In the shadows of four 14ers is the Placer Valley Lodge. You can walk across the street to the South Platte River while the kids play in the Quartzville Creek which runs through the property. Hike out your back door to climb Bross, Lincoln, Democrat and Cameron!
Relax in this secluded setting on two acres just far enough from Breckenridge (20 minutes) but close enough to enjoy the slopes and amenities when you feel the urge. Just north of Alma, the lodge sits in a mix of aspen and pine with Quartzville Creek running through the property.
Cross the bridge over the creek to enter the kids wonderland which includes a playground and zip line. The front includes the marshmallow roasting area next to the babbling creek.
Across River Road is the South Platte River which is home to spectacular wildlife and world class trout fishing. Hike down the road to a nearby pond for kids to enjoy catching their first trout!
Mt Bross, Lincoln, Democrat and Cameron are just northwest of the lodge allowing a challenging hike from the back door to the top or drive to timberline to start your half day climb.
It is unlikely you will spend much time indoors, but when you do, enjoy the wood burning stove in the living area or a friendly game of pool in the game room downstairs. The house sits on three levels making it perfect for multiple family gatherings but reserving time and space for solitude when necessary. The garage allows for ski and snowmobile storage or a warm, dry entry on a snowy day.
If you are looking for the loud, bustling tourist trap or a condo with granite countertops, you have come to the wrong place. Placer Valley Lodge is for a relaxing time with friends and family after a long day hiking, climbing, mountain biking, rafting, fishing, skiing or snowmobiling!
