Comfortable Brand New Studio with Ac in 16th Century Building
- Minimum stay:N/A
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
This is a typical Parisian studio with stone walls and exposed beams. It is located on the French first floor (American 2nd floor) of a 16th century building opposite to the metro and the UniversIty Jussieu.
The studio has been entirely redecorated and refurnished on Dec. 2009. It has all you need during your stay. Crockery, linen and towels are provided. It is very bright and overlooks the Place and University Jussieu.
The particularity of this studio is that the bed is stored at the ceiling during day time. This allows you to enjoy the entire space. At night, the bed is pulled down and it turns the studio into a big bedroom where you can relax or watch TV. The bathroom is cute and handy (hand sink, toilet, shower). The kitchen corner has all you need for a relaxed breakfast or a self catering.
The neighborhood is very lively, with lots of cafés and restaurants. There is a good bakery, a well supplied supermarket and a bio food shop at 150 meters. We also have 3 street markets.

We stayed at the studio apartment on the Rue des Boulangers for six nights... and we were completely satisfied with every aspect of our stay. Nothing new to report that has not previously been said... - the owner, Vilay, is really nice, helpful, and kind - the location of the studio is terrific, steps away from Station Jussieu, all necessary amenities, and that little lunch place just below where the toasted sandwiches are great - price per night is very good value, we think - condition of the studio was clean and fresh with modern mixing with the antique, very cozy - that bed is so cool - travel books, maps, brochures and the free wi-fi, use of speakers, phone, etc were useful The fact that the space is relatively small was in no way a negative for us... In fact, I would choose to stay in this studio over any hotel in Paris. What a great experience this was for us; we'll definitely be back here again someday soon. Thanks Vilay and vrbo.com!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The apartment was smaller than I was expecting but it was very clean and Vilay was very helpful providing tips on places to eat and see during my stay. There is an outstanding sandwich shop right next door and also a short walk away are Notre Dame, the markets at Rue Monge and Rue Moffetard. There are many Boulangiers in the area as well as the bars and restaurants of the Latin Quarter, which are roughly a ten minute walk.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Great place to stay! I had eight days and found it clean comfortable and a great location. Best shower in my six week holiday! Good security for female traveling solo. Bed was brilliant idea. The mattress a little firm but I like it better than too soft alternative. I will stay again. And send friends !Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed in this precious apartment for 6 nights in August. The location across from the metro was wonderful. There are many great restaurants within short walking distance with very reasonable prices. We walked to the Seine to watch the sunset each night very easily. The apartment is completely outfitted with everything you need to prepare small meals, which we did frequently. Throughout the rental process the owner, Vilay, was extremely helpful. She always replied promptly to my emails with helpful, friendly responses. We met her for a drink one night and she was great!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Less than 50 steps from Jussieu metro station. Vilay (owner) is very responsive and delightful to deal with, and provided excellent recommendations for nearby shopping and dining. Although studio is not large, it is very clean, comfortable, well organized and equipped. Easy connections via Metro and RER train to CDG airport (around 10 Euro each way). Walking distance to many Paris attractions, including Notre Dame. Just around the corner from several bistros, pattiseries and grocery shopping. I will recommend to friends travelling to Paris, and would definitely return. Overall, good value and an excellent place to stay while visiting Paris!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This truly is a well situated and cosy little apartment. It is centered in the busy and lively University District of Paris and is within walking distance of all Paris has to offer, see and do. The apartment is well equipped and the bed, located above when in stored position, is a great feat of engineering! It is a perfect place for a couple or a solo traveler, such as myself. The cost in respect to the location, amenities and the fact this is in the heart of Paris cannot be beat! The only minor issue that may affect some is a noise issue, as it is located over a Metro line. You may hear and detect the rumblings of the in and out going trains. Quite honestly, like anything, you become accustomed to it very quickly and it caused me no concern. Dealing with Vilay was a pleasure as she truly is helpful, engaging and does not keep you waiting on any responses about her apartment rental. I stayed in this apartment for a week during which there were many student festivities around the area and it was just great. Whether this is your first time or a return trip you will enjoy this apartment! This must be one of the most efficient apartments in Paris. It contains everything you might need or want during your stay in Paris. The living space is very clean and comfortable, the bathroom is modern (with good water pressure) and the kitchen area is fully equipped. The wireless internet is very fast, air conditioning is available if you need it, as is access to BBC News. Most importantly, Vilay is very gracious and extremely helpful. She went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable during a very unusual May warm spell. Her transit information is accurate and she has a great deal of tourist information for her guests. The apartment's location is very convenient to the Metro, the RER (regional trains to the airport and Versailles,) Notre Dame and several excellent restaurants. We would definitely recommend this apartment to our friends.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I spent eight wonderful nights in this spotlessly clean, ideally located, and comfortable studio. It was our first time in Paris (why it took so long to get there we'll never know!!!) and Vilay, the studio's owner, provided excellent suggestions for experiencing her wonderful city. She is lovely and eager to provide assistance if needed. The Metro access located in the little square across the street made travel throughout Paris easy. We instantly felt part of this neighborhood - from our friend the Crepe lady across the street, to the patisserie owners downstairs, we thoroughly enjoyed this location. Simply put, we loved this little gem and looked forward to going "home" each night!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My friend and I work as flight attendants and often make quick trips. This studio was perfect for our 4 day visit to Paris. Vilay, the owner, was so accommodating of our short trip, schedule and very helpful once we got there with lots of information and tips for our stay. The studio is perfect for anyone who wants great walking AND subway access to Paris. As with all apartments in Paris, it is quite small but we were outside and seeing the city all day and loved having a safe and secure place to return to in the evening. We had everything we needed during our stay. The area the apartment is in is awesome with lots of restaurants, bars and AMAZING crepes and bread!!! I will definitely stay here again when I go back to see Paris in the summer.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
