We were four women and a child under two years of age. We had more than enough space. Denis installed a safety fence keeping our child on the area of the porch away from the pool. We did not have to worry about his safety on the property- a huge plus for all of us. The views are indeed exquisite and the amenities and location could not have been better. Because of the baby, we did not walk to the beach below, but you can easily drive down to it in about 2 minutes. The water was so calm and clear that his first beach experience was such a success, that was all he wanted to do. Ditto for all four adults! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

My husband and I had an amazing stay at Sea Sound Villa for the Christmas/New Year holidays with our two daughters and my parents. We arranged our stay through Laurie, who was a joy to work with and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed, including groceries in the villa upon our late night arrival, directions to a local church for Christmas services, and even a Christmas tree! The ocean sounds wafting up to the Sea Sound veranda and the views of the beaches and islands are incredible! The stocked kitchen at the villa enabled us cook whatever meals we wanted and the beach towels, sunscreen and bug spray provided were fantastic extra touches. Mosquitos and "No-See-Ums" can be pesky in the islands! We appreciated the maps and the CD for use in the car for a “guided” tour of the island. We even found a puzzle which we enjoyed after the sun went down. The villa is very spacious and even with 6 people, never felt cramped in the upstairs 2-bedroom space. We especially loved the way the villa is oriented – there are neighbors, but the view to the water is unobstructed and you feel as if you are the only people for miles. The villa was very quiet and peaceful. Getting to the nearby beaches, which are rock and coral beaches, entails a strenuous walk down a fairly steep road, followed by a short trek through a jungle path. Since we were traveling with kids and our older parents, this wasn’t ideal for us. However, we were able to use the beach at the nearby Sapphire Beach Resort which offers chairs and equipment for rent. The close proximity to Red Hook was perfect. It allowed easy access to day sails as well as the ferry terminal for trips to St. John, Tortola, Jost Van Dyke and Virgin Gorda. The location was great for dining out in Red Hook or making quick trips to either Marina Market in Red Hook or the Food Center just beyond Red Hook for groceries. It was far enough away from Charlotte Amalie to avoid the traffic and crowds, but close enough to easily make trips to visit Blackbeard’s Castle, Magic Ice and Paradise Point - all "must-do's". It was just a short drive in the other direction to visit Magen’s Bay Beach, Coki Point, Drake's Seat and Mountain Top (a must see!). Don't miss Senor Pizza in Red Hook, sailing on Rumbaba, Honeymoon Beach (St. John), Myett's at Cane Garden Bay (Tortola), the Soggy Dollar (JVD) or the Baths on Virgin Gorda (try Breakaway Charters.) We loved Sea Sound and can't wait to return to the islands!

I normally don't post reviews, but I must say, my family and I had an awesome time at Pelican beach this past November. Talk about total rest and relaxation. St. Thomas has always been a vacation spot for us once we do have time to get away, but this time we decided that rather than going to a traditional hotel, we wanted to experience the island life-style type of accommodation. This Villa is absolutely gorgeous. The pictures do no justice to how serene, peaceful and scenic it truly is. I just want to thank the management staff for being so warming, consistent and very accommodating from start to end. The customer service was wonderful and they actually listen to your needs and give it there best to make sure we were taken care of. I mean from ground transportation to providing information on places to eat and island events. If you are considering Pelican Beach, don't hesitate, I promise you, you won't be disappointed. We definitely will be visiting again! Thanks for making this trip one of our most memorable!!

We had a wonderful week at the Sea Sound Villa! The home was beautiful! The view was amazing! And the beds were unbelievably comfortable! I took several naps on the hammock, had coffee on the porch every morning, swam in the pool, and walked to the beach! And the flowers were beautiful! Secret Harbor, where the wedding was, was delightful, and we made it to Mountain Top to view Magen's Beach, then spent an entire day there. This was an amazing beach for relaxing and snorkeling! I also want to thank Denis for his quick response on the AC problem. We were absolutely shocked to find people working on the unit when we came back from the wedding Sat. night at 11:30PM. What service! We never got to St. John, but that is okay. It was really hard to leave the house. We were so comfortable!

We recently rented this house as the first vacation for our 6 month old son. We loved the house! It was very private with the most beautiful views and the private pool was great for our son's first experience. The beach was within walking distance and was very private as well. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook every meal (and we LOVE to cook!). Everything about this house was perfect and we plan to go back again every year while our son is young. it was perfect.

