a skeptic by nature but seeing is believing and believe me...THIS HOUSE ROCKS!

  SERIOUSLY AMAZING!!!!!! I stayed at this beautiful house in June and from the moment we walked in I knew that I had made the right decision. If you're looking over the pictures and reviews don't even think twice about booking it - just do it. You will not regret it. We were 6 people in total and in town for business. We've been to LA about 10 times in the past and we always stay in hotels. This time I was thinking, okay - let's try something different. Let's enjoy some of the great things about LA, like the sun, beautiful landscape, and a house in the hills! And in the end it was by far the best trip to LA we had because of the house. You're really close to Hollywood so everything is right there, but at the same time you can escape to the privacy of your own pool, hot tub and space! instead of sharing it with strangers like you would at a hotel. It's also (needless to say as you can see from the pictures) very luxurious. I doubt I will ever stay in a place as nice as this ever again and I will never forget it. Definitely something out of the movies. Dan the owner was fantastic, really good at communicating and everything was as expected. From the moment we left we were all saying how we missed the "palace" as we call it. Anyway, I could go on and on but honestly this place is really amazing and I would book it again in a second! (Also everyone has given it 5 stars!!!!!) Thanks so much Dan!!!! We're still dreaming about the house!

  I really cant say enough about the house and how enjoyable it was to work with Dan. When I called about this house I was so upset when I heard it was unavailable... Right off the bat I could tell Dan was a great guy from speaking to him and he immediately starting telling me about this other house he had to offer. It was insane! The house we stayed in was in Beverly Hills in the best possible location you can ask for!! We were 12 guys on vacation and we had the time of our lives. We got back yesterday and are already planning another trip to LA. The house is so cool, views are amazing, has the feel of such a celebrity/party house. I could go on and on about how great this house was but renting with Dan really was such a pleasure. He is so easy to work with, accomodated every request we had, nothing was ever a big deal, gave me a thorough walk through of the house when I got there, never bothered us for anything and really was the key to our trip. There is nothing like working with a trustworthy person when renting a house, especially one as easy going and accomodating as Dan. When I called him up and asked if there was any activities to do in the house like a pool table or ping pong table, he said no but he could get one for us. When we arrived there was a ping pong table waiting for us in the house. He did NOT have to do that, and it really made everyone so happy... I spoke to other owners before choosing a house and you could tell when speaking to Dan that your happiness is first as opposed to others who are all about themselves... call him and you'll see for yourself LOL. Anyway, everything mentioned on listing or what Dan told me was accurate, there were no surprises. Everything was actually better than expected. Security deposit returned in full and on time. In perfect condition when we got there! Overall GREAT experience. Too good to be true, I do not have one complaint... Already reccomended to lot of people and this is where I am staying anytime I am back in that area... Thanks again Dan, you're the man! -Irving (and the boys)

  I am a workaholic who admittedly needed a vacation after a grueling trip to Mexico. I had been searching online for a home to rent for the weekend in Los Angeles. I found the current listing but after inquiring about its availability I found out it was booked for the weekend. That’s when Dan (the owner) leapt into action! Working with Dan was phenomenal— he immediately sent me a link to another property of his that was available. He was professional, responsive, and accommodating to my particular needs. After speaking to countless owners, Dan was by far the most polite and easiest to work with. He didn’t harass or pressure me through the process-- he really made renting a joy. The house exceeded my expectations by far and I had a restful and relaxing weekend stay. In fact, it was so great that I am already planning my next trip to Los Angeles and will be coming back to rent from Dan. Thanks again for a great weekend, would definitely recommend!!!

  This house was the perfect place for our friends to gather for a long New Year's weekend and the Rose Bowl. The location just off Mulholland Drive at the top of the hill was ideal and provides a great view. Minutes away down the north side of the hill is Studio City (grocery and liquor stores, Starbucks, etc.) and the expressway to Pasadena, and down the south side of the hill is West Hollywood and Beverly Hills for restaurants, night life and shopping. We were also less than a 30 minute drive from each of Malibu and LAX. The weather wasn't great in LA while we were out there, so we couldn't make the most of the pool area, but the temperature was perfect for the hot tub, which we put to good use. We enjoyed having a lot of indoor space at the house for watching football or hanging out by the fire in the living room on New Year's Eve. We had 9 adults at the house and never felt cramped. The house was an important ingredient in our recipe for a fun trip. Dan was great to work with -- he was very responsive, answered all of our questions, met us at the house to get us orientated, and returned our security deposit immediately. We would definitely rent from Dan again!

  My whole family gathered in La for the holidays this year and we stayed at this house. It was so much fun - we all had our own space, since the bedrooms are spread apart. The open layout of the house made it really fun to all hang out and yet still do different things throughout the day. Thank you for making our holiday season so fun this year!

  We were two familes (party of 7) who stayed in this fab home 6/29 - 7/5. Dan was a great host and the home was perfect for us! We were a bit uncomfortable the first night, as it was unseasonable chilly and the decor' has many hard lines and very little fabrics - however, that quickly went away as we realized we were in a chic house in Beverly Hills. Our vacation was memoriable and fun. The best memories were of the house and chillin' poolside by day and in the hot tub at night. The house is 5 mins to a grocery store. Security deposit was returned promptly. Highly recommended.
