  We really enjoyed the week we spent in this apartment in Laglio. The property was very well maintained, and included everything we needed. It was convenient to ferries, restaurants and many beautiful towns on the lake. It was quiet at night, and very secure so we felt comfortable with just our shutters closed at night to allow the lake breezes in. Both the owner and property manager were extremely helpful and patient in answering all our questions. Sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine, overlooking the lake and waking up each morning to church bells chiming were two of our favourite things! Highly recommended!

  To stay in Laglio, one of the superb older villages of Lake Como is an honour. To stay in luxurious surroundings, have your own grassed patio in a villa apartment, with a thoughtful owner who has carefully put together a lovely place-this is paradise. The listing was entirely accurate, but of course the photos do not show the true beauty of Lake Como. The property was very well cleaned, and the owner and the local agent were informative and very helpful. We loved buying local produce at the green grocer down the street, and celebrity sighting at the Lantern Bar. Thank you for the wonderful and effortless stay. We will certainly be back, and can highly recommend Darlene's place to our friends and family.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our week in your lovely place. The fixtures and fittings were first rate, the rooms scrupulously clean, and the bed very comfortable (increasingly important as we grow older!). All in all, an absolutely delightful week! The service could not have been friendlier or more helpful. We do love the area, and think that your charming flat is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy all that Como has to offer. We will definitely be paying a return visit!

  My husband and I stayed at this wonderful condo. Lake Como is one of our favorite places in Europe. We normally stay at a Hotel in Bellagio and decided to try a Condo this time. It was well worth it. Very relaxing and the Condo is very well appointed. Large King Size bed was a real treat for european travel. The condo was well appointed with everything you need to make a vacation feel "special". We will definitely stay at this Condo again when we are in the Lake Como area. The views are wonderful.   I spent 25 days in this heavenly flat on Lake Como in Laglio, Italy. The property had a private terrace in a secured condominium facility, which was perfect for early morning coffees and after dinner glasses of wine. Listening to the sound of the water, church bells tolling in each of the Lake Como towns and hearing barking dogs in the utter stillness of the night was beyond therapeutic. The flat was beautifully kept with modern furnishings, newly renovated kitchen, and all amenities you could need. Loved the thoughtfulness of the bookshelf (I read 3!) and the tourist information. The property owner was extremely helpful in setting up my travel and the on-site property manager made the stay very easy. The area is beyond beautiful...amazing lakefront "beach" areas, the locals become family easily, dining is terrific and the local Bar Lanterna will make you feel at home. And, of course, George Clooney is 500 meters away. Highly recommended to anyone who needs and desires a true getaway that allows you to forget time.

  My boyfriend and I loved staying in this lovely, modern apartment perfectly situated in Laglio with beautiful views of the lake. With a comfortable king bed (a rarity in Europe) and plenty of closet space (not to mention shuttered terrace doors that opened up to the lake view), the bedroom was great! (There was another set of doors in the living room and a fairly private grassy area with chairs outside the doors). Although situated above the main road, the apartment was very quiet and dark (due to the shutters), so we slept extremely well. The kitchenette was more than sufficient although we never cooked as there are so many restaurants from which to choose within 15 minutes of the apartment. The bathroom is large and modern although I would've preferred a more traditional shower as opposed to the handheld shower head plus the water temperature wasn't very consistent and turns cool fairly quickly. (Again, I suppose this is part of the "charm" of Europe.) There is also a washer and dryer which is great, but make sure you get a tutorial on how to work them as we used them several times and never really figured it out. Overall the unit was clean, but someone needs to pay attention to the floor as the dust bunnies were rampant. The unit comes with a secured garage space as well as a security gate at the entrance. The downside was the automatic sensors weren't working and we didn't have a remote, so we had to get out of the car whenever we wanted to enter or exit the property and the garage. The owner was very responsive to all my questions and very flexible. Overall, we were very pleased with the property with it's excellent location, comfortable and quiet surroundings and beautiful views. We would recommend this property (and already have) to friends. It as an excellent value. If you go to Como, try La Griglia in Argegno...a wonderful, family-run restaurant. It's a little off the beaten path, but worth the drive. Lunch at Comacina on the island adjacent to Sala Comacina about 15 minutes north) was also worthwhile....a multi-course affair served outdoors overlooking the lake with a bit of island history provided by one of the locals. Albergo Fiorini is a charming lakeside restaurant in Carate Urio, one town south of Laglio...good food and very reasonable.

  My husband and I honeymooned at this great apartment in January 2009. We loved being there in the off-season, because we were able to get a sense of what life is like in Laglio and Como. And, it was gorgeous even in winter. We plan to go back with our two children within a couple years - this time in the summer to see a whole new Como and Laglio! The apartment itself was very clean, chic, and comfortable. There is a beautiful view of Lake Como from the bedroom and the living room, and one minute's walk has you throwing bread to the ducks in Lake Como. There is a delightful little cafe down the block. We had a blast driving the storybook roads winding between the city of Como and Laglio, and thoroughly enjoyed the culture and sights of Como City, which I believe boasts about 80,000 people. We will definitely stay at this modern, versatile, and utterly enjoyable apartment the next time we go to Como!