I used to live in St. Thomas for several years and my in laws stayed at this house once. Being a local, you get to know just about any place to stay on island and this house is the best of them all for many reasons! It is in an excellent location, the views are spectacular, and the wrap around deck makes the house! Once there you will not want to leave. Now coming back as a visitor, Sea Sound Villa is the only place we would stay! Also the pool location is great, sun all day. Also, a short walk to Lindquist beach, which is my favorite beach on island. This beach is so special to me because unless you have lived on island, as a visitor you do not know about it.

We had a wonderful visit to Sea Sound three years ago and just had a return trip, Feburary, 2011. The home is fantastic, has been meticulously maintained, and is (unbelievably) even more beautiful than our visit a few years back. It is quite evident that Sea Sound is well loved and cared for. The view is second to none on the island. It is close enough to the conveniences of Red Hook that you want for nothing, but at the same time "off the beaten path".... remote and private. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our vacation time with our family and look forward to our return trip.

From the beginning to end, we loved our stay at SeaSound Villa. Laurie, who was my primary contact before I got to the villa, was extremely responsive and helpful. Denis, who is the property manager, had made sure the house was ready for us when we arrived - a/c turned on, beers in a cooler on the porch, enough towels for everyone and plenty of small water bottles in the fridge. The pool is wonderful, the view amazing, the beds comfortable and everything was very clean. There were 7 of us staying - 2 couples and 3 single friends. The one drawback is that the 3rd bedroom was in its own separate apartment, but I can barely call it a drawback. The apt is literally a short walk around the house and down a few flights of stairs. We walked to beaches from our place - 1 is called St James Beach I think and you have to take a little path, then walk along the coastline for about 5 minutes before you get to the beach. Very doable and well worth it when we saw the beach. The other one is Sapphire Beach, and this is where we went to take our day sail. If you walk down the driveway, it's only a few minutes walk to the Safari Taxis, which are $1/person to get to Red Hook, the nearest town. All of us were so glad we stayed here versus the hotels in Charlotte Amalie. It's close enough to the beaches and restaurants, but far enough from the cruise ships and their crowds. I highly recommend this place!

We (a group of seven 30 and 40 year olds) loved it! It's private (we only saw the neighbors once in three days), clean, roomy and well taken care of. Comfortable beds, AC, fans, big open kitchen fully stocked with spices and everything else. Lovely pool and deck in the sun, beautiful views of sea and islands to the north from the large shaded dining patio, relaxing hammock, lots of deck chairs. It's quite a short walk down to either Sapphire Beach (lively with amenities) or Lidquist Beach (quiet and romantic) and a short cab ride into Redhook, but we had the best time just hanging out at the villa. Laurie (the off site manager) and Denis (the local caretaker) were both extremely helpful. We'd recommend this villa to anyone.

An idyllic place, beautiful views and setting, Sea Sound is peaceful and secluded yet with access to activities and fun. Red Hook and Sugar Bay are great places for activities and food. Emerald beach is a must; all of them very close by. Owners are very nice and accommodating. It was well worth the time spent, I have recommended it my friends.

Our family has stayed at Sea Sound at least twice a year for the past 5 years. We love it! It always clean and its location, ambience, furnishings and layout are perfect for a relaxing vacation. Our favorite spot is the covered deck which has a 180 degree view extending from Lindquist Beach to Cruz Bay, St. John. Many days are lost with a good book, a little sun, dip in the pool, and cool refreshments. If we want a little beach time, it's a short walk down to the white sand and clear waters of Pelican Bay. Red Hook is a short drive if we need a few groceries or a little rum, or just a night out on the town. Can't wait to go back!

Sea Sound Villa was everything we expected and MORE!! We have rented many houses in the VI and this was by far the BEST! From the great location, only minutes from Red Hook, the house itself, the pool and the wonderful wraparound covered deck! Everything about our stay was perfect! The owner is very accommodating and available if you should need some help. The house has everything anyone would need; updated kitchen, spacious great room, large comfortable bed rooms, with en-suite baths, the pool was a perfect size, and has sun throughout the day. There is a covered porch adjacent to the pool for those of us with fairer skin. The views are spectacular and the gentle roll of the surf is delightful. We have been coming to the islands for 30 years and staying at Sea Sound made it one of our most memorable times on Island. We are planning to return to Sea Sound Villa next spring!

Sea Sound Villa is a gem! It is in a great location, which is very important. The pool (which gets sun all day! and the wrap around porch are fabulous! The view of the other islands is spectacular and you are not far from the beach! All the amenities of the house are outstanding. We have been coming to St. Thomas for years and stayed in numerous hotels and rental houses, and Sea Sound Villa is the best! We will be back....
