First impression: amazing! Second impression: even better! Upon arrival Kawika had the fireplace on just inside the front door, and a bottle of wine and fruit basket on the counter - just PERFECT! I knew it would be a terrific vacation!!! Our family, my brother's family, and my other brother - 11 of us - spent a week in paradise. A typical day: coffee on the dock watching the loons and early-morning kayakers make their way across the lake; the kids in and out of the water all day; late afternoon cocktails on the deck; dinner on the grill; eating outside on the huge picnic table; reading by the fireplace each night. PERFECTION! Thank you to Tom for renting the house and to Kawika for going above and beyond and taking such good care of us.

When my family and I booked the home for our first vacation in over two years, our expectations were fairly modest; having older children and a few pups, our past experiences of vacation rental homes were without horror stories, but certainly not silver lined either. Camp Marion exceeded ALL of our expectations, and then some. The attention to detail in the home, the coziness partnered with modern amenities, top of the line appliances, and that view! All we could say was....WOW! If you truly love to relax, love the beauty that Maine has to offer, this home will NOT disappoint. From the tranquility of the lake, which is viewed from the entire living space, open gourmet kitchen, as well as the Master suite, to the comfort of the home, this was by far one of our best vacations to date....we will be going back next year and already counting down the days. Thank you Barrows family for extending your lovely home to our family!

This house was perfect for our families. We vacationed with 6 adults and 5 children (ages 14months - 7yrs. old). There was plenty of room for sleeping - downstairs had a great "kids area" with 2 sets of bunk beds and 2 futons, along with their own private bathroom and shower. Upstairs had 3 spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms. This place had everything you needed - linens, towels, kitchen equipment, etc. There wasn't much we needed to bring at all, and next time we will def. bring less. The lake was gorgeous, the neighbors were friendly and overall it was a great property to rent!! We will be returning :)

We just got home from our vacation. Our family of four, my in-laws, and my sister-in law and her husband had a fantastic time. There was no reason to leave; why would you leave paradise? The house was beyond our imagination with respect to cleanliness and the ammenities. The water was clear and comfortable; the views were spectacular. This was a family experience to put in the books. Hope to go next year.

We rented the house for the winter of 06-07 and it was absolutely wonderful. We used it as a part time residence(driving up from Rhode Island) and enjoyed the house very much. It is very spacious, well located and very well taken care of. It is really all you could want from a vacation home, truly a "turn key" kind of place. It had everything we needed, and we are strongly considering renting it again next winter as well. I thank Tom and Kawika for their effort and proffessionalism in their dealings with their house, it truly did make my stay special.

Unbelievably beautiful, yet warm, cozy and comfortable. The home looks like it belongs exactly where it is--the furniture and furnishings are also perfect for the space. It is everything the owner promises. The only thing we would add to our vacation there would be days. It was over way too soon.

I was born in Industry Maine and have relatives that I visit every year. My family moved to Connecticut when I was little. My best friend wanted to see Maine and find out for herself why I was always stating how I had to go home and re-generate my life battery. So I rented Tom's home to show her family what my Maine was all about. I could not have picked a better home for all of us. It fit 11 people very comfortable with lots of room to move or be alone. It allowed the kids to be kids. Fishing was the best bass fishing my son and I have had in years, Tom your boat was a hit. My friend asked me how I could ever have thought to live anywhere but in peaceful Industry Maine. I think Mary must have ran every road around the lake twice just looking at all the cute camps and the wild life. It was truly a home way from home. Thank you Tom for opening up your house to us.

I had the pleasure of renting the Barrows lake home for 4 months over the course of this past winter (‘05-‘06), along with several of my friends. We used the home as a base of operations for snowboarding at Sugarloaf and Sunday River. The home is immaculately kept, very nicely furnished, and located on a pristine lot on Clearwater Pond. As made obvious by the photographs on this site, the location affords a beautiful view of the surrounding land. Travel time to Sugarloaf: approx. 40 minutes – Sunday River: approx. 1 hour. Overall staying at this home was a great experience if you are considering it for yourself you should jump on the opportunity.

We stayed at this incredible lake house this past fall. It is situated on a beautiful, crystal clear lake in the mountains of Western Maine. The home is clean and has anything that you would want in a lake house. There is great space, well layed out for multiple families. The enormous wrap around deck is where we spent most of our time with lobster bakes and hamburger and hots dogs! Lots to do for every age group, swimming, boating, hiking, a walk in the woods, and the quaint town of Farminton just 5 miles away. This property is nicest place we have found! We highly recommend it!
