The muse moves so strongly thruogh me on this magical piano. What a fabulous way to end 2007 and greet 2008! Steve and I had a lovely, lovely time here, and the 3 of us a memorable New Years Eve, feasting like royalty. Merci beaucoup.

We appreciat your sharing your beautiful home with us! We have enjoyed so much the fireplace, the beautiful views frim the deck, the sell stocked kitchen & wonderful piano!. My twin sister & I played duets from the classical book we had played from many years ago. We had planned day trips from here, but decided to stay here instead & enjoy all the beauty & comforts your place afforded us. We especially liked walking the trails & gathering the sand dollars on the beach. LOVED your selection of music -- especially classical & 50's music.

A wonderful house and a wonderful view. Very well stocked and we were very comfortable for our month stay. We enjoyed walking every trail and beach at "The Pointe" and have lots of pictures of the flora & founa and tides from -2.9 to +15.4 feet.... Enjoyed it all. As we leave, the water is like a mirror reflecting Mt. Olympia. The birds are singing and a deer walks by the front patio. The fireplace is lit and the jazz is playing on your wonderful sound system. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy Mary's 65th birthday, and Tom's R&R from Iraq, and Joe's retirement in a very special way.

It is the best way to welcome summer, I have found. This year the got Hartstene attraction was the rope swing at the North Beach, although it's hard to beat the crabs, Nature Trail, and Sand Castle making! Thank you for opening your beautiful home to us! The best house ever!! The Deck was the best. We played board games and put a crab on our sand castle!

Thank you so very much for allowing us the use of your home. The website does not do this house justice. We were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this place is. The unique design and setting were ideal for a relaxing getaway. Nothing compares to the view of the Olympics off of your fabulous deck. We enjoyed having the piano, conversation pit, study, well-stocked kitchen and all of the other items you have so graciously shared. We will look forward to returning one day.

I'm in the kitchen, and my husband Dan shouts in from the deck, "Come out here, there are Whales out there!" He points to a disturbance in the water, so we waited, and waited ... Then I see the fins!! The motion of the Orcas is clear - 3-4 of them. How exciting!. Saw them the next day - closer this time. What a nice surprise!

You have a great house, wonderful location, very quiet and peaceful with all the amenities. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching and hearing the loons. Our 3 generation family enjoyed your house and Hartstene Pointe. It has been 17 years since we had visited HP and it really has changed. Minus tides so we shlupped across mud flats to find marine life. .... It was so easy to come in since you had all the amenities and we didn't have to struggle packing in dish soap, paper products, etc. .. Thank you for sharing your most exqusite home. My husband loved that the library was stocked with rare Isaac Asimov. I loved that the pantry was stocked with "natural foods" as well as Swiss Miss. Also, I admire the pan-asian decor and even the green deck stain. Thank you for a very peaceful visit.

Despite the rain-sun-rain-sun etc., we very much enjoyed our visit in your beautiful home. We walked every day, went to the beach and took day-trips to Port Townsend, Seattle, and the ocean. Many hours were spend sitting on the deck. Even during the rain, it was beautiful, reminding us of the Hoh Rain Forest. As life-long travelers, we have rented many homes and yours ranks among the best. You provided everything to make us comfortable. The design of the home is most unique. Mother's day and Rod's 60th birthday: What a delightful weekend it has been to get away to this serene & beautiful setting to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday with the family! The music of the grand pianno and classical CD's was a joy, as was the early morning time out on the deck, listening to the birds and watching the wildlife. We all really enjoyed our 2 night stay in the Octagon house. We felt right at home here. It is so peaceful and lovely, having coffee in the morning on the deck was truly heaven. We enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving - Family retreat here. The first day was stormy and mystical and we spend a romantic afternoon baking pies. On Thanksgiving the sun came out and we enjoyed the views and conversation pit with family. The space has a wonderful way of bringing people together to share the experience. We hope to return in June for our wedding celebration and would love to stay here again.

After staying in your home last weekend I felt complelled to tell you how much we enjoyed your home. I practiced the piano, we read our books on the deck and after a great night sleep we were up early each day to walk every trail on The Pointe. The house is attractive, interesting, well stocked and your honesty system with supplies made us feel at home. We have been to the The Pointe many times and it is one of our favorite places.
