I had the pleasure of staying a week in this lovely apartment--cozy, but very efficient, and the location is just the best. Sol met us there and had maps and marker at the ready to help us organize our time in Madrid. We were able to contact Sol anytime we needed information (important info like where the "shoe street" is located--and we were very successful there). Would highly recommend.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 5/5

My best friend and I traveled to Spain in March 2012. Our first stop was in Madrid. When we got to the apartment via taxi from airport, there was a note on the door, on which apartment to buzz. We were greeted immediately. The apartment is perfect for two people. Very clean and comfy. The beds are comfortable, there is free wifi, the kitchen is well stocked with what you would need for long term or short term stay, the bathroom is clean and nice, linens and towels are all provided. It's also a nice bright apartment in the day with the skylights. The area is great. It's quite, but close to everything. You would be silly not to rent this apartment, it was a great cost, with all the comforts of home. Sol was great in providing us everything we needed and some recommendations. Can not say enough how much we enjoyed our first stay in Madrid. There is also a lift, so you don't have to worry about carrying your bags up and down an ton of stairs. As stated in the description, was as we found the apartment (photos and description). IF any of my friends and family will be going to Madrid, I would highly recommend this apartment!Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+.

My stay at this apartment was from Dec 2-Dec 12. It was a perfect place to rest your weary body in the middle of the day and was very comfortable at night. A very quiet, comfortable apartment in the middle of a busy noisy city. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The elevator/lift is an added bonus for luggage or after a long day walking - there are still 2 flights of stairs (one up to the elevator and one after the elevator) that you need to take, so wouldn't be handicapped accessible. The owners were very accommodating and met us at the door and provided wonderful directions for getting around the city. I would definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+.

Pictures accurately represent the apartment. If you're very tall, you could knock yourself out on a couple of the ceiling joists. Tiny lift to the 4th floor but more than adequate unless you have huge amount of luggage (way better than hoofing it up the stairs after you've been walking all day.) The apartment was pretty quiet at night (I didn't have to use earplugs like in some of the other places we stayed.) Apartment is litterally less than minute walk to Plaza Santa Ana. 5-10 minute walk to Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. 10-15 minute walk to the very nice Retiro Park near the Prado. Having a kitchenette and the washer was great. Very close to the metro. Sol and Carmen were very friendly and took a bunch of time to go over a local map and point out many of the sites and places to eat. I would stay here again if returning to Madrid.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family and I stayed at Prince Santa Ana apartment recently. What a find! The as previously stated, the apartment is close to everything in central Madrid (10-15 min walk to all the sights in town). Yet, Calle Principe is a walk street with a cool neighborhoody vibe that makes you feel like a real Madrileno (Madrid local). There are a ton of lovely restaurants on the street or just around the corner in the Plaza de Santa Ana and the apartment felt like a home away from home. It's the perfect location if you want to feel like a local and immerse yourself in the beauty that is Madrid. Sol made our stay so wonderful and was incredibly helpful and gracious. She made herself available to us should we have any questions. The apartment itself was impeccable, beautifully decorated and modern. We loved our stay at the apartment and would highly recommend it to anyone. When I find myself back in Madrid, I will absolutely stay there again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.

Family of three stayed 5 nights in July. I'd never rented through VRBO before but had heard good things, and we were not disappointed. The apartment, though small, was perfectly adequate for our needs (2 adults and teenage son). It is well appointed, and very tidy. We loved the location which is in the heart of the Madrid nightlife scene, easy walking distance to the metro, great shopping, restaurants, and one of the best Flamenco shows in town at Villa Rosa. Don't miss it! Thank you Carmen and Sol for your hospitality - we hope to return soon! My adult daughter & I stayed for week in the apartment. We really loved it. The location is great. It is so clean & well-kept. It's a great place to relax and recharge. Even though it is in the middle of the city, it is quiet enough to nap during the day. I have rented many apartments through vrbo & this was one of the best.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Thank you Carmen and Sol - we had a wonderful stay in Madrid! The studio apartment was quiet, comfortable and exactly as pictured and described. Our family of four was very comfortable during our 5-day stay. The apartment was centrally located, and within walking distance of museums, sights, restaurants - really anything a tourist might want to see in Madrid. There are so many great places to eat in the area, and thanks to Sol, we had some great recommendations for eating and shopping. Your prompt responses to emails and help booking tickets was extremely helpful and appreciated! We have had many experiences renting apartments in the US and Europe and this was one of our favorites. Knowing we could call/email Sol with our questions was like having a friend in Madrid! Again, thanks for your hospitality!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.
