Our light-filled, sun-drenched three bedroom home with rare Guajuvira wood floors, custom imported lighting, and furnished with distinctive designer furniture, tasteful rugs and art provides a haven and sanctuary for the discriminating guest. We can truly say that no expense was spared in creating a luxury vacation paradise, and we welcome you to take a closer look.
Our home is approximately 3000 square feet and consists of three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The main level houses a large entryway with oversized walk-in coat closet, modern kitchen with all amenities, glass dining room capturing the spectacular views, a living room, sitting room, home theatre-equipped den, guest bathroom, laundry room and en suite master bedroom with king bed. The upstairs consists of two additional bedrooms, one with king bed, one with queen bed and a bathroom. There is high speed internet access and WI-FI in the house.
In addition to the interior living space, the house was designed to take advantage of its wonderful natural setting and sweeping vistas. All bedrooms, kitchen, dining room and living room have extensive use of windows that fully capture the panorama and bring the outside in. There are three glass doors that allow guests to access the decks, patio, fire pit and grounds. There is also a two car detached garage for guest use.
The town of Charlotte, VT was chartered in 1762 and is situated in the fertile Champlain Valley with a series of hills and ridges overlooking beautiful Lake Champlain. Charlotte, with 3500 residents, hosts a large network of working farms and forests that are flourishing from the productive Champlain Valley soils. Sugar bushes, orchards, dairies, berry farms, a winery, market gardens, livestock operations, honey houses, grain and community supported agriculture are just some of Charlotte’s flourishing enterprises. These lands also provide many of the vast scenic landscapes, community trails, Charlotte Park and Wildlife Refuge, and the famous Mt Philo State Park. The town is home to the small and growing villages of East and West Charlotte with corner stores, library, Grange and senior center. Charlotte residents and visitors enjoy the buzz of farm activity and the quiet Vermont countryside.
Recreational opportunities abound. Lake Champlain is a mecca of summertime life. Residents and visitors can use the town beaches for swimming and relaxing. There are boat launches for sailing, fishing, water skiing, windsurfing and other water sports. There are tennis courts, and numerous parks and trails for hiking as well spectacular roads for cycling, walking and touring. Mt Philo State Park is a short walk from the house. The area is renowned for spectacular fall foliage and is an excellent base for leaf peeping. Winter sports include snow shoeing and cross country skiing , and several of Vermont’s famous ski resorts including Stowe and Sugar bush are less than an hour’s drive.
Burlington, the state’s largest city, is home to numerous restaurants, cafes, shops, galleries, nightlife and the University of Vermont. Nearby are Shelburne Farms and the Shelburne Museum, two of Vermont’s not to be missed attractions. Middlebury is of course home to Middlebury College, one of the country’s and region’s finest liberal arts schools.
As a person who has traveled the globe extensively and has considerable experience in renting homes and properties while away, I understand the guest’s desire to have things right and make sure the experience is memorable. Most of us have limited vacation time, and when we do get away we want the experience to be easy, relaxed, and stress-free. Often the actual experience doesn’t live up to the high expectations that have been built up in advance of a trip.
While I can’t guarantee perfection, what I can promise is this: we understand your needs and we will go to great lengths and bend over backwards to ensure that your experience meets or exceeds your expectations. While we can’t anticipate all of our guests’ needs in advance, as long as you tell us what it is we can do to enhance your stay, we will do our best to make it happen.
We promise that the house will be in exceptional condition, and it will be beautifully furnished as described. There will be high quality linens, towels, and bath amenities. There will be fresh flowers. There might be a jug of a local farmer’s maple syrup, just recently tapped. Or some delicious artisan cheeses, also fresh from the market. Vermont is a magical place, and we will attempt to bring some of that magic into your stay at our home. A luxury Vermont rental awaits you.
