We loved our stay in this charming apartment. It's in an older building that's not perfect but it's perfect. It's quintessential New York. It's walking distance to Central Park, restaurants, cafe's, 7-11, Starbucks, etc. Plenty of room, nice size bathroom and lots of closet space. Dov was a breeze to deal with too. Can't thank him enough.

the building is undergoing renovations & the room needed some. but you can enjoy the aura of a classic gone old. the townhouse now apartments is located 1/2 block from the C/B line which takes you to the heart of the city. as a native new yorker I was pleased with the area & accommodations for a great price! (there are stairs to deal with, no elevator)

The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We were able to find free curbside parking, close by. The subway (orange line) was a five-minute walk and the red line was about 10 minutes away. Comfortable bed. Nice, warm shower with great water pressure! The only downside was a smelly hallway and the sagging stairway. Thanks for the memories!

Just returned from the stay here and it definitely lived up to my expectations. Considering the price - this is the best deal in NYC! The bed and the sofa bed were very comfy. I personally slept on the sofa bed and it had a great mattress on it. The neighborhood is quiet, the access to the subway could not be any more convenient, Central Park is just 1/2 block away, and great dining (I suggest Bella Luna) is only 1/2 block in the other direction. Everything you could want is within minimal walking distance of the apartment. The apartment is old, but clean, and has alot of character. Would highly recommend, and even plan on coming back again some time and staying the same place.

We totally loved the apt, perfect place to crash after a day's round of sightseeing. The apt was bright and airy with high ceilings, within a few mins walk to Central park, subway and diners on Columbus Ave. The neighborhood was quiet and charming. The only drawbacks were the locks didn't seem strong enough and the stairs were a bit out shape. We got in late and Dov had made arrangements for us to access the place. Will definitely recommend this place.

Wow! Just returned from 3 amazing nights in this studio. The location is so convenient with Central Park, the subway and delicious restaurants all within a 5 minute walk. The street itself is quiet and tree lined. Our little dog loved the opportunity to join us in the city...thanks to this condo's flexible dog policy. The condo has a historic feel and I am glad the owner kept the old charm. However, if you are expecting the renovations and updates of the Ritz than this may not be for you. Great value for city accommodations.

Great location, loved having Central Park and subway at the corner of our street. Apartment was spacious enough for our family of 5 (3 kids all managed to share queen size sofa bed). Great to have cable and wifi available. Lovely and quiet for NY too. Building itself was a bit musty, staircase very rickety, but these things didn't affect our stay at all. I would think that for a little investment in paint and decor this apartment could move from good to great.

We were in Nov. 2011. I was running the NY Marathon and was with 3 family members. Even with four of us we were pretty comfortable. It's at a great location.. walking distance to the park and to some great restaurants. The building is older and a little crooked but it adds a bit of charm :) Very little extras in the kitchen (one spoon I think).. but the pull-out bed is pretty comfy. But be careful with the bathroom door. It slides shut but because the bathroom slightly slopes, the door slams shut. One thing to mention - I never met Dov but I had gotten the check out time wrong and while we were at a taping of "Anderson" he called saying that the cleaning lady was at the apartment and that check out was two hours ago! I apologized profusely and he was more than understanding. Would definitely stay again!

Ottima ubicazione a pochi passi dalla metro, ambiente comodo e pulito anche se non molto curato nelle rifiniture, il propietario è dispononibile e gentile. Sicuramente da consigliare , noi ci siamo trovati molto bene.

The flat has an enormous potential, it is in the perfect location (just a few steps to Central PArk and Underground Station), but it is in serious need of some renovation. The heating system was a bit erratic and the staircase is rickety (no lift). The door does not close properly. However, the property was clean, and all amenities available.

We spent a week in this large studio which is 1/2 block from Central Park and very close to shopping, restaurants. The subway is 1/2 block away. The initial impression of the building was not favorable and walking up to the 3rd floor apartment left us wondering if we made a mistake as the linoleum was peeling from the stairs which were sloped to one side. Plus there was a strong smell of mothballs on the 2nd floor. However, the apartment was clean, large and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Very old building and old apartment with no special amenities, so you get what you pay for, but we actually enjoyed our stay here, especially the location and price.

I needed a place to stay, at the last minute, that would take my dog. I was lucky when I came across the listing for this place and even more so beause it had a last minute cancellation and I was able to secure it the same day. This place was just what I needed for me, my mom and my dog. Though only 1 room it was VERY SPACIOUS! The owner (Dov) was extremley nice and because my mom had to communicate with him on my behalf (I'd just started a new job), she had nothing but good things to say about him. I would recommend this space to anyone visiting NYC. The subway was right on the corner and at Dov's advice, my mom took my dog to Central Park and he LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance and every night we ate somewhere different and was also able to bring the dog along. If I am ever in need of a place to stay, I am going to check here first.
