Landover Lodge offers the main and upper level of a very large unique home. The living room, dining room, deck and screened porch face west for a spectacular view of the lake. So does the upstairs second Master suite. Sunsets are breathtaking.
Guests have access to 3500+ square feet of heated living space. Two of the four bedrooms and all commonl living spaces are on the main level. This allows a guest with limited mobility to be completely involved with all activities. The master bath has a spacious dressing area and jacuzzi tub. The two bedrooms upstairs offer one with a king bed, private deck and full bath. The other upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and two twin beds with private bath. Although this home is not suitable for small children, older children love this 'cloud' room! All bedrooms have HD televisions and Directv service for those rainy days. Wireless internet throughout. This home is best for older guests who prefer the quiet of a secluded location but near to shopping, dining, Charlotte, and Race City. The owner maintains a lower level apartment. The owner's area has a separate entrance and driveway ensuring that guests will have plenty of privacy and adequate parking. The most accurate description is that this home is like a very large duplex in the woods with a dynamite view! Although the owner has another home, she is there frequently and able to keep this home as problem free as possible. This allows guests as close to a problem free residence as possible and more time to enjoy the lake and family.
We strive to imitate the ambiance of a bed and breakfast. We offer comfortable beds, high quality linens, towels, paper products, soap, shampoo, cleaning products, and a completely furnished kitchen. Books, games, cards,fishing poles, water equipment, and televisions in bedrooms allow for everyone to have something fun to do while on vacation.
Several companies offer boat rentals and will deliver to the dock. Many guest choose to bring their personal boat. Hagars Creek access boat ramp is off of nearby McKendree road. Our pier and dock are roomy. There is a seating area on the pier. Two empty slips allow a guest to bring or rent more than one boat, or have friends with boats over to visit. The dock is set back from the main channel enough that other boats normally do not get close to the dock. However it is a favorite fishing spot for those Saturday morning fishing tournaments!

The fourth bedroom is really not a true bedroom. It is a large bonus room without a closet but it does have a bathroom. Iron & Ironing board upstairs. There are two additional Intex twin air mattresses that blow up to the height of a regular twin bed. Guests have commented that they are very comfortable. Twin sheets tuck in and they look like a regular twin bed when inflated.
Laundry room has iron & ironing board on the main level. Large two person jacuzzi tub in the dressing area too with vaulted ceiling. Master bedroom area very cozy and quiet. Well away from the noise of the great room....moreless

This is a very nice higher end home. Older children who can swim without life jackets are welcome.

About the owner: I am a pilot with USAirways. We have two homes in addition to this Lake Norman home. My husband is retired. He and the dogs spend summers at our cabin in Virginia and winter at our condo in Florida. As I am still working, I use this lower level apartment as it is convenient to work. It allows me to do any kind of flying I choose: one day trips up to four day trips. With my old pontoon, jetski, and friends in the neighborhood, it sure is a better way to enjoy time in between trips!
Why the Owner Chose Mooresville: We purchased this lot in 1989 and built our dream home in 1992. The lot is perfect with 300 feet of shoreline and a breathtaking sunset view. It is also at the end of a cul-desac and not visible from the main neighborhood road allowing for quiet and privacy. The dock is set back enough to enjoy the view but not have boats driving by close to the dock so swimming is safe. It's proximity to the Charlotte airport allows easy access for work.
The Unique Benefits at this House: This home is conveniently located to shopping, dining, golf, race city, and Interstate 77. It is probably one of the closest homes available for rental near the Trump National Point facility which hosts weddings and golfing events. Charlotte is 30 miles south. Yet the noise of boats is all that you might hear sitting on the dock. Because this home is at the end of a quiet road, the privacy and quiet are an added benefit. However all amenities are very close and the neighborhood is wonderful. I often walk over two miles in our neighborhood and never see a car.
Because I keep the lower level I am able to be here often enough to keep the house in good shape.This will allow guests to have few worries about home maintenance issues or any problems that may arise. I truly want our guests to have a worry free relaxing vacation!
